the 4 inch cube means that you can have a robot being about 5" long if you really squeeze it in. Large servos can be used for speed control, you remove the potentiometer and replace it with some resistors. More information on this can be found on the robotwars101 forum.
would you be allowed to run a antweight off of an micro-controller such as an aurduino that's connect to a phone through wifi or Bluetooth to reduce costs a little
LOVE the video. Ive never made one, but am about to, two things, do all of those seriously fit in a 4x4 cube?? they look so big. Also, how do you use a servo board for a speed control? i have LOTS of servos.
Buy a kit for your first robot and learn off of it. To answer your question I need to know your wheel diameter. I use 250rpm motors with 3” wheels, this is slower than many other robots but I like slower speeds for my driving style.
AntweightRobots. I think my antweight which is in the latter design stages may be the first 6wd antweight. I think my potential entry may be one of the most powerful pushers ever seen being 6wd and all.
Just to point out, in the US the weight limit for Ants is 1lb, or approx. 450g. UK ants count as fairyweights here.
I think you mean flea weights but I could be wrong
@@rycorobotics747
Nope, they're called fairyweights. Fleaweights is 75g.
that means technically i can make a lego bot
@@glowytheglowbug
There's actually a class specifically for that.
Thanks for including the parts in the end!
It's mini robots fighting time
Cool, I'm making a Antweight robot
Nice!!!!!
This is SO SO SO COOL!!!! I totally want to make one of these!

That was good advice for the time, but I wouldn't recommend doing that now, proper motors and ESCs are really easy to get these days.
2:12 unlike splinter even without his own shell I'm still suprirsed that is still mobile.

Yes that's totally ok and a few people do it.

which type of servo control boards can you use.
look on our forum.. theres load of info there... www.robotwars101.org/forum/
i would really like to do this, but idk if there is any in NH
this is awesome!
what would be the typical RPM of a spinner type of antweight robot?
darragh hamilton 17000 (seriously)
make a vid explaining how to build one
Why does everyone always ask that
You should understand how hard those videos are to make
is it possible for u to sell some of those robots? not the spinning wheel of death ones though
What type of drive motor should I use on my Antweight and what RPM should it be? I want to build on but am lost on what to use...

Was there a prize for the winner
what weapons are best in 5 kg of robot
It depends on what your wanting a bot to do
@@rycorobotics747 thankyou for the quick response really appreciable 😂
Is antweight still going in 2015
+James Law Good question, as I'm up for it
+aqib2000 sorry missed the original comment, but yeah they're very much still around, check out robotwars101(dot)org/forum for info!
+AntweightRobots thanks!

where do you by the wheels
You can try some electronic stores like Maplin.
How much weight is an antweight in pounds?
In the UK, antweights are 150 grams. In the US, they are 1 pound.

To make a battlebot not as good as these but just get a RC car and armor it up and put weapons on and boooooom u got a battlebot
no.
a Battlebot that cant do a 0 degree turn will get fucked over by anything.
buying is not an option, its about learing to build..
Kira. Exactly. Im planning first for the antweight division. My first combat robot will be a 6wd pusherbot. Yes a 6 wheel drive antweight.
Kira disagree
