The Price Is Right: Luckiest Contestant Ever!

- This is one of my favorite contestants on The Price Is Right. Meet Taylor; he's celebrating his nineteenth birthday on The Price Is Right, and becomes one of the luckiest guys ever! This video is the property of Freemantle Media and CBS with no intent of copyright infringement.
I love how Drew is genuinely excited with the contestants, and is willing to not show restraint when someone wins (especially epically like this). Say all you want about him not being Bob Barker, but he's a perfect fit for the show. :)
Hell, I like him better than Bob. it always felt like Bob was just going through the motions when hosting the show. Drew actually feels like a person. he's genuinely happy when the contestant wins and visibly bummed when they lose.
I'm undecided between Bob and Drew. Both host the game in their own way, granted Bob had a few decades of "practice" more than Drew, and there's no telling how long Drew wants to stay on as host. It would be nice if Drew has a nice long run nearly equaling Bob, but I'm sure Drew misses acting and maybe at sometime, pass the torch onto someone else... I hope that doesn't happen, but anything can happen.
I like both Drew and Bob. They are from different generations, Bob's is simply more reserved.
Walter White yeah, for most of the legendary wins in his time, he was too frail to be jumping around like a lunatic, he was still awesome though.
It's not like he gets paid less
That kid had more luck in one day than I've had my entire life !
more like about 10 minutes
Everybody has a run at one time or another. It's not always about cash or gaming.
Ain’t that the truth some people are just chosen
@@davidhutchinson5233 Still waiting for my run. So far all I've ever gotten is the runs.
My biggest luck is my current gf. I feel like I'm the luckiest man ever. Hopefully forever.
He will never forget his 19th Birthday
Ain't that the truth.
Nor his unfortunate choice in shirts.
The day he won a 30k car and couldn't pay the 10k in taxes to receive it lol sucks
Shit!! Ill never forget his 19th birthday!!!! 🤣🤣😂😂
So won't the IRS
I was in the audience for this show… the kid was amazing. He had the audience going. During the commercial, he would be dancing all over the stage. Drew loved him. I believe the didn’t have enough audience, they recruited him just walking by the studio. Awesome!
That's pretty cool. When was this filmed? 😊
why lie to strangers on the internet? is it an attention thing?
That guy was jailed for cheating!
I wonder if he felt lucky when he found out he needs to pay tax on everything
@@Reidjameson9991 Lots of cash winnings. No problem on taxes.
I LOVED how Drew jumped up, he acted like he won the mustang!!! That was so awesome!!! Congrats for winning.
Agreed, I rewatched it over and over because of how excited Drew got throwing his arms up and hopping up and down was great
Did the kid throw the dollar in the audience??
Steve Harvey walks on stage: "I'd like to apologize"
LOL WHAT
Wow, man. Even watching this today never fails to bring a tear to my eye. Everything went right for Taylor on his 19th birthday. Congrats to that lucky man.
How very sad for you.

I can’t believe this is already a dozen years old, AND that Drew Carey has been on TPIR for that long. Time flies
@@gohabs8918 I can't believe it's not butter!

*30 second intro that caused a controversial rating on this video*
I wonder what song was used for that intro?
@@MatthewTheMattam I know it's from iMovie.
Thumbs down because you chopped it up with your own stupid little "commercials".
I did the same
Yep, I did that too.
I did it too everyone should do the same
Shove your video! You took the wind out of it with your stupid ads. Screw you buddy! I'll never watch another one of your patronizing pieces of garbage.
OneSkiWonder you right
I wish The Price is Right would do a "Where Are They Now" show, like where is Taylor today? What did he do with both of those cars? Does he still have that giant American Flag? Did he take the trip to Boston? What did he do with the $26,000 he won? I often wonder about these contestants and where are they now?
Unfortunately, I have heard statistics that indicate that the majority of lottery winners go completely bankrupt after a few years. I worry that the same might be true for the biggest game show winners. I think this might be related to the axiom: "Easy come, easy go", or as William Shakespeare put it: "That which we obtain too easily, we esteem too lightly."
I hope that Taylor managed to avoid this pitfall. Perhaps, due to still being a teenager, he had some strong guidance from a parent or guardian who helped convince him to take good care of his car(s) and to invest that money wisely. If Taylor was really wise, it could mean that he gets to retire several years earlier than his similarly situated peers and enjoy a longer life of freedom.
With two cars and a vacation, the 26K probably just covered the taxes on his winnings.
agiar2000 Did you really just compare winning the lottery to winning not even $80 in cash and prizes? Not even the same, at all.
Jason McGraw
No, actually, I just compared winning the lottery to winning nearly $80,000 in cash and prizes. I agree that no, it is not exactly the same as winning the lottery, but it shares the similarity of a sudden, unexpected windfall won mostly by chance. This similarity is what I am comparing, and I could imagine that someone in Taylor's position might be tempted to overestimate the value of the prize and spend it too freely.
agiar2000 80,000 is not a life changing event. you want a update? he took a couple weeks off, went back to work. bought some nice clothes and partied a bit, then put the rest in his savings. and now he's back to the same lifestyle he was living before
I love Drew Carey's enthusiasm when someone wins. He's awesome! Love this show!
Maybe Bob would have jumped except he had a bad back...
I remember staying home from school, pretending to be sick and watching the price is right, some of my fondest memories.
This is on a Game Show Cheaters playlist, he’s not a cheater, he’s just extremely lucky!
Exactly. Some people still also think Michael Larson of PYL fame was a cheater... but we all know he's not, since there was no rule against learning the patterns of the board. He just took advantage of an exploit in the system.
@@JonesDylan874 Technically that makes the guy who memorized the prices of items on Price is Right not a cheater either. You are gaming the system and have a massive advantage over the typical player. That level of expertise in something is best used for Jeopardy, where it's expected you know or study stuff.
In a game that is supposed to be "chance" based, or values of items people wouldn't expect (a diamond necklace being 1,482 in value is absurd to just "know"), then knowing how these things work effectively guarantees you a win. It's completely absurd to expect other contestants to require this level of knowledge just to play or have a chance.
I feel like cheating on the price is right would be incredibly difficult
@@sebvexx It would be, as the values of items would need to be exact. If they recycled the same prizes over and over again, then one might be able to memorize the prices like a pattern.
It's the same as how Larson on PYL was able to play so hard. Watching enough of it to study gave him the exact pattern of how the spins went. It's all based on the company not changing up the values as needed.
If they had the same prize listed at different (and increasing) prices due to to inflation, it would absolutely kill any memorization tactics and make it pretty damn near impossible to cheat.
@karanoelle4819 well now the prizes are more random and remember they always round up
did anyone else dislike the video for this guys intro lol
Aggro On Fleek Yeah. What the *HELL* was that? ...
Aggro On Fleek
Yep, before it even finished. I mean seriously, that's not how to advertise ur channel..
Dislike? I wanted to smash my tablet because of this idiot.
Yep.

Just seeing drew Carrey more excited than contestant is worth the price of admission
Admission at TPIR is free...
Within the name of being a being on Earth.
every person deserves a moment like this. even just once.
Several years ago, my mom’s practice lost its biggest client, which was about three quarters of her practice, my pop had left her the December before, and she still purchased charity tickets for a preview grand opening of a major department store. She gave me and my bestie the tickets and we went. They were having $100 gift cards raffles every half hour and me and the bestie were filling them out as fast as we could.
I suggested to her let’s each do at least one for mom cuz she gave us the tickets. In other words, my mom won one of the gift cards. When I called to tell her, she started crying out happy. When you’re a lawyer you don’t cry easily. She was able to go get a couple new outfits for holiday functions she was invited to and put her in the holiday spirit. Everyone deserves a moment like this...doesn’t matter rich or poor, it’s the happiness and hope every person deserves 😊
You're right 👍
Love this comment, i really agree
Why?
did anyone notice the amount of times the dude flipped his hair LMFAO
I love Drew so much. No game show host is as happy for the winning contestants.
actual retail price is a new video🤣🤣
I actually remember watching this episode. I just could not believe the unbelievable luck that kid had. What would have made it unbelievably perfect would have been if he'd gotten the $500 right bid payout, AND winning BOTH showcases! But all in all a day he will NEVER forget I'm sure. To me, the best part was watching "still in weight loss transition" Drew do a Happy dance when the kid won against ALL odds!

@@andymerrett 😂😂😂
David I agree with you!!!
What people forget is that the prizes are NOT totally free. He has to pay the sales tax on everything he won. But he has $26,000 in cash (minus taxes) to pay the taxes. Very lucky birthday boy indeed!
Damn, they really kill you with those taxes. He probably sold the second car and made some money back too.
Oh hi buzz killington
"I won $26,000 _cash!_ Now I can afford to pay the taxes on all the _other_ shit that I won!! 8^D"
Right?! Lol. I was wondering how much taxes he would have to pay for all that.
+rowelle Twenty percent for starters.
I remember when Oprah gave her whole audience cars a few years ago, some of them were pissed because they didn't know they had to pay taxes for it.
rowelle "YOU get a huge tax bill! And YOU get a huge tax bill! And YOU! And YOU! You ALL get huge tax bills!!!" x^D
+rowelle that's because Oprah's audience is full of people who think they're entitled. Whiny little fucking liberal retards.
it was funny to see him so excited he was rolling on the floor. I wanna be that excited for something!!
Six years later, I hope you found your excitement, doll.
Aren't we all? 😁
Buy a pet rock! 😅
The car costs 1 dollar.
He has exactly one dollar.
The government makes us pay taxes.
He needs more than a dollar.
He then goes on to throw the dollar into the crowd.
He now has $0.00
Zeta Uphill Of the $79000 plus dollars He won he will only have to pay 35% gift tax to the US Government, their fair share.
That is appx. $27,650.00 dollars Tax on His free gifts... good thing He won $26,000.00 cash.
Steve Mazzoncini don't forget hr only pays tax on cash he has won, material prizes cannot be divided and therefore not taxed, he only loses 35% of the 26,000
At the end he ends up with just under 80k so I don't think. That 1 dollar was worth it
Poor girl at the end... Her competitor was the man the universe chose that day.
This guy practically put price is right out of business 😂 not really, but the cbs executives were probably cringing rly hard watching him win all that money!
The prizes are furnished by sponsors and that small amount of money is nothing.
He has to pay the taxes and after the taxes of the cash prize, it made his win palatable
@@BlackAnvil47 nope
I watched this live! I remember! I couldn’t believe how much he won! Lol
Yeah. Lucky SOB. But it was his birthday. He's young. Good for him :-)

That kid had charisma! The casting people did a great job selecting him…..He was so likable!
I think the video title is misleading. Sure, he won 2 cars and a bunch of money, but he still has to go to Boston.
im considering creating a new youtube channel, just to like this comment again.
I LAST MAH GAD DAM CAH KEYS
The kid looked very appreciative for winning all this. GOOD FOR HIM:)
Luckily he won enough cash on the big wheel to pay the incredible taxes he needed to pay when you win anything in the US.
Good for him!
And everyone, including you, who makes the "taxes" comment is simply showing how jealous and envious they really are. Pathetic! 👎
That seems like a super jaded comment but it's super pragmatic. He probably still went out of pocket if he kept both cars.
Jesus effin Christ
Americans need to STFU about money. You are the richest people in the world, act like it
And still have some cash left for spending it at the gas station
Our taxes are much lower than almost any other developed country. Germany is almost double ours. So not sure what you’re complaining about. No universal healthcare but we do have low taxes!
You know it's got to be hard for Drew to maintain his " You still have a chance" attitude, when he knows they stand almost no chance
3:29 Drew is acting like he won the car! XD
I like how excited he gets when someone wins big on the show. Unlike Bob Barker. But don't get me wrong, Bob is the face of Price is Right.
I think Bob was just burned out. 30 years of it.

Taylor now directs music videos in Hollywood hes doing quite nicely
His 19th birthday will always be known as the day that Taylor won.
This kid's birthday luck was insane.
He had to have had the best birthday ANYONE has ever had.
Unless he couldn't get laid that night.
yeah double win on the wheel that was crazy by itself but then two cars man he was super lucky to win all of it that kid was so lucky to win everything that he won
it was the birthday of a lifetime for that kid
Dude should change his name to Luck Skywalker 😂
well there was this one guy that won Wipeout on his birthday
Taylor must have collected 40 4 leaf Clovers before coming to the show
Either that, or he was born under a very lucky star.

Michael Misseri I'm thinking more like 50 clovers & 50 horseshoes.
Michael Misseri 😂😂teah
Michael Misseri he ate them.
Horrible intro. Please stop doing that!
Although the intro WAS indeed, horrible, the fact that he put it right in the middle of a scene made in even worse. Then adding "he went berzerk" is a total spoiler.
they havent won anything yet and act like total retards. they wouldnt act like that and they have a disabilitiy. win something then go fukin nuts!!

the dude won 2 flipping cars XD
and $26,000 in cash for gas money!
God damn :0000
Yeah, and the taxman is waiting backstage to congratulate him and to inform him that he's not that lucky
Conspiracy Fact but lucky for him, he won the 25k in cash to use for the taxes he'll have to pay for the prizes he won 😉
Sandy DiVa that's exactly what I was thinking, and CA taxes ain't cheap, especially with all the emissions gadgets that have to be on the car. Ain't no way you can even get a car outta the state without them, and they be seriously pricey!
Conspiracy Fact he could sell and buy a cheaper car
He still comes out ahead even after taxes. It's like when people say if you win $100,000 you give 40% to the government...well that still leaves me with &60,000 more than I had before I won!
Jallel Cumington the
If he actually won two showcases, the showcase number board would struggle to display 6 digits ($108167) 😂
Well, back then, the Eggcrate displays on those Showcase podiums could only show 5 digits, unless it's a primetime show, then they got different podiums that COULD display 6 digits. But, nowadays, the Showcase podiums CAN definitely fit 6 digits. Just like the Contestant's Row displays can show 5 digits if a car is an IUFB (again, in this day and age).
That's it, I'm naming my first born Taylor.
lol I'm dead
Was that intro really necessary
prototype9000 it felt like I hit a brick wall
Luckiest kid, I feel good for him. However, the intro on this video was too late and in the most awkward of places. Puerto Rican Dude, you could have done a better job with editing brother.
***** Tell me where my grammar was wrong. I typed his name like he did. I only separated "Dude".
BFKAnthony817 It wasn't your grammar. It was the location of it. You should put it at the beginning of the video, not right when he is about to tell you the actual retail price. I almost didn't watch it because I wasn't sure if it was going to continue.
This is one of my favorite TPIR clips. The only thing better for this kid, on his Birthday, would be if by sheer luck again he had won both Showcases. What a show!
If he had taken Toree with him to Boston, they drove off in the Mustang together and lived happily ever after.
I thought I would be jealous of this lucky S.O.B., but it felt good watching someone being blessed with good fortune.
That editing thing at the beginning was stupid and awful!
Someone thought he was cool when he edited this video..... Who told you that adding your own shit was a good idea?

It's not his content. The TV company produced the show, hired the presenters, the staff etc.
He added the "He went berserk"

Everytime I feel sad or upset I just watch this it always makes me feel better
It's fun to watch someone win big and be so excited. Congratulations!

That was amazing🎊I was so excited for him! 🤩 ..I was not familiar with this show. looks awesome
wouldnt it be funny if his parents got him a car for his birthday?xD that'd be 3 cars in one day, plus the scooter and 75k dollars ofc.
+Jimbo Holo He only won $26,000 in cash. The $79k mentioned at the end was the combined value of all his prizes.
Yep, then want to move back in 8 months later when he pisses it all away on house parties, ninja weapons collection, and a heroin habit.
