I got a 2024 3 sedan in this color last week. Got the windows tinted a few days ago. It looks soooo nice! I never really thought much about steering wheels, but you’re right, the Mazda steering wheel is really nice and feels really good in your hands. My first Mazda and I couldn’t be happier! Thanks for the review!
✌🏻👍🏻✌🏻
Got the 2023 in white with red interior. Manual! In the USA. Daily driver and I smile every time I’m in it or just looking at it! So fun to drive even as a non turbo. I get compliments all the time. Skyactive G as no X in the US. Not for everyone but I like the infotainment system with CarPlay. Native one is not as user friendly. Just get one! My last Mazda 3 (2015) had 365k miles and still going strong. 2023 is much quieter. Piano no black at the center console is my only gripe. Please never again with that scratch magnet. It would be nice to have hydraulics for the hatch but really not necessary at this price point. Get one now! Get one now! You will love it!
They sell a Vinyl or plastic cover that’s like 20$ give or take on Amazon that specifically fit that annoying piano black so it’s avoidable
I own a 2022 manual Astina. It's a brilliant car. I think it has more than sufficient power - with excellent gearing for strong acceleration to overtake on a highway. At 80 km/h, drop it back to 3rd, nail the accelerator and it will complete the overtake with no gear change required until you pull back in (theoretically, 3rd can go past 150 km/h). It takes 5.1 seconds to accelerate from 80-120 km/h - nearly identical to an Audi A3 40 Turbo (S-line plus).
Roadholding is very good on the Bridgestone Turanza tyres (I've noticed that the Toyo's on some 3's have a lot less grip). Nevertheless, I'm considering upgrading to Michelin Pilot Sport's when the tyres need to be changed.
The Mazda 3 also has a strong reputation for cost effective motoring over the long haul. The engines are proven to last. The transmission is reliable. The body has a 6 year corrosion warranty.
Downsides? Back seats are too enclosed/cosy for anyone over 6', especially for headroom. (opening the sunroof blind makes it a bit brighter). CarPlay isn't wireless in mine. (This doesn't faze me, iPhones batteries drain quite quickly when navigating). The built-in sat-nav is ok, but it can be fiddly to enter an address.
Still available in the US with the manual for 2024.
I'm jealous
Upper trim levels only IIRC.
I just placed my order here in Ontario, Canada for a 2024 Sport GT in Snowflake Pearl White with a 6-speed manual, 2.5L N/A FWD. Super pumped to pick it up! Just sold my '15 3 GT sedan, 6-speed manual with 65,000 km.
How much?
@@aleesac5414 too much lol. Thankfully it's a lease for now until I can afford to buy it out in 4 years.
congrats!! I have the 2020 exact spec., and just put an order in on a 2024, Platinum Quartz metallic...you will love this car!! Great fuel economy, plenty of power, incredible interior, excellent handling, awesome BOSE 12 speaker system...,...checks all the boxes for me! I'm in Toronto...usually do leases...and, have always changed vehicles, and manufacturers at lease end....this car is just that good, that I'm happy to get right into another one. Enjoy your new ride! see ya on the 401. cheers!
@@peterslobodzian2116Hey Peter! Thanks for your message. You will LOVE it! Just make sure to get PPF (paint protection film) right away if you hate rock chips! Got my first rock chip on the hood at around 1,200km... :( ... so sad. Anyway, that 2020 you had was beautiful, and the 2024 will be gorgeous. You also may consider keeping it long-term as manuals are sadly going away...anyway, see you out there on the highways haha! Cheers
Hey Mike….yes, PPF, always job one on mew rides. Get 1/3 hood, full bumper, headlights, mirror caps and rear deck lid….glass tints as well!
I’ve never owned an automatic….always manual for me! So glad Mazda still has the option!
I love my 23 madza3 manual!! Easily my favorite car ive ever owned!
I have plans to pick one of these up in the next year or so... When I finish paying off my MX5 Roadster, and in addition to it, not a replacement.
Great daily driver and two car garage
Temporary space saver?
The manual was never available with anything other than the standard 191hp engine and FWD only. You can't get the turbo, or AWD with the manual.
And the manual only comes in one set-up, starting out at about $31,500 US.
Wild idea. Give us the manual AND turbo engine.
191hp is fine with that manual. We owned an '02 Protege5 hatchback with the 2.0L (148hp) five-speed. The current Mazda3 is only about 300lbs (give/take) heavier than that 2002. And I gotta tell you, that little car was quick, loved eating on-ramp corners and two lane country roads. It did ride a bit firm for longer trips but it was a great car, from mpg to performance and appearance.
I own now a '17 Mazda 2 manual in Soul red. My next car wil be a Mazda 3 SkyActiv X, Soul Red Manual. Best looking car in his class by far. And luckily no downsize engine. Greetings greetings from The Netherlands.
Very nice!
I’m on the highway a lot. Almost got a mx5 (love them!!!) but in the land of giant SUVs I felt safer in the 3.
Collect mine in ceramic with black leather in two weeks, i can't wait
Niceeeee
Who needs Emmanuelle nowadays.
Jokes aside. It was on my shortlist in 2019 along with the RF but i got a Hyundai i30 Fastback N instead.
The allround vision on the 3 just was not good. Now i got an i20 N-Line DCT, depending on how i get my fitness back thx to herniated discs and facet joints i might get an RF or just a SUV.
5:00 You do can touch the screen..i saw a video on UA-cam showing how..
I’m so confused, I’ve seen so many reviews of this 2023 version and they are all different, some have air events at the back for passengers some don’t , some have wireless charging some don’t , im so lost
Different markets different cars I suppose
Australian models have air vents at the back. US/UK models do not.
2023 and prior models in Australia do not have wireless charging. The new 2024 model has gained wireless charging.
Omg dude check the packages
4:35 You can order a carbon cover online
Gotta love the manual…
ナンバープレートがブラックだとカッコイイね❗️
It's true America get Mazda3 turbo but not in manual.
Auto only. It's a hatch version of the Mazda CX5 turbo
Ughh that sucks
Here in EU I own very rare 2022 2.0 litre skyactiv-x AWD 6 speed manual
이쁘네 벤츠 같아
7:06 The leg and head room isn't for everyone though...your height must be about 6ft max.
Yes you really need more power on the Pathetic 110km per hour top speed on Aus roads
LOL

platinum quartz

Torsion beam rear suspension is cheap, poor blind spot visibility and rear seating for taller folks is cramped and that rotary knob infotainment system is outdated consider their competitors offer touchscreen and wireless carplay/android auto. Stay away folks better options from Toyota and Honda respectfully...........
goo goo gaa gaa i need my ipad
The infotainment system is a positive not a negative lol
As someone who owns one... yes, I'd prefer multilink if it softened up the ride a bit. The blind spot is difficult, but the monitoring system is really good and it's a trade off for the excellent looks.
The rotary controller is so much easier to use on the move than a touchscreen. We also have a brand-new Sportage with the huge party-piece touchscreen, and it's so much harder to hit the correct button with the left hand while driving.
Interesting how you only made criticism.
If you've ever driven this you'd know that the rear suspension feels just as good as any. Handling is not effected due to the technology onboard.
The blindspot isn't a problem because there is a blindspot radar which displays on the dash and mirrors.
The rear seating is cramped for anyone near 6' yes, but this car isn't a people mover. the rear seating is best suited for kids. If you want more space go for a CX-30 or Mazda 6.
and yes the infotainment system has no touch input, mainly because of the style would make it impractical to touch the display.
Carplay and android Auto using a cable isn't true for all models as well.
If you want a car of this caliber at Toyota you're looking at spending 15-20% more from my research.
lmfao@@Ryukomytoy
Tiny glasshouse feels claustrophobic in the back seat. It is the ugliest small hatchback.
It is the nicest small hatchback.
Nope, it's reminiscent of older 323 D pillars... still it looks much better than any modern hatchback
You know this won 2020 World Car Design of the Year over the Porsche Taycan right…it’s the best looking new car for the money
It’s beeeuteefullllll!! ✌🏻✌🏻
Mazda 3 won car of the year in Canada in 2020 and best in class for 2021 and 2023 from AJAC, look it up.
