My guess is that they'll make it so if the box that creates the AOEs hits a wall, it stops making the AOEs. Maybe a *bit* of a damage nerf. Otherwise, they could end up neutering it and making it utter trash.
Now that they're done making dlc and a game (Armored Core VI) update to fix issues *should* be 2 weeks out. Maybe.

Of all the things I expected to get serious glowups in the DLC, Perfumer builds and combat shields were not one of them and yet here we are

My character name is Marie and i'm always looking to get summoned to fight invaders from 3pm to 8 pm east. The rest of the time i invade myself.
For anyone struggling on the final boss(not naming him to avoid spoilers) If you want to just be over with the fight, this ash of war can 3 shot him using certain builds you can find on yt lmao

Do what you want with the Ash of War, fromsoft. But please, pleeease don't mess with the wepon itself.
It's a fun build with endure and then just use the axe talisman with the others that works well with it.
Edit: the fight around the 14:00 mark just proves my point to how fun they are.
Some Dev tested it at a dummy from a distance, said yep it’s fine, and called it a day

I found rolling sparks 2 days ago and used it against the big hippo boss and did 24k damage and was like WTF, lmao this is gonna get nerfed for sure 😂😂😂
you can two tap the putrescent knight with the lightning perfume with minimal setup, and you can skip entire phases of the avatar fight with the fire one

I remember seeing a speed kill of Radahn using these weapons. The man didnt explain how Radahn died so fast, this video explained why. Even with the incoming nerfs for this weapon, I think its still going to be lethal because of the delayed hits it does, even the weapons in this DLC punish panic roll spams lol.

They are either gonna reduce the damage, make the attack not combo, or make it so the sparks can't be detonated early, and you must wait the few seconds. I can't imagine this remaining in game as it is

Man, I was thinking the perfumes probably need a buff in like tracking or damage, but if the devs are too zealous they may just nerf the perfumes now :(
I hope the damage of the ash is nerfed but to something still usable
I feel like if they made it to where a player can only receive damage from a maximum of one or 2 hits from the ash, it might fix the problem. I could also see the perfumer talisman getting a nerf to PvP damage if it doesn’t already have a PvP modifier.
@@derekgrubbs4754 This right here, it just needs a modifier like all the other damage increasing items, that would solve a lot of it. Also when free aiming, make anything that goes past the "ground" disappear instead of stop and explode.
The damage doesn't need nerfed, just the density of the explosions. They shouldn't be able to stack like that.

I really like these as actual weapons, the moveset is fun, you can chase people down, free aim, bait people in and all that fun stuff. It's really just a bonus on top that you have the one hit kill potential with the ash of war. I hope they don't nerf it into the ground because if you are smart you can easily avoid it. In invasions it's probably a little strong due to the over confident chasing people do but in arena it's fairly balanced vs a good player. Great counter for greatshield users.
Chase I think you'd enjoy the Horned Warriors Greatsword (curved greatsword), its aow is a pretty big aoe attack, also try the Poleblade of the Bud, its probably one of my favourite weapons in invasions right now
Chase! you should do a light roll bleed build with the beast claws , raging beast ash of war, and the lamenters mask to become a true beast! would be a horrifying Halloween build if you use mimic veil and then jump-scare people and claw them!

Chase check out the Impenetrable Thorns spell, it is beyond broken right now, capable of literally 3 shotting some bosses. Have fun with it before nerfs.

Yay for things not being properly playtested lol, a lot of the time that seems to be an abusable issue in games with multi-hit abilities that can go off from impacting on anything. Like oh wait thats all hits going off at once maybe we should change this? Naahhh
Seeing you one-shot two phantoms with over 1900 HP with like a half-second windup like genuinely makes me cry
This absolutely needs to be changed to only hit players once or get diminishing returns on successive hits on the same target. It might be ok in pve with the massive healthbars of bosses, but not in pvp. It's funny, but it's too much. Imagine a gank of these.
On another note, I'd love to see how the new talisman boosting free aimed shots from bows affects the damage of the golem arrows. In pve the damage increase felt quite substantial.
This weapon perfectly sums up From Soft and people that use colognes. Broken, Stinky, disgusting and superficial ❤

you should give the smithscript weaponry a chance especially since it seems to scale well with specifically faith beyond all else and thus actually make the flame art infusion kinda fun AND thematic and that also lets you work in whatever miracles you want while giving you more leeway on the stats for things like end to carry all of em at once even.
I love how diverse and incredible all these new locations look. That attack is stupid crazy right now. I saw 2 people melt Bale before he even had time to get to the 2nd phase. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. So many of these new toys are so powerful.
i've been using the Milady and Carian Striking shield combo, with the Shield Strike Ash, don't know how good it would be for invasions, but it's alot of fun in duels. Alot of combo and mix up potential. You should try it out sometime :)
I think that when the devs were making the DLC, they held a competition to see who could come up with the most unfair weapon.

they do, the ash of war carries the perfumes. its just a good swap right now to one shot someone, and I'm pretty sure the one shots aren't intended bc it only works on the two perfumes mentioned. its more of a bug; correct me if i'm wrong

ive wanted perfume as a weapon in the game since day 1 of release. i was so happy to find the firesparks bottle at the beginning. and then i kept up that joy throughout the whole dlc with each one i picked up.
fun fact, the perfume bottles have a special backstep attack while charging a heavy like curved swords do, I could see it actually being potentially useful.

Enough of the actually good weapons, now use Moonrithyll's Sword (Jk it's not so bad, you basically get impaling thrust with the follow up from the ash of war, which COULD be really powerful on a colossal but I'm not sure)

That's not a light at the end of the tunnel. It's a lightning perfume bottle. Replace the sparkle in their eye with Rolling Sparks. Essence of Electrocution.
They always try to double and triple team you because they have the advantage, so you get so many opportunities to kill them all at once.
honestly it's a really easy fix, the current issue is that all the sparks come out regardless of angle so all you need to do is make it so the subsequent sparks don't come out if they would interact with some sort of collision like a wall or floor
I’d love to see a perfumer cosplay build where you’re constantly switching between all the different bottles and aromatics. The problem: they all take pretty different stat requirements so idk if it’s even possible
