Incredible, all thar tonnage...and it floats. An engineering marvel. They are taking over the waters. Stay safe everyone. 🌹⚓
Absolutely amazing footage Paul! You did a great job on this Sir 👍🏼♥️✋🏼😳😎💃
thank you, glad you liked the vid.
This is the one of the largest I have seen & you calmly imagine hard it must be to navigate in a port like Felixtone 👍 great video mate 😊
Good show, boys.
Now, give me my damn yacht back!
"Excuse me. I dropped my wallet inside one of those containers. Can I come aboard and look for it?"
Feel free, All Those Boxes Start to look The Same after the third one and is has about 20000more to look into
Yeah you sure can, hope your one year leave got approved
Wow, what a catch Paul! She is ENORMOUS!! And looked to be almost fully loaded too. Superb footage, and beautifully put together. Thank you for sharing. Phil 👍👍🇦🇺
i wasnt going to miss this one.it said confirmed for 6am and sunrise was 6:15am but luckily it was nearly 7am when she went so plenty of light.
good luck to her crews from Las Vegas 🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍👍👍✌
Damn that huge ship! Nice catch an MSC containers ship and, awesome video!!! 👍
Thank you for watching and glad you like the video.
I have lived in Canada for almost 40 years but I spent my summers in Felixstowe with my grandparents for about 10 years back in the 70's. I was last back in 2000 and actually got a ride on one of the tugs as my late uncle's friend was a tug captain. The container ships were big back then but now seem massive in comparison. I always enjoyed visiting Felixstowe and going to the pier, beach and Charlie mannings amusement park and brings back good childhood memories. Good video.
I used to work for MSC in the U.S.A. I'm very proud of their accomplishments.
Great Quality video
Excellent post. For us who love navigation, your images take us to the sea. Congratulations on the great video and success.
thank you for watching and glad you like it :)
Paul Hiett Hope you enjoy the viewing point ...always amazed at how many Felixstowe enthusiasts liked it ....excellent work here. But of course you managed to get afloat for this.
Guess I have a new ship to track, in place of Emma Maersk.
@@UKShipspottingRailFreightTVd
The ship departures/entry into Felixstowe are tremendous because you get the entire vantage point of the process.
my amazon order was probably in there at some point
LOOOOL😂😂😂
Maybe if it was free shipping
packages take the plane , big imports by ship like walmart or ikea
@@TheAbderaman thank god we don’t have poo Walmart in the U.K. 🇬🇧
Fantástic 👏👏👏👏
That tug at the end was like "WAIT" came here from the watching Ever Given being stuck in the Suez Canal
Me to 😂😂
It's absolutely mind blowing the scale of this ship.
Good
That is beautifully and insanely loaded
i have never been to europe physicaly but, thr eurotrack simulator game i do pass this port every day. enjoying ua video in AFRICA.

That is simply insane. What a ship!!
exlant.
I am harbor pilot also piloting this big ship in my country.
all the best for all seamen.
Lots of love and respect from India 🇮🇳... please tell your family a big "Hello" from India ♥️
I'm shock this ....no words....,
This is one of the reasons that I quit sailing after 42 years at sea. These monsters were getting bigger and bigger, the crew smaller and smaller, and we were getting older and older. As long as the ship got from A to B, the company ( that I worked for ) couldn't care less, If they could operate it from headquarters by remote, they would. Good riddance.
I'm sorry to hear that. For a real sailor, these large scale commercial enterprises are so far from sailing...I salute you. 🌹⚓
These container ships should be included on the list of “ THE WONDERS OF THE WORLD”!!! And loading them is an engineering and technological marvel!!!
Impressive!
"WOW!"
Obviously it must vary, but I wonder what the value (average) of her cargo would be, if fully laden? Loads is my guess.
Nice well made video Cheers
Thank you for watching.
The scariest thing is what horrors could be hidden in then those containers.
Great video of her mate. I was going to go drone it this afternoon but woke up to see it had already left.
That's a shame you didn't get her.times changed yesterday afternoon from 16:30 to 06:30 and the 6am.woke up at 04:45 and saw she was confirmed for 6am.
@@UKShipspottingRailFreightTV I'll get her next time. Hopefully. lol.

I'm great fan of this ship💗💗💗
Great video.
Have you thought about getting a drone for some aerial views?
It may be prohibited but, if legal, it could give some great views.
thank you, glad you liked it.Drones are a bit expensive but yes would be great for aerial views.
great success for MSC, ESL must learn from these.
وااو جميل جدا 😍
Lovely❤
If this thing ever turns turtle, there will be Reeboks floating from Arkangel to Valparaiso.
How do you even build something like this and keep its strength
Sweet jesus, biggest damn thing I've seen move...looks like from deckline above is made of lego blocks...bloody big ones tho 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great Thx :)
Amazinig
I pulled all these containers for 35 years im 54 years old now all were heavy.philly NY Balt Va NC DELA .
So how many container hold
@@juliuswilson5424 some containers ships can 1000 trailers i think NYK line has one of the biggest 1500 containers.Hey JW some ships only stopp on the west coast because of there size. The first containers was Sealand 35 feet and Seatrainfirst 40ft.
So that around60,000,000 to 90,000,000 pound or more that you was pulling
wow
MASHAALLAH....SUBHANALLAH....WHAT A SHIP....LOVE IT

God this M S C ship life long good safe life all people s .
proud to be part of her delivery crew
That thing is nothing short of a floating island!!!
Lumania hilton😂
Nice
Its sooooo Scary and it puts so much Respect
These gigantic machines can float and I can’t even swim :/
hahahaha you try and one day became you leran
How many of those containers will end up I the ocean?
12 containers on the deck multiplied by 2,40 m equals almost 30 meters plus the height of the nav bridge. Imagine how high it is that!
I sometimes have to unlock the top row of containers . Wen they Pull you up above the Containers you're more than 50 meters or 165 feet above the ground. Can get real windy up there but the view is spectacular.
Que Locura!
Hope to see the MSC Gulsun in the port of Zeebrugge one day!
In Antwerp he passed to say Hello
Wow
This is big ship 💯
The ABs steer that monster inside the Suez r the fucken legends.
MSC, didn't they used to be called Maffia Shipping Company? As the story goes the company was originally started up as a moneylaundering company for the Camorra.
They should race container ships; that would be my kind of sport.
Losing billions dollars and probably minimally affecting world economy for a race. Nah!
Wish vs mama 😂
would be one of the worlds slowest races lol
Imagine the slow motion instant replay. Don't blink!
@@manjunathdanavadi3573 wow, shut up.
Nice video, I was going to see it as I thought it was departing some point in the afternoon so when I woke up all 3 svitzer tugs were already there so I'm upset at that :(
thanks, glad you liked it.sorry you missed it.i know yesterday it said 16:30 then changed to 06:30 and then 6am.woke up to see confirmed 6am so went down.it was almost 7am when she did go.
I think I'm going in a bit to see ever gifted and maybe maersk mckinneymoller as well :)
Mighty China does it again. Awesome vid
Thank you, glad u liked the vid.
did china build the ship?
Wooow !!!
There should be a time difference between the nose and the back of the ship. Nose UTC 2+, back UTC 3+... Also MSC chairman Diego Aponte' s mother in law name is Gülsün. The name of the ship comes from there.
When crossing a time zone, yes.
The next tiny house craze...condos on container ship....want to stay somewhere no problem lol. instant real estate.
Imagine that crew who keeps watch at port (2persons on deck)
Imagine that crew of this "Giant" is about 30 person. I would not prefer to work there, but not another way.
@@saniaaleks12 it's a logistic nightmare
IT IS TRUE OCEAN GIANT!!! :)
Looks Like A Floating Rubik's Cube!!
Korea supposed to build 6 of these for Sweden. Total of 23000 containers could be loaded.
24 wide x 24 long x 10 up = 5760 ...how is it 23,000?
@@pritim2009 That's all 40 feet containers. 1 TEU = 20 feet container, So 2 TEU = 40 feet container. And what you see is just on deck. They can also add as same quantities to the Under deck.
@@jasonjeong3399 ah I see Thanks
I only hope there are no stowaways in those containers!
Let's not forget the tug boats.
No big ship moves without them.
Show me a video of it going down the side of the earth to Australia, that would be cool!
No port in Australia is big enough to handle this ship I'm afraid.
Your amazon delivery.
A quick google search, and it turns out that this behemoth can carry up to 23,756 containers! Let that sink in... (no pun intended)
tubilar111 or to put it another way if laid end to end 180 miles. Or the whole length of the M4
is that 20 ore 40 foods container
I counted the containers and found that there is approximately 6000 on this ship.
@@ShowCat1 That's 6000 ABOVE the deck.............
It would be nice to include a chart of the R. Orwell entrance to show the hard left these massive craft have to turn round Landguard when leaving.
River Orwell doesn't start until between trinity7 and Shotley marina but otherwise that's would be a good idea.
@@UKShipspottingRailFreightTV True, but Trinity7 doesn't google very well.
@@smacksman1 good point. I usually put Harwich Harbour or landguard point somewhere in my vids or in the description 🙂
I bet it has its own micro climate
My brother was 2. officer here. :)
Proud to member of msc
Great machine 👍. How many containers capacity in full load trip..?
I put TEU containers at the start of the video on top left corner.
Cool
Hard to see how a tug could exert enuf force , with one line , on a ship like this , to make any difference...Amazes me
Those ships use 3-4 tugs depending on the weather.
@@christophergarrard5210 Wonder what the rope diameter is...
Gary Johnson it’s about 15 cms for the tug line
@@christophergarrard5210 Didn't know it was quite that big! Like everything else associated with these mega ships....Thanks for the reply.

This is a monster 👾
a sad moment for merchant seamen. same compliment on this monster as one a tenth the size. thankfully there are few ports with cranes to facilitate them,
i was like, wow, england making so much product. then i saw the low waterline and description saying it's empties going to china. oh well, britain was the factory of the world for a few centuries. i guess it's only fair it's somebody else's turn now
Omg! It's has big as the planet. Amazin
The Tugboat scene towards the End shows the power needed to assist by leaving port. Out at sea the effect of Wind on this " Boxlike" Ship must be immense and costly on the fuel bill.
Thank you 😊
Yes sir!! Awesome to see that tug working it's ass off.....doing it's job..... and a great job at that!!
True, the sail area on the Ever Given is a major factor in how it ended up blocking the canal. Shear winds would create a massive amount of force abeam. Even so, the reason they build these ULCV's is that they are are significantly more efficient cost wise. Per container cost is much lower than ships with smaller capacities, with major cost savings in fuel consumption per TEU and also admin and personnel costs, since it takes almost the same crew to sail a ship with a 2000 TEU capacity as one with a 20000 TEU capacity. I think there must be a bigger crew, but with the loadout at 10 x the other, having a crew twice the size still saves a whole lot of money
@@tadpethtel8035 The trouble is: time and money. In early days reporting it had been talk about an " unexpected" Sandstorm, which are seasonal and common . For a Ship like the Ever Given Tugboats must me made mandatory. That's a cost those shippers want to avoid.
@@tadpethtel8035 are these ships fitted with bow and stern trust equipment that could be used while underway in a crosswind?
I need the container on the left at the bottom the red one ?
