OMG! I was searching long back for this song. I love this very much when I first heard on the flag hoisting day on the fest of St. George, Edappally. Not sure if the eastern church still follows such a tradition today in Kerala.

for as it is not based on ethnicity, but purly based on language. We are mar thoma naranis ,the st thomas christians and our liturgical language is the christian dialect of aramaic, the east syriac. It is handover to us by our church father, our apostle St Thomas. The main thing in our syriac language is that we uses the most old version of pronunciation related back to our tadition to jews who was in our country during the period of solomon speaking aramaic. Hence due to the presence of jews, st thomas came to our land on AD 52 ,also persian language pahalwi also used at that time. The laguage known as assyrian or chaldean or east syriac you are using was changed from 14th centuary onwards from old pronunciation. The liturgical tones of language were also influenced by arabic .But for us it remain unchanged and we still uses the same exact tone of original language, since in our nation arabic could't influenced at all . Aso we uses that pre-14th centuary pronunciation, even though our mother tongue influenzed a little in vocal vibration of sound

@@rominproy458 Let me understand your logic. You are saying that the Syriac in the Middle East was influenced by Arabic and hence the current pronunciation is not correct. And you are saying that the Syriac pronunciation in Kerala was NOT AT ALL influenced by Malayalam or Tamil and remains pure. And Syro-Malabar, one of the most latinized eastern uniates within RC who were led by European Latin Rite Missionary Bishops (Jesuits, Carmelites and Dominicans) for 314 years all the way from Bishop Fransis Roz SJ (1599) till Bishop Charles Lavinge SJ (1913) were instructed in the purest form of Syriac and has well preserved the Syriac language and traditions in its purest form. Really ?
