@@evomore8542 what I'm saying is a galleon Is way slower than a sloop and that behemoth is probably about the same speed so the sloop could run away but the galleon is a sitting duck

@@flap.d.jack247well that’s the point, they’re bigger ships but they also come with disadvantages like being slow to manoeuvre. That’s the price u pay for having 12 cannons on board

@@Veneri001if you exit out of this tall tale and go to load back into it, the checkpoint is when the pearl rises in the far North of the map. So technically yes you can spawn the pearl whenever you want

(For those unaware, it IS! It’s just not player spawned. You’ll have to take it from skeletons and Flameheart to win the vessel. Skeletons will help you crew the enormous ships. First iteration coming this year in 2024, Flameheart’s vessel. Go check out the sneak peak video the developers released! Also coming: walking on harpoon lines, world ziplines, double barreled pistol, portable harpoon gun, throwing knives, and more!)

@@swahinihas nothing to do with the servers not being able to handle more people. It's because there's no way to balance it, unless you were forced on a server only with other 8 man groups.

Honestly so far I'm the only one I've ever heard play it. So it must be rare. I wish I knew how many people got that commendation

@@roronoazoro99 I'll be honest it's been 3 years since I beat those and I havent played them since. But if I remember it IS hard but not grindy. So that made it achievable for me. I HATE grindfests

I know these are random and aren’t feasible but imagine these:
You could have a 6-8 man crew on a giant ship.
Right now the ships are made like a game of Overcooked: you are always one man short of being efficient. I would love if they had a big ship that could be sailed by 4 people but housed 6 then maybe one could be a cook and another in the crows nest or something. Just more RP opportunities.
Have a “fleet” battle of like 3v3 ships
Guilds have hideouts that could have secret entrances, be decorated, have defenses, could hold treasure (like a vault), and could be sieged.

I don't think big ships with larger crews would be enjoyable to sail, maybe as their own thing in safer seas.
But the other day i was thinking exactly about that guild hideout idea.
Guild hideouts that can be customized and played in sieges as a Tower defense/TDM mode (maybe even 24 vs 24) with matches that would count towards hourglass progression would be amazing and a breath of fresh air
(It would be somewhat problematic because of separate server instances posing the same arena problem, but this mode could scrap naval completely to reduce network issues)
Warframe has Dojos that are this exact concept (no sieges tho), Guild Hideouts could source from it
Bro those are all great ideas and if rare did took them on sea of thieves would probably be a number one game
Big ship would work as a separate event like add a arcade mode with different unique challenges and gamplay
Fleet battle would actually work ngl

i have been saying since they released this game that they need to add Man o War's to the game and have bigger crew size, I get they want to let the solo man be able to win in a fight, but at the same time I would also love to see giant battles take place. Arena was by far the way to do it and now that is gone. Hourglass is fun but way too sweaty.
They're working on one, though it will be world event. There be videos if you search.

Interested more in newer ship models but not types. Crew sizes are good as is I think. Make ship sizes the class and a different kind of ship cosmetic. Aka you take a large ship and choose between a galleon, or a frigate or whatever. It was give some visual spice to SOT

Ships like this would ruin the balance. A special mode where you could only face other crews on one of these would be fun but definitely not in the normal servers
@@McNuggie13 There ain’t no such thing as balance buddy. It is all about skill, tactics , experience and good fps and ping. And these ships wouldn’t affect that balance at all because it is just a bigger version of the galleon.
@@I_live_in_your_walls. Might genuinely be the stupidest thing I've ever read. Balance is when all of those things you mentioned equate to an even battle between players. Every game has a skill disparity between players, that doesn't have anything to do with balance. Any more than 4 people and a sloop would have absolutely no chance of sinking that ship, that's where the balance gets thrown out the window

At the last mission of the pirates life tall take called the lords of the sea this ship spawns at the end when you beat it. It's technically an island so it's indestructible unfortunately this isn't as useful as the guy makes it seem because it can't be turned and you ship has to be near it or it despawns
You know I gave up I'm not good and I can't learn because there is no where to do so and train
