You can now but 27mhz FM CB with ctcss now President George 2 President Harrison 2 Ares II CRT7900 President Randy 3 Works really well on 27mhz FM mode Less unwanted stations as on UHF fm. Good video 👍 Rob P
Have used it years ago but have forgotten about it. Now with multiple users on the radio I will reinvestigate, especially the digital one which I did not know about. Thanks.
@@JebbreysJibberish It was Jeff we bought 6 radios all at the same time, it was great to use amongst 5 friends on the tracks with no others interfering
Great video brother! I'm new to the CB UHF world so this info is awesome. Easy to understand. Im still trying to get my ute CB to talk to my hand held. I need to find out if my Motorola is DCS or CTCSS. Thanks again bro.
I’ve got a Tait tm8100 as when I first adjusted I knew nothing about ctss. But sadly I can’t adjust it. But has to be done by a computer. As runs on between 450-530mhz. From 1 to 25 watts but I heared the ctss is differently as it’s currently programmed at uhf cb80
Not familiar with the 8100 exactly but it probably has the CTCSS tones and squelches programmed per channel. Taits are great radios but are a commercial design so they have a different use case when being designed.
CB Was a LOT better when it was 27 Mhz. All you needed was a great radio, a big linear and a total Alligator (all mouth no ears) attitude.....let the CB Wars begin (Again)

Great to hear. Thank you for the feedback!
Thanks JJ - very informative. I didn't know about ctcss or dcs! (My old 40 channel doesn't have it - I don't think - better investigate it!)
Yeah have a look because CTCSS has been around a long time so it might have that at least.
Today I learnt ... ty ... 🙂
Yes I have used CTCSS on a Uniden set, when we first changed over from the27meg am radios
Would have been a flash radio back then too!

That’s one of the reasons I went to HAM bands in the end because I could have some peace and quiet 🤣

I’ve got one when I pulled out of my commodore very simple easy to use not only discreet hiding away
Is it possible to use CTCSS and/or DCS on a repeater channel?
Yes it is, in commercial and HAM applications this is quite common.
Who is listening to the emergency channels?
