This is exactly what was happening to me with my ex who is slowly coming around now, at least from today. And his coming around I think is directly connected to me admitting to the exact thing I did wrong. Stay strong brother. Give her time and space she wanted. Go no contact. Focus on ur growth and mental health. Take help from professional therapist or relationship coach. Spend time with ur family and friends who loves you, avoid talking about past. Its hard time. But hopefully we will come out stronger.

I just couldn’t put myself through that again so I broke it off because he’s not ready for a relationship with me or anyone . So time goes by and we’re talking again. People have issues and past traumas. They meet someone they like and never expected to have strong feelings for. Closeness scares them it gives them anxiety and fears. I used to be this person and didn’t know it. What helped me was security and consistency slowly I noticed that person was still around not leaving and it took me so long to finally be able to trust again.

@Mayra Chavez This is just my opinion and don't make a decision based off my opinion. I feel as though everyone deserves a second chance unless he cheated on you or abused you. Other than those two reasons there's no reason not to at least give him one more chance. If it doesn't work out the 2nd time you can just leave him again but this time for good.

The problem is that all of my exes are either Dismissive Avoidant or Fearful Avoidant attachment styles, pathological narcissists, or both- and the abject cruelty of the way they end the relationship is an absolute dealbreaker to my ever letting them into my life again, no matter how good the rest of it might have been or how sorry they may claim to be. My second problem with this type of coaching is that it constantly tells the discarded partner to suppress their own needs to express our justified hurt and anger at the way we were dumped; along with our justified demand for amends and reparations for harms done. Every one of your videos that I've listened to keeps telling the dumpee to shove that all under the rug, then when the ex comes back, "don't act mad at them because they might have a feeling they don't like and go away again." Um, what right does that person have to comfort or convenience after what they did? Why should it be considered normal for them not to have to suffer pain or face any consequences for their actions, and why should we not get to require that they make it right? It's been very useful listening to these and going No Contact, because as I've done so I've realized what I'm simply not going to put up with, and if getting an ex back means having to accept the treatment I got on their way out and act like it never happened, no ex is worth that.

Start thinking about applying some positive pressure to get him to play his hand. In the early stages of getting back together, doing something like this may not be a good idea, but since it seems like you and him have a strong emotional foundation, it might be time to apply some pressure. Whenever I go visited to her house it feels like shes pulling me away and I asked her if i have a chance and she said no and she said she dont love me anymore but I can feel it that there's still a chance or it's just my imagination.
I have you all beat with a story! My ex went to the extreme of putting a civil protection order on me to create distance to protect her heart I believe. In her petition to the court she twisted and lied about facts about us, and that was very uncharacteristic for her. She literally said "this man I dated a few times" lol We had an intimate relationship for almost a year! What does it mean when a woman literally tries to diminish the role you played in her life for that long? She wrote "we were just friends" "we're not that close" "out of respect for him I'd like to ask you for some space" Ironically one of the last things she told me when I was with her was "I think I'm falling in love with you" I moved into a condo within a mile of her, but not for that reason. The day I shared the excitement of my move via text she said she met someone special. "I love him" "we're very happy together" A month later I went to visit her with a small non romantic gift to just see where we stood as even friends, and she called the cops on me. The female cop advised her to put a temporary protection order on me like I was some kind of crazy stalker creep. It was never like that, it was humiliating and wrong, but she clearly has some mental issues. I have forgiven her and still care about her even if I'll never see her again. We were very good together, she called me over when she needed emotional support or intimacy. I really believed she was the one for me until she turned on me. I joke that she has a demonic Jezebel type spirit controlling her that attacked me. I am a strong Christian. I still pray that the truth will come out someday.

Hi Brad, There are two phases that you need to understand about being friends. #1. You can't be friends with your Ex --- when you haven't fully healed from the breakup because if you do not do active no contact and continue to reach out to your ex as a friend, you wouldn't be able to help for you to have an ulterior motive in getting your Ex back. Your Ex will notice this and might eventually go to reactance because your ex will see that you are still not over her. When you have done ANC and have regained emotional balance: #2. Being friends (AT THIS STAGE) with your Ex will help because it will help you to reach out with your Ex and be able to show your Ex how much you have changed.

I wish I’ve seen this a year ago. My ex and I were talking about getting back together. Our problems were resurfacing again before even making it official. I just couldn’t put myself through that again so I broke it off because he’s not ready for a relationship with me or anyone . So time goes by and we’re talking again. Come to find out he’s tells me he might be getting back with a girl he dated before me. Im confused and angry because he told me he wasn’t ready to be a relationship. It’s been over a year since this happened and watching this video gave me another perspective.

People have issues and past traumas. They meet someone they like and never expected to have strong feelings for. Closeness scares them it gives them anxiety and fears. I used to be this person and didn’t know it. What helped me was security and consistency slowly I noticed that person was still around not leaving and it took me so long to finally be able to trust again.

@Mayra Chavez This is just my opinion and don't make a decision based off my opinion. I feel as though everyone deserves a second chance unless he cheated on you or abused you. Other than those two reasons there's no reason not to at least give him one more chance. If it doesn't work out the 2nd time you can just leave him again but this time for good.

The hot-and-cold behavior is wider spectrum than Clay says about here. HaC behavior might be: ex hides themselves on chat from you after that shows themselves. Answers your DM one time, doesn't answer next time. Speaks about their feeling today and hides their feelings the next day. Keep distance in this month, gets closer innthe next month.

I'm afraid of being friend zoned forever even though it has never happened to me. I blocked him a couple days ago after crying and arguing with him bc of all the mixed signals. The problem is that all of my exes are either Dismissive Avoidant or Fearful Avoidant attachment styles, pathological narcissists, or both- and the abject cruelty of the way they end the relationship is an absolute dealbreaker to my ever letting them into my life again, no matter how good the rest of it might have been or how sorry they may claim to be. My second problem with this type of coaching is that it constantly tells the discarded partner to suppress their own needs to express our justified hurt and anger at the way we were dumped; along with our justified demand for amends and reparations for harms done. Every one of your videos that I've listened to keeps telling the dumpee to shove that all under the rug, then when the ex comes back, "don't act mad at them because they might have a feeling they don't like and go away again." Um, what right does that person have to comfort or convenience after what they did? Why should it be considered normal for them not to have to suffer pain or face any consequences for their actions, and why should we not get to require that they make it right? It's been very useful listening to these and going No Contact, because as I've done so I've realized what I'm simply not going to put up with, and if getting an ex back means having to accept the treatment I got on their way out and act like it never happened, no ex is worth that.

Start thinking about applying some positive pressure to get him to play his hand. In the early stages of getting back together, doing something like this may not be a good idea, but since it seems like you and him have a strong emotional foundation, it might be time to apply some pressure. I think mine is scared because he blocked me when we broke up and then 3 weeks later he unblocked me and then blocked me again. My ex broke up with me and I dont know the real reason. A few days after the break up. She visited me and I asked her what is the real reason then she just hugged me.

I have you all beat with a story! My ex went to the extreme of putting a civil protection order on me to create distance to protect her heart I believe. In her petition to the court she twisted and lied about facts about us, and that was very uncharacteristic for her. She literally said "this man I dated a few times" lol We had an intimate relationship for almost a year! What does it mean when a woman literally tries to diminish the role you played in her life for that long? She wrote "we were just friends" "we're not that close" "out of respect for him I'd like to ask you for some space"
Ironically one of the last things she told me when I was with her was "I think I'm falling in love with you" I moved into a condo within a mile of her, but not for that reason. The day I shared the excitement of my move via text she said she met someone special. "I love him" "we're very happy together" A month later I went to visit her with a small non romantic gift to just see where we stood as even friends, and she called the cops on me. The female cop advised her to put a temporary protection order on me like I was some kind of crazy stalker creep. It was never like that, it was humiliating and wrong, but she clearly has some mental issues. I have forgiven her and still care about her even if I'll never see her again. We were very good together, she called me over when she needed emotional support or intimacy. I really believed she was the one for me until she turned on me. I joke that she has a demonic Jezebel type spirit controlling her that attacked me. I am a strong Christian. I still pray that the truth will come out someday.

Hi Brad,
There are two phases that you need to understand about being friends.
#1. You can't be friends with your Ex --- when you haven't fully healed from the breakup because if you do not do active no contact and continue to reach out to your ex as a friend, you wouldn't be able to help for you to have an ulterior motive in getting your Ex back. Your Ex will notice this and might eventually go to reactance because your ex will see that you are still not over her.
When you have done ANC and have regained emotional balance:
#2. Being friends (AT THIS STAGE) with your Ex will help because it will help you to reach out with your Ex and be able to show your Ex how much you have changed.

I WAS totally blindsided , long , like really long story but I went to every extreme to make sure I helped her move from LA to MI and I loved seeing that side of the country and would love to live in California but that's besides the point , I loved her so much and after traveling the country on our way back it turned out to be my worst nightmare 😔💯
