I’ve never seen a plumber like you , always teaching to your crew and to your followers like me explaining us step by step keep it up and I hope one day I’ll find a Boss like you 👏🏻
Why would you put the circulator and zone bleeder behind the washer dryer? If you ever have to bleed out the zone you have to move the stackable. Should have put it on the right side.
always put a check valve on the circulator to an indirect, if you don't induced flow in either direction can overheat it beyond set temp and cause scalding risk. cause cool water on heating zones. it could cause relief valve discharge(they're at 212F,) if the boiler temp is high enough. an exception is a single zone system, zone valve setup or other flow checks in piping. but even then, gravity flow can occur in many cases of single zone and existing flow checks are likely bad, so back to most always install them.
@@PipeDoctor no I heard that, but it can still cause issues with the heating zones and pull heat back out of the indirect, in case of cold start boilers. unless there's zone valves. don't skimp!
❤ sure looks cleaner!!! But golly gee with out making it a spaghetti mess was their any way to mount the pump on the right side somewhere? I was just thinking about servicing the pump with out fighting with moving the dryer…🤷🏻♂️ Now don’t get me wrong here I am not condemning your install I was just Asking if their was room with out making it look like a spaghetti mess 🤷🏻♂️ ( seeing on a video and being their in person is 2 different prospectives) I trust your work but was not liking the pump position. (Edited fur a spell boo boo)
Hey Mike Diack, of Mikey Pipes Plumbing not easy being cheesy. I like your podcast/social media, looking thru some comments/chats/reply?? I guess some of your customers, family and friends still checking in on you. Hmm? Weil McLain 90 plus tankless boiler, I said, buy good old america know how. Love you buddy, you be safe out there.
No plywood (even 1x6) spanning the metal stud wall, that would keep me up at night. Not much to catch on to, but I'm not there...$50 savings, not sure about that. Nice install.
generally on steel studs, I go with toggle bolts or other type of t bar/wide spread opening fastener. short of that through bolt out the other side of wall and nylock nuts or thread locker. I used to hang old heavy tube tv's on mounts to steel stud walls. for larger units, we would put 2x4 down the whole face then mount into that and steel stud both or even clear through that the wall and put angle iron/second stud on the back side. even run it horizontal across if the top/bottom plate wasn't solid mounted to other structure.
anyone know if there is a gadget you can get that will allow you to know each time the a/c unit comes on and goes off, without sitting in your garage for 24 hours to manually keep track of run times ? i would like to be in my computer room and have this info available there. i think my unit is short cycling, but this gadget would help me verify it. thanks too all for any info you might provide !!
@@PipeDoctor definitely not lazy you put the circulator in a retarded spot being lazy is bragging about being done at 12:00 and burying a circ behind the drier ya dopey bastard

I guess you didn’t listen to what I was actually telling Daniel instead you’re just typing away. I did specify thermostatic mixing valve.

You don't do measurements to size the boiler?
Just curious why get the threader out? I thought yall mega press black iron? Either way threading is nicer and good job!
it's against code in some areas. he also mentioned budget job multiple times. 6 press fittings blows the piping budget away. lol

Thank God for shoe horns
Any idea how old the old unit was?
Isn't it against code to cover up an electrical box or junction?
Only if you pull a permit
Or you loose your everything you own if there is a fire.
yes, that should not have been covered up like that. at least it was a single wire/end of line entering that box and no through spliced wiring.

What happened to your hand ?
Do you work the New jersey area?
Mikey open the pod bay doors, Mikey open the pod bay doors, Mikey open the pod bay doors, lol.
If only Mikey had a remote control for those doors-talk about convenience! 😉
To bad you did not move the pump up, I know you said the same thing!
The poor bastard who has to change that circulator lol
Just have to slide the dryer forward a bit
Some are lazy like the @lan8262
