Ingenious uncoupling ramps. I'm just venturing into industrial railways and have 6 Hunslets and 6 Peckets and will need a spacious shunting layout for the them all and was wondering about the expense of uncoupling ramps and you have just come up with the answer. So amazingly simple. Thanks for this. ✨👍✨
No worries and glad you found it of help! Sadly can't tae credit for ramps, as they are my friends work (as that is his layout), however they certainly work a treat!
Great stuff, as always 👍 Always an inspiration too. I built a temporary inglenook in OO ages ago and now I’m trying it again in O. Also spotted a Warhammer carrier bag lol
Thanks ever so much! Glad you enjoyed it! Really was a fun weekend. Ohh, now that will be something in 0! Oh yes ;) My local model shop keeps giving me them. They always come in handy ;)
Callum, you and Adam have done some amazing work! I follow the small layout threads on RMWeb and Winter's End has inspired a load of Really Useful box layouts. Well done!
Thanks ever so much Jeff! Glad they layouts have been of interest! Think Adam is starting some topics on his micros too. Got a few more ideas myself for little layout like this ;)
Great Video Callum nice to see your layouts and Adams out and about. I am building a Shunting layout just like Adams would be interesting how to make the uncouples
A bit late for a comment, but binge watching over this chaos that is ensuing. The poser that will have people tearing there keyboards to pieces.... Layout or Diorama........... OK don't get mad, to me they are diorama's. Absolutely lovely ones at that, plus a tribute to the builders. But to me a layout is........ now there is the poser.... How big is a layout or small??? Now there is a question for all to discuss in the pub or club when this madness is over.
@@SDJR7F88 Looking forward to seeing those develop. I plan to go back over your Amiens series videos. Experimented with water for the first time yesterday :)
Bruce again just tested out your plastic strip uncouple the wagons on my shelf layout awesom idea as we say here in nz goodona mate kiwi as lol any ideas for doing snow affects whats a good product to use cheers bruce nz
Wonderful video Callum! You and Adam certainly worked very hard on the Warley MRC competition and can see why it won 😉 Great to see Winter's end and some of Adam's layouts as well :) Aren't you displaying Winter's End at Warley?
Thanks ever so much! Hope to see you there! Sadly Winters End is not there this year, but the Warley Challenge layout will be up for auction :) Let's hope it raises lots of money for a good cause.
He does 82a Studios. However, he doesn't film his model railways, just the real thing. I think he's had a change of plan since and is converting the colliery layout into something else

Adam certainly came up with a very clever method. Glad you enjoyed
Entertaining and informative. Love the use of Xmas tree boxes too. Well done to all!!
Thanks ever so much! Glad you enjoyed the micros! All great fun to build. The boxes are certainly very handy
I’d love to see more on the shunting puzzle
Thanks Richard. Will have to ask 82A Studios to exhibit the layout again at some point
Could you ask him for me which scale scenics kits he bought to make this please
Great Job guys , love your work !!
Many thanks indeed! Glad you like it!

Many thanks indeed! Glad you enjoyed it! Oh yes, had a few people ask about those. Will have to try and do a little video on them :)

Many thanks. It certainly is a highly debated question, to which I don't really have a proper answer myself.
@@SDJR7F88 No neither do I sadly.. But I think a great debate amongst the great fraternity of Railway modellers.. Be an interesting evening.
Oh, always wondered what an inglenook was, interesting idea!
Think someone said anything under 4ft X 2ft for a micro from what I heard. Oh yes, that's what it is, really is a fun little concept. Glad you enjoyed
Nice layouts Callum.
Many thanks mate! Got a few ideas for a couple of WW1 layouts this size ;)

Fingers crossed :)
Hi does Adam have his own UA-cam channel. I’d love to see how the colliery layout has developed?

@@SDJR7F88 Thanks for taking the time to reply.
I would really like to know how to make those uncouplers
Will have to give Adam an ask! Possibly a future tutorial :)
SDJR7F88 Yes, I’d like to know more about those uncoupler too. Thank you!
Many thanks! Will see what I can do!
@@SDJR7F88 Me too seems like a nice simple idea that works well . you could also paint them to make them blend in. Cheers Kev
@@medwaypeninsulaMR or even not paint them, so they are less noticable ?
😊
That 03 is preserved , at the Llangollen railway (My local railway)
Thanks for the info! So got to visit one day :)
I’d like to have a few micro layouts so I could have some kinda modular system or trains lol
Glad you like them! That's my plan at some point ;)
Интересно.
Many thabks
It big can a micro layout be before it's not considered a micro layout???
King Orry
I think any scale can have a micro layout. It might not be so micro when you reach 5 inch gauge but still...
@@jaydenholloway6710 I meant as in length and width, how big but dont worry its been answered
Would certainly love to see a 5 inch micro! :D

lol yes 😆
