the best video, I waited for it and thank you for so much detail for those of us who are just starting, I hope you reach 1000 before the end of the year, greetings
@@DrumBotics We are another team, we will bring 4 of our 1.5kg robots and 4 500g robots. We are very excited to participate, I hope to fight hotline!!!
Looks great. Have you given thought to saving space, potentially weight and having less complexity by using a drone 4in1 esc for the drive and weapon? This is becoming more common in 1lb competitions in the USA
@@amka1097 For this version of Hotline I used a 450 mah 3S HV (13 volts) battery, but it was way too big as it never ran out of charge and could hold up to two matches with no charge. Now changed to a 380mah 3s battery as it's way lighter, yet it can still survive the full 3 minutes fighting. Hope that helped.
hey Im building My own sub 1lb robot, and i have brushless drive as well, and I was wondering are your ESCs bi-directional (letting your wheels spin back wards), and what Type of control link do you run, because Im gonna be running ELRS on an Edge tx radio, and I was wondering what your mixes are, if you use a similar just PWM style receiver.
@@SpacemanFPV1 Hi, So yes of course my esc's are bidirectional, as there is no other way for the robot to turn or go backwards. I use FS2A reciever with fs-i6 transmitter and not elrs so I can't help with that.
@@SpacemanFPV1 So in this version I used blheli-s esc's, but they are not bought with an installed bi directional programe. You have to program it with arduino and chose the biderectional option, as they all come in one directional. This option worked, but for my newer 4th version I have bought Am32 esc's already programed specially made for brushless drive's and that I hope will give me better driving.
@@DrumBotics wow such a quick reply! you're great man! I'm planning on building something similar to your Hotline, would it be possible to exchange a few messages with you for some advice?

@@Daniyoyo By saying plastic antweight you mean 454 grams or 150 grams? I mean my kit is mostly out of plastic, but the weapon has some steel teeth.
