I have felt like HSG Fore was clearly the best with every release of both Everybody’s Golf and Clap Hanz Golf. Don’t know why they quit making these titles in their style, but if they ever went back - I’m in. Both titles carry different elements from Hot Shots Golf, but neither fully embody enough of what made the series iconic. Characters were more unique and animated in persona/design, the soundtracks were amazing (not that they’re bad now, they just don’t compete), the classic swing meter just can’t be beaten and it should be an option in this game (as it’s a commodity) and ontop of all that, there was a great VS mode for unlocking characters and outfits. If this title had the classic meter swing mechanic thrown in, I’d be sold on diving fully into Clap Hanz like the old days. I was so excited when I saw this game for the first time because it is something of a spiritual successor to Hot Shots, but that swing mechanic is make or break for me. Combine the two games and throw in more classic animated personas with some good BGM (because silence and calm music is more of a real life thing for golf - less so on the music, but I feel they’re attempting to fill silence with the least prominent sound they can and they shouldn’t because it’s a game and we know that going in) and add it a few mode tweaks here and there and you’d have a true sequel to Hot Shots. After HSG: Out of Bounds, I feel like a lot changed and it was something different - like a Hot Shots spin-off series or something. They’re good games, I’m not bashing them, I’m just pointing out an observation that hopefully enough of us will bring to the developers attention through things like this in an attempt to make it the best it can be. As far as opinions go, which is more like Hot Shots? I don’t know.
I’ve played Hot Shots golf back on the PSP as well as been streaming Everybody’s Golf online before it shuts down. I’m not sure how I’d feel with the “Power Gauge” being changed now to determine the power of each shot. I thoroughly enjoyed the small bar on the bottom of the screen that it used to be.
This game has two control methods. Stick shot which I was playing in this video. And there's also Triple Tap which has a right bar to control the shot power and a small bar on the bottom for accuracy. I assume it's the control scheme you're talking about.
@@HandheldPlayers I believe the triple tap is what was typically standard in the older games. I guess they just moved the bar to a different location. And I believe for ball spin/control you normally just tapped a directional button along with on your 2nd and/or 3rd tap for the power meter and the point of contact with the ball would show in the lower right corner of the screen.
Didn't know Clap Hanz made a new golf game. I love Everybody's Golf even though the one on PS4 was pretty bad, but I guess that was (mostly) because Sony tried to push it as a live service game. Hopefully this one is as good as EG on PS Vita.
Does anyone know the difference in max powers? The “regular” power bar goes to 100%. Then there is a red section (which is just above 100%) then a light blue section above the red. Presumably these give more than 100%, but I see no change in actual distance of drive and it even says “100%” in red or light blue after you hit. So what’s the point? I’ve unlocked my 12th character, and it’s still nearly impossible to reach any par 5’s in 2 (for an eagle putt), which is fine, but seems unusual based on hot shots fore and hot shots 5 (out of bounds) which I both loved. I feel like I’m missing something obvious in boosting power of my drives.
Someone needs to rip this ost. Wish I knew who composed it or where it all came from. Could be premade stuff they just purchased but several tracks are great.
Wow, I had no Idea that Clap Hanz made a golf game on Switch. IDK if that means they're done with sony,,, I know they're not a literal Sony company and they've always worked alongside them rather than for them but either way, regardless of the name change, this is great! I mean shit they've always had more than 1 name for their games anyways hahaha! The concept of every golfer playing 1 hole is odd but new so, IDK, Im gonna give it a shot. The hitting system also seems weird. Im wondering if they included many types of hitting like in HotShotsGolf6 especially. I'm assuming you can play modes where you just play as 1 golfer through 18 holes, but the main story mode similar to the normal HSG 'challenge' mode is where you gotta play like this? It's a cool new concept and once you unlock all 18 golfers (assuming there's 18 lol, maybe more?) and level them up etc, than it would be pretty cool. Anyway, fill me in Handheld Players if you can!
This is a very solid golf game from Clap Hanz, I had lots of fun playing it. You can play via the touchscreen or with two different button controls: stick or triple tap. In this video I played with stick controls. I believe triple tap is the control method used in previous golf games from Clap Hanz. From what I understand, you can only play with 9 different golfers at one course, at least in Tour Mode. I haven't played anymore since doing this video so I can't tell how the other modes are.
@@HandheldPlayers Ah ok, thanks for the explanation! I saw you were playing 9 hole courses, but, during the start of the video when the game does the intro to the story mode, it clearly says something about 'You are playing a golf game where you can only play 1 hole per golfer, now you must build a team of 18 golfers!" etc. So maybe you were just on the early rounds of 9 hole? That's how all the Clap Hanz games are, you do 9 hole rounds in the challenge and then 18 later! So it would make sense! But I'll have to find out for myself :) And yes, the traditional triple tap is what camelot and clap hanz golf games (Hot shots, Everybodys, and Mario golf games) have done. But in their last few games before this, they also added the circle shot, arrow shot, and the circle+gauge shot, etc. Some also being unlockable later, so I'm curious if these are also unlockable, would be a big plus!!! Anyway Ill shutup now haha thanks for your reply :)
Lol they have standards to not delist as opposed to square enix’s various daylife. But yeah this stuff shouldn’t be more than $5 if once in a mobile subscription service. What is the name of the mobile version? As that confuses things more than rpgolf with legends being on switch for a huge tax that makes kemco look generous.
Will you get your hands on Easy Come Easy Golf? Let me know in the comments!

I'll happily support Clap Hanz once they give me a native reworked PlayStation 5 physical release

I felt that the overall design of the 2017 edition of everybody's golf was far superior. Oh well.
I'm totally buying this. I love Everybody's Golf ⛳
Yes, you will love it!
Nice game....clap hanz come back! You think have steam version in future?
You think in the putt zone this game is too much easy than EG in the past?
love the stick shot swing idea giving you total control of your swing
Have another good game golf together with that....calling "tee time golf"

I'd say its as good as EG on PS Vita. In my opinion, it's the best golf game now on Switch!
@@HandheldPlayers better than mario golf switch? lol
@@ossiexx In my opinion yes! I didn't like Mario Golf at all, too much arcade for me. This game is more realistic.
This looks GREAT! I love golf games, especially Hot Shots Golf on PS3.
Yes, I enjoyed playing it!
This game comes from the same devs that made Hot Shots Golf btw.
Looks pretty fun.
@@SazZe.X Yep I got earlier this week and having loads of fun with it.
Is it possible to change the characters run sound? I hate it

This is in desperate need of 60fps!
Maybe a future update 🤔
Would be nice!
The Apple Arcade version has a 60 fps toggle, so I'd assume this'll get one eventually!
Apple Arcade only 60 fps bro.
I really hope this is just a spin-off and not a new direction they are taking. It would be cool if they made team golf a mode but not the whole game.
Someone needs to rip this ost.
Wish I knew who composed it or where it all came from. Could be premade stuff they just purchased but several tracks are great.
I just checked the credits. Composers are So Sato, Ryusuke Fujioka and Keisuke Ito. I hope this helps!
@@HandheldPlayers hey thanks! Big help
The fact that you can't pick a toon and stay with that toon is questionable to me?🤨
I'm going to get it . £17 odd UK.
Hey man! Is there online multiplayer here? I used to play Everybody’s Golf with mates on PS4 so keen to replicate that.
Hey James, yes, there is (25:33). You can match with random online players, or create/join a private room for/with online friends.
@@HandheldPlayers is there any sort of ranking/progression or tournaments online like the PS3 games?
@@golfboy7438 Sorry but I can't answer that as I haven't played it on PS3. There is an online mode to play with others but no online tournaments.
@@HandheldPlayers thankyou
