- Taken from the soundtrack, plays when the Hunter has engaged XCOM.
(Snuck the Warlock in there since I might as well use that image I downloaded on some video :v ) - Ігри
*his reaction to seeing me use his Sister's weapons is priceless*
His problem is being too used to being the HunTER,and not hunTED. :3
And the simplicity of fact that sometimes the craziest plan is the best one XD
"So... you brought a sword to a gun fight?"
"You can keep the sword. I'll just be over here with my rifle,"
"I can appreciate the art, but you're not gonna catch me with a sword,"
I really like how Hunter talks to XCOM. "You brought a sword to a gun fight?", I was like "YEAH, I KNOW RIGHT?". Even in the base he (...she?) sometimes talks casually. Humanity really is a part of them.
Here's hoping that some modder will make this a reality.
“This is my specialty.”
*misses*
“... I meant to do that...”
Best Chosen
I also like how the Hunter isn't afraid to talk shit to the Elders, both behind their backs and to their faces.
We missed out on Julian and the Hunter giving each other high-fives whenever they dished out sick burns on their slow-witted, fragile compatriots.
Also, we missed out on Julian and the Hunter snarking at each other.
"Really, is there any point in living after an injury like that?"
"Yes, you've put a minor dent in my chassis and scratched my paint job. Truly, a fate worse than death."
"Oh right, I was aiming at the robot, wasn't I? If anything, I'd say I improved your look. Lime green paint...is that a smily face pattern? Really?"
"Behold, the Commander's fashion sense."
"That was his idea? HA!"
Do you hear that?
That's the sound of a squad-load of bleeding out timers.
"What EXACTLY were you aiming at?"
Me to all my missed 90% shots
@@aeureus once one of my guys missed a 90% shot and where i put my squad there was an explosive. You can imagine what happened next
@@mariqnpetkov1714 Because of that miss, I lost 2 squad mates and was flanked with one bleeding out.
*Pained Noises*
@@mariqnpetkov1714 I once had a moment where the Hunter and two other enemies were all taking cover inside a bus....and one of my soldiers was a Reaper with Remote Start. Bus went "Boom" and took out both "minor" enemies and hurt the Hunter while also leaving the Hunter with no cover. The entire time I was thinking to myself: "Hunter really didn't think things through very well, did he?" Then I took out the Hunter with my next soldier. Probably my easiest Chosen kill ever. :P
@@gamester512 Trust, assassin gets so much more fun when she hides, claps your cheeks, then hides again.
"Ol' Reliable..."
*Missed!*
"She never fails me..."
*Missed!*
"Time's Up..."
*Missed!*
me to my soldiers when on that 90% shot.
So, whats the plan for today? Storm the fortress, kill the God like a mortal on his own turf, break for lunch! SOUNDS LIKE FUN!
Gotta love the hunter.
“I’m glad to see your at least feigning the attempt at saving your people” -Hunter’s famous last words before being blown up by a truck, claymore, and grenade simultaneously. Full health on Normal too.
"I hope you've got a good medic on your team"
Fighting him, I realized I brought the medic… forgot the medkit
You don’t need medics if your kill everything before taking damage
Honestly before this released i thought the hunter would defect to xcom due to the way he talked back at the elders
That would've been epic
Maybe it should've happened if you kept him alive for the final battle. In the final chamber, there would be any surviving Chosen, but the Hunter would say something about never really believing in the Elders before instantly switching sides.
@Shayminthedoctor Oo I like that idea. That any remaining Chosen would appear in the final mission but the Hunter would be the only one who goes "Lol fuck the Elders, yolo!" Heck, I find myself reluctant to kill him even now. I'm currently re-playing the game (once again), have killed the other two, but am actually keeping him alive on purpose because I find his banter entertaining. I don't want to silence him yet =P.
There is a Hunter Voice Pack on Workshop.
I wish there were epilogue scenes showing what happened to various factions at the end based on who's left alive... I can even imagine a few things.
-Warlock would assume command of ADVENT and lead whatever's left of it as some sort of brutal dictatorship against everyone else.
-She assumes command of the parts of ADVENT that doesn't want to fight under the Holy Inquisition of the Warlock and becomes a more moderate faction able to be reasoned with. Maybe she turns the ADVENT splinter she leads into a mercenary group. If the Warlock is dead, she takes over the entire ADVENT instead.
-Hunter either joins XCOM or goes back to the Reapers... Or he goes rogue and becomes this universe's equivalent of Fallout's Mysterious Stranger, randomly showing up in firefights and helping the weaker group just for the thrill.
See his eyes? His is a direct descendant of the elders. They can kill him as well as torture him with a single thought from their neural implants.
I remember when i fucked with ini files and made the chosen to spawn as regular squad leaders.
2nd retallition mission with 5 hunters...
They just BM-ed me every time i missed. It was at least a min pause after a miss and sayin' that i suck XD
Archonof Doom I want to watch that.
And I need to learn how to do that.
Roll Fizzlebeef Jesus 7 months after and you still wanna figure this out
@@heyjoji1954 I want to know too.
"Just look at this poor sap, all they ever wanted was to serve and fight for their commander, and look where it got them."
"At least now you understand what you're up against. I hope you come up with something better next time around."
"You just have to tell your troops it was a temporary setback, you wouldn't want them getting too demoralized."
"Did you really think you could sneak by me? Me?! I have to say I'm a bit insulted, I'll try not to take it out on your friend though."
"You had your shot, and I certainty can't blame you for taking it. But what would it say about me if I where to let you waltz right into my stronghold like that again? It wouldn't be pretty, so don't bother trying."
"It must be difficult losing a valued asset, a friend, and a compatriot all at once. Still, be honest, you've already lined up their replacement, haven't you?"
"Better clean that wound, wouldn't want to get infected now, would we?"
"Hows moral holding up? I cant imagine your troops appreciate being taken captive so often."
"You know when all is said and done, I'll actually be sad to see you go."
"You where amusing for a while, but now you are just boring me. What is it they say about all good thing? Oh yes, they die like everything else."
Jeeeeeeeezus he's a fucking savage with the line about lining up their replacement...
Tr0llShaman he's not wrong....... damn really didn't want to kill this guy
We really needed Spark-Julian to engage in some snark-to-snark combat with the Hunter!
"So far behind the lines you hide? At least that saves us from seeing your face!"
"Are you going to shoot back some time? Should we have called ahead and made a reservation?"
"All that power the Elders gave you, and all you excel at is losing!"
the hunter is a complete savage, and even trashes his own allies, he's basically like a bully from high school
-My ranger goes next to him and shoots him for critical damage.
-*_"You won't be able to do that again"_*
-Free action point for my hair trigger
-Another crit
-Mox uses combat proficency on the ranger
-Ded.
RNGesus giveth, RNGesus taketh away.
No the best thing would be
Spark shreds armor ranger moves next to hunter then rapid fires then gets inspired by psi op so they then shoot finally say the hunter survives and your stupid like me you ran your ranger right next to them meaning their next action boom bladestorm to the face they are dead
Now try that again with the mod that makes chosen immune to crits.
Right on schedule..... I appreciate that.
Savor the moment... 'cause it's looking like your last.
There's something about the Hunter's dialogue that makes me enjoy fighting him so much. I don't know whether it's his cocky attitude, freewheeling style of not really caring and killing for the thrill of it, or something else. He really just does his own thing, but he's pretty darn good at that thing he does: Killing.
Reaper: Shoots hunter at full health
Hunter: "Bet you cant do that again!"
Reaper: Loads next shot of Annihilate with a +4 superior expanded mag and AP rounds
I love this guy. He can stick around no matter how irritating he gets to fight. At least he has a sense of humour.
the hunter is a complete savage, and even trashes his own allies, he's basically like a bully from high school
“Now that wasn’t supposed to happen. Just as I was starting to like you. You’re the reason this world can’t have nice things.”
The lead Sharpshooter in my XCOM was designed after me.
So when he taunts me, like, "Where did you learn to shoot :u?" I was surprised that I started actually getting a little personal with fighting him.
My lead sharpshooter decided that the hunter and reapers could only talk but not walk
My main sharpshooter developed a bit of a rivalry with the Hunter. Pretty much turns into a sniper duel with grunts as a slideshow when both are on the battlefield. I'm surprised the Hunter kept showing his face on missions that sniper was on with how often the Hunter got sent packing back to his pillar via head or heart shots.
0:00 Ayo what warlock doing here?
Best Chosen, with the best battle theme.
Hunter my favourite chosen his theme is also so good.
I like this guy more than the assassin, because she always made me feel my squad was in danger or in disadvantage, however whenever this guy appeared I was like "Yeah, bring it", because I felt I could actually trade blows with him in equal terms.
I think his soundtrack does reflect that, whereas with the assassin it feels like your up against a storm (She had a ridiculous unfair advantage over the troops at the start) but certainly by the time you fight say the hunter your more on equal terms due to experience and new abilities. There's that degree of danger but at same time the fight feels more even. And I think the developers knew that as well.
Hunter: It wouldn't be sooo easy to talk crap to the elders and in their faces what about you, Julian?
Julian: Me? Okay, Let's think I'm sassy, I talk crap to shen, I think we should be a good team.
Hunter: Yeah. Ah look this poor sap should we-
Julian: Piss him of HELL YEAH!
Hunter: Then break for lunch sounds GOOD!
(I made this and I must say you gotta love these 2 or-)
Hunter and Julian: We'll blast you into Oblivion!
I know right!?
Hunter Rifle + Death from Above + over 100 aim from Covert Actions vs anything with less than 10 hp = DEATH TO ALL
my sharpshooter cleared the whole map in one turn with that, and something that gives you extra shots.
@@minhnguyen5888 The combo Darklance , Serial , Death from Above , getting at least +3 from break throughs , added with any type of munition you can stick (either Blue screen if you know there is a big concentration of bot enemies , or just talon rounds for crit everything and make EVEN more crit dmg ). And if you had mods , chance are you roll Executioner or other kind of habilities who give you extra aim or action refunds too.
Hunter using tracking shot + berserkers + some other guys: DEATH TO XCOM
How does over 150 aim sound (without counting the scope)
This sharpshooter used his Darklance, his Darkclaw, and Icarus Armor to singlehandedly kill every enemy on the map on the first turn, thus winning the mission
Well, almost singlehandedly, my hacker goddess had a 100% to get the refund squad action points bonus, so I planned accordingly. Combine the 2 on a defend the relay Guerrilla Ops Mission, and 1 turn victory
I hate to say it... but you missed *proceeds to shoot me in the face*
He said that to me once, and then missed against the same sniper that shot at him, then he complains about it being the wind lol
Why hello again, Jax-Hur. You're getting to be a right pain in my arse, you know that? I mean seriously, for a long-ranged combatant, you're disturbingly efficient in a medium-range encounter and your constantly ending your turn on Overwatch makes me rather paranoid about any form of movement, even if you keep claiming your missed shots were intentional. Have to admit though, love the gold-tinted armour.
Scryer he loves awesome in gold
Scryer in my current play through, I gave his Darklance to a far better sharpshooter who like cannot miss
Those violins are glorious
Try facing the Hunter with ABA AI tweaks (recently updated) and Chosen Ruler Reactions. He'll ensure you're gonna have a bad time.
This is a video worth 5AP.
“So how am I going to kill you, huh? Little short *ss.”
The hardest Chosen imo. Assassin can be easily countered by battle scanner/ scanning protocol. Warlock can be countered by mindshield. This guy just keeps nonstop critting and sending my soldiers into bleed out.
Hunter, Standing on the Roof of a Building, Blastshielded: "It'll take a lot more than that to take me down!"
Me, with a Rocket Launcher Heavy: "Interesting choice of words."
0:13-0:43 My favourite part of the soundtrack!
*Let's try a new angle*
Freaking difficult mini-boss, during the first battle I killed him temporarely looks liked that in epic movie about superheroes. I exploded near him tank with petrol, and used grenades.
Duskhound, you were always a pain in my ass. At least you made me laugh.
*misses*
Hunter: I meant to do that
Cant do it yourself? Just build a giant machine to do it for you
I remember when the hunter have duel with my sniper only my reaper help to keep on sight the hunter for my sniper that was so epic
Everytime he aims his rifle and says "she never fails me" he seems to always miss😂🤣
Reaper 1 gets Critical Shotgun blast, gets him down to 8 health.
Postal Dude (Reaper 2 with voice pack mod) has a 20% chance to hit the next shotgun blast due to disorient.
Hunter: “Bet you can’t do *that* again.”
Postal Dude crits for 10
Postal Dude: *Fuck You.*
10/10. I love WoTC
The soldier I always have as the Hunter's true rival? Nova from Starcraft. One sniper to another, but one's a hot blonde in a formfitting catsuit. XD
She seems more Assassin rival, she favors stealth over brutality like the Hunter and Warlock (Assassin is probably more brutal, but at least she stealths amd can't be OW).
I suppose it's what loadout your running on her (Nova: Covert Ops), she does have some powerful Psionics, not quite Warlock level though, Sniping capacity is near unparalleled, and, should you choose, the Shotgun/Sword isn't that bad either.
Base Nova, 75/25 between Hunter and Assassin, but differing loadouts obviously complicates things.
Hey, do you have the soundtrack of the undetected versions of the Chosen?
The music that plays when the Hunter in the Fog of War is sinister and soo good, T_T i want it!
ua-cam.com/video/6xyu7R9ox3g/v-deo.html
Much appreciated.
63Limar "This video is unavailable"
in my playthrough I never seen his attack animation, he's already dead the moment my ranger reached his sniping spot.
This fight was surprisingly easy. The only one that is really difficult IMO is the Assassin
Most of the chosen in base game aren't really dangerous unless there is other enemies to focus on in the field like sectopods and the like.
good thing that their traits are randomized each playthrough. Might be quite a bit tougher next time.
