I'm glad to find and watch this video. I have gone through several vacations and trips, receiving really mixed signals with myself why I couldn't enjoy them just like everybody else. However, whenever I am being left by my own, vacations only then become what they are, allowing me to be more in tune to enjoy the company of my vacation-mates. This video is very reflecting, and I'm thankful you made this video 😊
Wish I saw this before I went on a family vacation trip. Lol I was so frustrated on the trip and did not fully enjoy it. Now I know how to tackle this going forward.

I remember as a child my step-dad getting so angry with me on holiday because I would be in the holiday home doing a crossword puzzle and the rest of the family was outside. I had a ball, but he couldn't understand... Now I also understand it much better. Happy Friday

It is really hard being slightly different from others sometimes so I would say intentionally daydream when you feel overwhelmed and just tell anyone who's curious that you were "thinking about something" and when they ask what just pause, chuckle and say you forgot 😉👍💯✔
I will warn you that depending on the group they may put a spot light on you for a second and actually point put that you're in your own world. I would say to not take this personally because it may be just an attempt at humor McKay?
Nice video. As an introvert its not that I don't like traveling on vacations, it can be 'OK', its that my family and friends think vacations are supposed to be super fun and filled up with activities and they just don't get the average introvert's mentality when it comes to trips. I'm either crazy or I am deliberately trying to sabotage the trip by not having all the fun that they are. Explaining this multiple times over many years doesn't seem to do any good.
