- COMPLETE & UTTER HELLFIRE... Its safe to say I have never seen so many 321's in such a short space of time, at such high speed, in my entire life!
Most of them in 12 car formation, screaming through at, at least the 90mph mark, most of them reaching 100!
The sound is amazing so turn it up & listen to those 321's howling! :)
Includes soo many different liveries 3x NXEA liveries, Great Eastern livery, Silverlink livery & a London Midland livery!!
:O
It was great!
PLEASE WATCH THE FULL VIDEO TAKEN HERE AT ROMFORD THIS DAY INCLUDING MORE PEAKS & 90's!

"woosh woosh wee wee" - class 321 2011
They have to go fast through Romford, or else the wheels get stolen ...
Probably the seats too
@@carnivorousvegan69you mean the swift freight train?
Great mix of first/second franchise liveries there.
First franchise (but Second gen) First Great Eastern (with the second franchise vinyl NXEA stripe that was added after National Express ditched 'one' and renamed as National Express East Anglia);
Full first franchise Silverlink livery (on a short term hired-in unit);
Second franchise 'one' livery (with later NXEA white stripe);
Second franchise full painted National Express white/silver livery (but all seemingly missing the vinyl 'connection' stripes);
Second franchise scaled back NXEA livery (plain white with blue doors);
Second franchise London Midland (another short term hired-in unit).
Definitely the biggest mix of liveries of this fleet ever operated together. You did well/got lucky to catch them all - particularly London Midland and 321446 - the only one ever to get the dreadful 'one' livery (which was done in vinyl over virgin fresh FGE paint straight out of C6X the days before 'one' launched).
Sad indictment of what an absolute clusterf@ National Express were, that they managed to generate 4 different liveries all themselves, within just one franchise term on East Anglia! 😂
1:41 that is the fastest train I've ever seen
I've seen a 350 at 113mph
@@MPDTransport Sorry to disappoint... But considering I sign 350s as a traction and work with them on a daily basis. They are digitally limited to 110mph with the large computer system they have onboard. No matter what, Even if you got out and pushed it is physically impossible to go 111 let alone 120.
Fastest i’ve ever seen was the heathrow express it went 110 mph
Fasted I saw was a class 180 at Huntingdon station 😊 I know it’s a express train but just the same as these 321s where they don’t stop
The fastest train I saw went 186mph
Never thought the 321's had this kind of speed in them!
luerexbob what are those trains smoking??
There's more in them. That's not the maximum limit through Romford.
Benjamin Taylor i wish i could go back to 2011
East anglia mainline gave them the distance to breathe
If I was on the platform edge as those went past, I would've probably fallen over XD
Surrey Train Films the class 321 could be a new police siren its so dam loud 😂😂
Lol
Well I experienced that yesterday
3:31 I love the London midland livery on the 321
London midland O.o
3:15 Super Fast!
1:39 my favourite
this is probably my favourite trainspotting video ever, i love the 321's so much its a shame there are barely any OO Gauge models.
Great Video Dude, National Express has over 80 Class 321's now that they have the majority of the Class 321/4's from the West Coast Main Line in addition to the Class 321/3's.
Dusties where always my favourite type of trains since i was around 4 or 5! Before the todays LM 321s / 319s
Great video! Proper hellfire BR EMUs howling through. Very nice!
Wow fast mate
bloody hell great XD
Ikr
Class 323: makes a noise when departing and arriving 🙂👍
Class 321: wakes people up in the middle of the night 🤨
Edit: why is there no people in the class 321??
first capital new gen should railway n stock
That's bc it's not in service stupid
Probably ecs move
The line speed is 90 for the Main (Up and Down) and 70 for the Electric. (Up and Down)
Josh Hamilton 90 and 70 what??
@@FuliCuddlesFangirl mph - he's talking linespeed.
321s can do 100mph, but the speed limit on that section is 90mph max (due to the overhead line). The GE only lifts to 100mph much further out.
Great sound. I was here yesterday waiting for NXEA towards London Liverpool Street when I saw you guys at 00:55.
I swear these trains go to harwich international shopping area
nice to see them at speed and not crawling for a change :)
You DuMB! They were always being at speed
5:05 The livery looks so good. To bad they got rid of it.
Especially where the units connect.
I'm just glad it lasted as long as it did
Matthew Jones 925 i know i always talk about Arriva Trains Wales but they have the best livery
I agree. It's now replaced by the red and white one
The track on the up fast sounds hellfire :P
1:39 he is not hanging about
WOW! Awesome thought these trains went bypass gone fast it is!!! 😮💖
The London Midland one (321411) was on hire for a time.
Also I don't think the speed limit is 100 through Romford but 90 seems more likely, especially for the noise coming of those 321's (even though they can EASILY reach 100!)
PoxyMoxon97 Greater Anglia more like Great morning even though its 9 PM
Tbf, 321s only just reach 100mph (rather than 'easily'). The Brush 2141TM motors are a little underpowered for their gearing...
@@wurlyone4685 you do make a good point tbf, apologies 😂
Love the EX silver link dude
Used to have so much variety of different liveries and colours; my favourite was the FGE one, although National Express should be just grey and white.
The NXEA livery 1:30 was also amazing too
Amazing
@365LANCE Exactly how I felt.
1:15 also my favroite
1:41 i have never seen a 321 go that fast that is even maybe going 110mph but al the 321's go 100mhp also i have never seen this many class 321's ever just like how you said at the start in my life.
The limit is only 90 mph through Romford and the 321s are limited to 100 mph. At this time NXEA had a ton of 321s, some were refurbed, some unrefurbed and some were cascaded from the WCML. Hence why they are in so many liveries in this vid.
@THAMESLINK319 It was like 1 every 3mins or so.
awesome stuff!
1:15 my favourite part
So is miņe
me too ;)
THE BREL CLASS 321 TRAIN IS A PERFECT UNIT FOR THIS LINE BECAUSE THEY CAN GO AT 90 MPH OR EVEN 100 MPH FOR A FASTER SPEED GOOD TRAIN FOR NATIONAL EXPRESS EAST ANGLIA
woah cool
Just as good as the Hst
@X2K9 On hire or not yet been re-painted into NXEA livery.
Nice :D
Wow that great
I never seen a train go so mad like that

The The London Midland 321 at 3:34 is on hire
Were they covering the usual class 90 trains?
WTF is the London Midland Doing on the NXEA Line WTF? 3:34
On hire whilst Near cl 321s refurbished
Congratulations your first
@rachaelmatt The london middle land units on hire
Wow there fast!
3:34
A LONDON MIDLAND TRAIN!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Nice
Did any actually stop?
Well he's only recording them passing
No none of them do as on the GEML line, Class 321's normally are put on to routes beyond Shenfield going country bound which then means the trains will only usually stop (from shenfield to london) Shenfield, Stratford and Liverpool Street. The only occasion where they may stop the trains at Romford would be if a class 321 is put onto the stopping service going from Shenfield and all the stations between there and Liverpool Street (which would never really happen) or if they have an agreement with TFLRail to take passengers from Romford to LST on the fast line which rarely happens and only usually happens when there may be a delay. This happens because Greater Anglia (the company who replace NXEA) gave away there rights to run trains between Shenfield and Liverpool street on the slow line for the upcoming Crossrail which will soon run from Shenfield to the other side of London, since doing that Greater Anglia only run a 'fast' service on the GEML line between Shenfield and LST and beyond Shenfield they operate the rest of the GEML line on their own.
What does LST stand For
London Liverpool Street.
You get class 321 services from Southend Victoria and Colchester Town stopping there
@rachaelmatt oh i see
Shame that these units are being retired, as they were going to be converted into Class 600 "Breeze" hydrogen units...
dem dusty bins tho!
Woah pretty fast man.. But..How long did it take to film this video?
I’ve never seen a class 321 with one Angila livery before
But there are a few that have that.
321446 was the only one to be painted into that livery
Then it went to NXEA livery, then to Renatus, and now its been scrapped 😪
@@jackdaldry2839actually the last livery 321446 got repainted into was the demonstrator livery, not Renatus.
321301 - 321330 were the only units to receive the new renatus livery
At 0:14 sounds like the train is going to fast for it’s self
Did you know the train at 1:03 and 1:16 was a older painting of a London midland train aswell!
Its the Silverlink livery and yes I know. My family works for them ;)
Ok :)
That is still around wow
Ok the Video is from 2011
ME TOO:D
why did they not stop at the station and all go past
Not timetabled to.
Only one Southend service an hour and one Braintree service an hour stop at Romford and only during the off-peak.
All other trains on the mainline run fast through Romford.
@@wurlyone4685 braintree trains has never stopped at romford for 8 years, colchester town now stops at romford mostly.
@@dubby2201 yep, I wrote the wrong destination.
Point was there has always been a very limited number of mainline ('fast') trains that stop at RMF
the only irretating thin about 321,s is thet one head light is brighter than the other!!!
That's just how they run, british train running rules or some nonsense
There's only one headlight and it's on one side only.
Outside that there are then 2 white 'marker lights' (one each side) - these are dimmer than the headlight.
This is not unique to Class 321, its standard/normal for all trains in the UK, up to the very latest ones.
Why are these called Dusty Bins?
XxHyperSupraxX 3...2...1...
SupraGSX probably because they are dustbins
It's after an old TV game show Called "3-2-1". There was a character on the game show called "Dusty Bin".

Is it me or did I see Siverlink County, London Midland, First Great Eastern, One Anglia, National Express East Anglia and Abellio Greater Anglia liveries on the class 321s?
Until Early 2012, Many liveries on the 321s were very colourful, especially the Great Eastern one, and the one anglia one. Now it's just the bland Abellio and Black and white liveries
Here is my list of all the liveries carried by the class 321's over the years since introduction:
1. Network SouthEast
2. Silverlink County
3. First Great Eastern
4. First Capital Connect
5. London Midland
6. One Anglia
7. National Express East Anglia
8. Abellio Greater Anglia (White with red doors)
9. Abellio Greater Anglia (Renatus)
10. Eversholt Rail Group (321 488)
11. West Yorkshire PTE
12. Northern Rail (West Yorks PTE)
@@joelharris1335 there were actually 2 versions of the First Great Eastern livery:
The first was in effect an adaptation of NSE, with the FGE green/blue not running down to solebar and wrapping round the lower cab to the front - this was on all units post franchise award and pre Wolverton C6X; then the second version, where the FGE blue/green did run down to solebar at cab ends and wrap round the front - this was all GE units post Wolverton C6X and is the version you see in this video, albeit with the NXEA white vinyl stripe added)
And there are 2 versions of the National Express East Anglia livery: First version is the 'full' National Express livery, with blue doors and silver/white diagonal bodysides (complete with 'connections' stripe).
Second version was the simpler (cheaper!) blue doors and plain all white bodysides.
Also, being pedantic, but no.6 was 'one' Great Eastern, rather than 'one' Anglia ('one' Anglia was intercity and rural only)
Really!?
