I've learned more about Cognac from this than any other video I've watched. Excellent work. Thank you

I'm more of a whiskey guy. I got wide variety of fancy bottles from all over the world. But I also keep a few bottles of fine cognac in case if I wanna tell friends that this is a blend of finest whiskeys finished in all kinds of casks and they'll be like, oh yeah, I can feel that 😂 😂

Just a new glass to drink it out of would make it easier lol the current snifter glass is kind of a turn off, so some other more inviting glass would be good… plus mix it with coke, diet or zero…

Whisky has freed itself from the snobby, pretentious and traditional shackles. That's why a Japanese whisky has currently been voted the best in the world. I can find more of a variety of 10 year old whiskies than VS Cognac. Whisky was become pocket friendly too.

The problem of cognac is that it all comes only from a tiny part of France if it wants to be called cognac. Otherwise you can get armagnac (which also glued to Armagnac province) or simple brandy which is basically the same product. While literally anyone in the world can make booze called whiskey.

I wouldn't stick cognac in cocktails 😂 just use Three Barrels or another cheaper brandy.
It would be like sticking scotch in cocktails instead of JD or some nasty blend like Bells.

Guy wrong towards the end of the video. Bourbon is more American not French. Anything that name or done by American only attractive to American. It not a trend. I'm not a fan of the french. But I would agree they have class in food and drinks. But I prefer Italian culture over French.

Dude at 1:00 says cognac is the result of 800 years of slave trade

He doesn’t mean slavery. He means trading between people and the exporting of cultures
