GOOGAN BAITS the Truth, Why so many Issues, Problems, Hate with the Squad

- I have been watching what is going on with Googan Baits lately, and I usually keep to my own thoughts. I watched LunkersTV video on how he was showing the craw and comparing to other companies baits. He shouldn't have to show the differences in the lures, and I know personally for me it would bother me as well. There is a lot of hard work and behind the scenes effort that goes into making a lure. They have gotten so muvh hate, and people stating their problems. I dont believe there's an issue with the googan squad or their baits they are simply young entrepreneurs doing what they love to do.Here are just some of my thoughts and I enlighten on what I believe to be the truth about the googan squad and their baits. As lake fork guy, justin rackley says Mondo, hopefully this company will be blessed and become Mondo and help change the industry for the better. Let me know what you think in the comment section.

Just a few of my thoughts. Let me know what you think about the Googans, and if your going to get any of the new GOOGAN BAITS.
So much truth in so little time. You're right about a lot of stuff (from what I've researched and heard in interviews). The Googans (mostly LFG) got me into watching fishing videos (and UA-cam in general) and they also inspired me to create videos. Fishing, Camping and White Water Canoeing Vlog style videos.
I did buy a few of their baits (hard to get in Canada), but haven't used them yet (Bass season opens tomorrow).
I do feel that the purpose for creating those comparison videos, of different baits, was to just get more content/promotion for the baits. They have to self promote where ever they can.
Good video man, definitely paved the way for future YT fishermen.

This is a good video. Googan squad is a group of smart people and they know how to capitalize on opportunities. But the issue I’m seeing with this company is they used to be a group of normal feel good fishing channels which was awesome but now they’re making clickbait, cringe content that you see with a lot of those generic big name UA-camrs. Most of which barely have anything to do with fishing. And it’s starting to make the fishing industry and fishing UA-camrs get a bad rep.
Yep your exactly right. They have gone through their growing times on UA-cam and now they are in niches that get more views since they have grown. Jon b and lakeforkguy are really the only ones fishing still. I do you tube because it’s my creative outlet. I get the same amount of views as channels 5 times my size of subs and more and I don’t want any subs. It changes when you tube becomes your career it’s all about those views.
I congratulate anyone that has that special something that draws subscribers. The unique thing I like about the UA-cam fishing channels, are that they aren't so much a competition, but a community. As far as baits go, it's almost impossible to make a truly unique bait, and one can be just as effective as another, but anytime clever marketing works, I say go for it. Just think, for example, of all the commercial jingles we remember, even for products that no longer exist.
RWA Fishing you nailed that one. That is basically my thoughts as well. That's how products are made and sold. I remember the 80s and all of the jingles. There was a jingle for every commercial. Are you going to try the googans baits at some point?
At some point I'm sure I will, but right now I have too many soft plastics around, in boxes in the car, in boxes in the trunk, and in boxes at home. When I go into the fishing section in stores, I have to avert my eyes, and remind myself I don't need any more soft plastics, but you can never have too many rods and reels! Just like a woman can't have too many pairs of shoes.

Personally I think googan soft plastic baits suck, they tear easy. Not one bite at Amistad lake. Switches to Havoc and immediately caught a nice bass. Fish on guys.

I like the bandito bug. But your right they are soft. Packed with salt to use less plastic mix, charge the same price. I have one of those spinner baits in the blue fill color. Not many companies make a blue bill color spinner bait. Bandito bug and that spinner is probably the only bait I’ll buy

If you want some good advice on growing. Don't watch the numbers, just get better at trying to make quality videos and tell your story. Thanks, let me know when you get yours and fish with them I'd like to know what you think of them.
I never really got hyped on the googan train. Too expensive. I prefer more educational videos about fishing. They don't make the best videos or products. I do respect their work ethic and how they used modern times to become successful. But they sure do know how to rise in the ranks.
Yeah those are expensive baits. I stay to my Walmart and academy products. Alot of their baits are the same as other companies. I am right there with ya. Thanks bud
I agree with you that they started as fisherman. But that has made a sharp turn into the drinking nonstop game. And we all know the age group they target in younger ppl. Maybe go back to being role models and showing these kids what it’s all about again.

Ha that’s is so true. Spend some time organizing tackle and there is more than enough. Bags of plastics laying around all over the place, but you got to make videos repping your brand I guess.

The problem I have is some of the videos some of the members get caught fishing private ponds. Tresspassing and alot of people say these videos are good for getting the youth involved. Well I would rather have the youth not getting in trouble with the law. There was a fourm I read one of the members on that fourm had a son that got arrested for fishing private water. When he asked his son why? The son response 1rod did it in one of his videos. Then another video had a member wear a shock collar for a challenge? Wtf what happened to fishing just good ol fishing. We may get lucky that this bro fishing fad will pass us like a bad storm.
Yeah there is passion for fishing mixed in but they are also trying to do it for a living and the views subscribers can come into play. I fish to fish and I don’t fish illegal waters. My videos are for my kiddos too. Maybe someday I can do it as a full time thing but im just a passionate fisherman and love teaching what I’ve learned. Thanks bud
I feel like the googans have gone way down hill now they are all about drinking and showing them drinking and driving in there boat's. Not a very good role model if you ask me. I will never support them again.
Yeah as many videos as they have made you become numb to the goals I would think. They started as pure fisherman. To me its all about the fishing.
That's not all they are about now. Evidently if that's what you think then you haven't watched any of the guys videos in a long time. You probably just saw 1 video and went WOW THIS IS ALL THEY DO NOW IS VIDEO THEMSELVES DRINKING LET ME GO HATE ON THEM WHILE I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT
Really I have watched them for a long time and was a fan of them. But you know as well as I do many many kids watch there videos. And I have seen way more then one video of them just drinking and driving boats or just drinking non stop. I don’t care what they do on there own time but when kids are watching you kinda need to be a role model for them and show them what’s right and wrong. Especially in today’s word. Have a great day

I'm so sorry, that content comment wasn't directed to you but to the Googans. I started with each of them several years ago when they were in the sub 5,000 subscribers. I like what you've put out and only sharing my opinion. They may make plastic baits but the pros catch them on everything . There are too many competitors in the market place, and I understand they are just trying to find their nitch and capitalize on their [sucker] fan base. I am a huge fan of LakeForkGuy and followed his journey as he's grown. BamaBass has stayed true and varied a little getting into aquarium.
Ha that's ok. You didn't hurt my feelings. I watch everybody and like to see everyones point of view on you tube. I do like what the googans have done by starting googans baits because the big companies are scared. I make lures and hope to make a company someday as well, thanks for clarifying. I'd still like to have you as a sub, but hopefully i can earn it.
