There is just something about a 321, 317 or 319 at full chat that just makes me smile from ear to ear. Those EE motors wailing at the max is just so awesome. Thanks for posting 😀😀😀
Great video! I’ve been on 321s from every Great Eastern operator from NSE all the way through to Greater Anglia, it’ll definitely take some getting used to rocking up to Liverpool Street to head for my hometown of Chelmsford and not catching a 321.
It is the FCC neon livery - they were never repainted by Great Northern when they took over, they just replaced the FCC logos. When those units were then transferred to GA, the neon vinyls were removed, leaving the First purple base paint underneath.
Only 13 of the 117 321s built aren’t operated by Greater Anglia, 12 were converted to Class 320s and the 13th is 321448 the Renatus demonstrator which is in storage.....they also operate all 5 class 322s.
@@Cactus732 and the odds are that of those 13, all of them have operated on the GE at some point... Back in First Great Eastern time, during the C6X refurb programme, they often hired in odd Silverlink units to cover (and vice versa).
I hoping see 321s again when the lockdown will lifted up before 720s launches. I don’t mind of 720s would be good because similar from 345s except 720 have British Rail seats than 345 has tube seats.
Is a shame that the renatus 321s are leaving soon with the ex northern ones and the 322s being replaced with more 720s I think greater anglia should of kept the 321s they've already got rid of the 317s but I did get a first ride on the 321's they're alright and managed to get a first ride also on the 315s before they left
@@thetransporthub thank you, I apologise for using your footage previously without permission and when you sent strikes I did remove the videos and set them as unlisted.
The Class 321's are going to be converted into Hydrogen Trains under a programme called Breeze when they are replaced by Class 720 Aventra's by Greater Anglia
Tell you the story I had at Leeds station in UK (it short story) I was on platform 2 and I saw a class 321 broken down and platform three was off limits
Great video. I am going to miss these units when they're gone but such is progress.

Couldn't agree more!
321's have Brush motors.
317 and 319's have GEC motors.
Don’t forget 320s and 325s and the 322

Mine is the 319....
the class 321 is a cool train!
and i like greater anglia is well!
and even its old, its still a good train
it was built in 1988
and i was in the class 321 before!
Out of all of the Class 321 liveries, the NXEA/GA Green and Blue GE livery is my favourite.
Yep. The First Great Eastern refurb was fantastic. Inside and out. Really thorough job and brilliant colour scheme.
@@wurlyone4685 too bad it got taken down in late 2012
Gotta love the sound of the motors
yeah! 😍
Damn man the renatus units sound incredible at speed , I mean all 321s do but renatus ...damn!!
I love class 321 screaming
Still remember these in NSE Livery going beyond Northampton to Birmingham New street
Fantastic video, covering all the late liveries and plenty of 2141 scream. Good job on these absolutely brilliant units.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great Northern livery looks a lot like First Capital Connect

Great video mate. So many dusty bins for Great Anglia with 12 coaches long.

Is this 321 going replace to West Midlands or different
The ones on Northern have been moved to Greater Anglia.
@@DaveDVideoMaker but it's temporary, because the class 321s will be withdrawn soon by the end of next year

I just hope not all of them do, and some get transferred as electrical units, especially the renatus ones
