Me with the Wrath of the Chosen mod and a few other mods that make chosen broken while playing Legend: I'm never going to financially recover from this.
@@LordSquirrelShow Add the Psi Ops mod to that and you'll have some real fuuun times. It basically adds mini-Chosen soldiers (like they're disciples of the Chosen) to the game that are like dark mirrior images of the three Resistance heroes. Like a Psionic Reaper with a Jetpack, an Advent Skirmisher with Shieldbearer abilities on top of Skirmisher abilities, and an Advent Templar with fast reflexes, return fire and bladestorm.
Despite the name, this isn't actually the Warlock's theme, it's a standard battle theme that can play in any combat scenario. None of the Chosen have their own themes in the UFO Defense soundtrack.
whick is even more curious is that in "xcom Chimera Squad" the necromancer does exactly the same sound as 0:01 when he summons spectral zombies, both the necromancer and the Warlock have the "spectral zombie" ability
Been using this track when I got into starfinder lately. The entire ost in the legacy pack is perfect for starfinder ruleset. Especially once players finished a session mission I play the mission accomplished advent burger mix.
I love fighting this guy. He kicked my ass on the first retalitation mission, then the second time where he delayed me so much all the civvies got killed. Then I finally found a good approach and kicked his ass. When he dared show up in a regular mission he got instantly executed by a reaper. Hasn't dared to show up since. To the 5 Soldiers who sacrificed themselves for unarmed civvies.
Yeah, it is not that the music in Xcom 2 is not badly composed, but forgettable to me. At least EU and the retro UFO defense tracks have stand out beats.
nah EW and EU still have way more personality, this one is great but besides being ''heavy'' it ain't got nothing on eu complete ful feeling complexity
Will I haven't played much with the UFO defence music yet I have to say it hasn't really impressed me, and I'm using the EU music because I really like some of those themes. That being said this song is pretty good.
Once I saw I could play with EU's ost in xcom 2, I forgot xcom 2 ost exists. Once I tried out UFO Defense ost, I forgot the soundtrack change option altogether.
Reminds me how I had a mission around his region and I was so excited for him to show up. Got my squad ready and waiting, but he stood up on me, I was so sad that mission 😭😭
I actually think hunter is the easiest. Just run up to him and rip his face, he literally can't do crap once he's found since he oftenly wastes his zip line. Warlock still has his shadow army panic button which buys him some time and can even gets troublesome in the wrong situation. Always leave him for last in a mission unless everything is entirely under control! :v
Raphael Carregari IDK why but whenever I get a Hunter, he almost always gets melee immunity. The Warlock is annoying, yes, but he himself can’t do much directly to you.
Yesterday I learned that his disruptor rifle always crits psionics. Cool, too bad I forgot to bring it along on the last mission. :v My hunter was immune to explosions, so it was a roflcopter.
Gable Prescott The Warlock is meant to be more of a battlefield disruptor, Summoning psionic enemies to distract you from the more lethal aliens (Like a Sectopod, for example) and teleporting his allies around. His "Activated" state (where the music changes from the ambient to engaged) doesn't even trigger until you either find him or all other hostile are down.
The strongest Chosen.. which also gets fully countered by one single item. Mindshield and he does *nothing*. Well, aside from summon in a few soldiers from time to time. Poor guy.
To be honest the Warlock was the easiest of the 3 for me, on all 4 playthroughs. If you have atleast one psi soldier with the psi field around them which blocks all incoming psi effects it's pretty easy to deal with him. But his OST is still great
in terms of dificulty , he is the easy one of them all , beside been an annoying prick without a psi with solace in case he use mind scorch or mind control. In terms of rewards , the rifle its really neat (4 neat mods , and the hability to always crit psi units) , but compared with the other 2 , its kinda lame and very situational (even thou , if you stick blue screen on this , it can chew on Gatekeepers easy if you manage to get hair triggers shoots).
Not gonna be cocky about these guys. Warlock is acutally the 2nd hardest imo. The hardest is for me the Assassin, very tricky to finish her without damage. The easiest is the Hunter, I mean you just keep moving to him, if you have mind shields its very easy, he cant to anything, never did something to me, except the tranq bullet and flash bang which dazes you. But the Assassin, in my first playthrough, she had many disguting abilities, like she gains armor if you miss her, or she is immune to explosives. Very hard in the early game. So to come to a point, I think the Warlock is actually a big threat, while the Hunter is too obvious and easy, but the Assassin is a real challenge. Very important: I never played harder than Normal. Soo this is all what I have experienced in normal mode.
