The funny thing is they would consider me “thin” even though I am medically class II obese (a ton of non negotiable medications that cause weight gain + chronic autoimmune that makes exercise extremely difficult) all because I fit in us “standard” clothing (fyi 20 years ago if I was the same exact size I would not have found my size in stores due to vanity sizing), fit comfortably in all public seating including airplane seats without extensions, fluctuate between 190-220lbs (seriously that’s all from inflammation and water weight I can drop that overnite, still obese from just the remaining fat though), and do try watch what I eat and work with a dietitian.
It’s funny when you are considered “thin” even when fat because you don’t actually want to be fat. 😂

Lil, even obese people are "thin" to them. Literally. I have been many levels of obese, but because my stomach never grew a new bodypart called an "apron" (which is apparently a special organ only "truly fat" people have) I've apparently only ever been "thin" as ridiculous as that, because ive been fat since puberty. I thought the first video was so fucking funny for that reason. "How dare you talk about having low blood pressure!" like, when you are also angry at people discussing their blood pressure, yeah, you're fat as fuck and it's unhealthy. You know maybe we did need to, not pick on, but gently tease each other about fatness. Like do you guys ever just go into walmart, and wander around, and see the people in there? And adding onto what I said in comments above and below, on some fundamental level I also deeply resent the type of poisonous viper doing these videos and trying to spread it to pretty young Latinas that DO have an excellent chance at pinning down a fantastic husband and a wonderful life for themselves, because their bitter jealous asses can't handle it. Like, it's hard to describe, there's a certain level of personal disgust and revulsion I feel about seeing that. I say this, because mainly it is pizza dough folds just rising through the tube top and sweat pants of white girls, and mostly them. I mean I don't know what to say to you, if a guy walked in that store, and took his shirt off, and strutted around in front of me like he got a sixpack when he weighs 400lbs, everyone is going to openly laugh at him. It's gotten to the point of WhiteNice politeness and liberal spinelessness masquerading as permissiveness that no one wants to be the one to say, hey, you're not pretty anymore. And everyone's so fucking selfish it literally never even occurs to them to maybe try and bait a mate by giving them something in return, like a nice body which actually turns them on (and if they're remotely narcissistic like you, makes them happy you make them look good being with you) than actually embarrass whoever you're with that you have this massive gut falling to the floor, let alone have it occur to you, hey, maybe I need to be in shape so if and when I *do* have kids, my children have a great role model and I can feed my children healthily so they have a great shot at the world. Like it's just so incredibly narcissistic and self centered and I guarantee you every last one of these fat people has not once in their lives asked themselves how they are impacting others. Would it hurt their family if they die young. Are they inconveniencing the people around them sharing seats with them. Did they bathe enough to be pleasing company. Are they embarrassing others. Are they going to be able to stop their children from running into traffic. it's just such basic ass shit and not one of em does this, they all act like "hey, I'm beautiful, I am perfect just the weigh I am and gaining more of my beauty by the week, you should feel honoured to bask in my doughy glory."
All the seven deadly sins are sins because they are rooted in selfishness, and selfishness is always ultimately self destructive and fatal after a dirty, sad, lonely, miserable life that hurts the people around you. They're spoiled fucking children that can't wrap their head around the fact the world doesn't owe them anything and life isn't about them, it is about others.

It’s not just you. I’m lucky if i can eat two meals a day . I don’t eat processed junk or fast food , because that’s empty calories and expensive. (despite Americans saying it’s cheaper…how is 20$ of McDonald’s per meal cheap??)
i can rarely afford to “treat myself” with something food wise. I don’t buy any drinks , water only.
I only buy ground meat and milk basically and rice and beans and make the best of it as i can.
I would love the luxury of craving something and buying it . I would love the luxury of ordering food in. I would love to just go anywhere and eat out with a friend. I can’t and I’m skinny , it’s hard for me to get enough calories in and gain weight . I walk everywhere i don’t have a car. I drag home all my groceries in a cart. But yeah I’m the one who’s privileged.

Yeah, this is what makes me grind my teeth. I'm not in dire poverty, but I have had the electric shut off on me a few times. I eat two meals a day, and one is usually quite small. Then I hear these people whinge about how they couldn't fit in the booth at their regular breakfast spot, then had to walk past skinny person clothes to buy their 6XL sizes when they went clothes shopping later.
LIke... buying a t shirt is a BIG EVENT for me, and yet I'm the priviledged one?

    • @bananabread6148
      @bananabread6148 9 місяців тому +100

I've actually met entire families that are the product of generational poverty in which most people in the family are obese. There are multiple reasons why. 1st is that they qualify for insane amounts of money in food stamps. For a family of like 3 or 4, they get $700 a month.
Also, due to their level of poverty, they are literally stuck at home. They can't afford to do much of anything. Can't afford gas to go anywhere. Most of what they do have was given to them by others. (For example, video game consoles, drugs, alcohol).
Sadly, the worst part is that they rely on welfare and that puts them in a position where if they decided to seek employment, they would cease to recieve welfare benefits and they couldn't earn enough to sustain themselves compared to what they get in welfare. Many rely on benefits for medical care.
So, since being stuck at home is not much of a life, they get depressed and stir crazy, which causes turmoil and chaos in the family relationships. There is also a high level of drug and alcohol addiction because there are always people that will provide those vices. And their reclusive lifestyle leads to weird social quirks which make it hard to break out of the family structure and integrate into productive society. Although my friend and her brother managed to break the cycle

It's because they are jealous of people who are actively trying to better themselves. The fat people know they can't control their cravings and give in each and every time. If I did that, I would be fatter than a blob because I crave sweets and fatty foods every day but I actively tell myself no. It does get easier, though some days are more of a struggle than others but I also don't overeat because I'm emotional or stressed or anything like that. I actually starve myself when I get like that because I just lose all my appetite. I wish they realized they could advocate for plus size fashion without demanding we all accept them as healthy individuals. It would actually be a much better business model. Just show plus size flattering clothes. That's it. But no. They need to force feed this "acceptance" on the world.

The problem is that they’re not actually plus size, a bit a stomach, yeah. But it’s all down to the hourglass figure where the hips are bones and not just fat. They actually changed the size range to suit bigger women so actual plus size women can’t find a lot of clothes in their actual size anymore :/ that definitely needs to be changed

I cannot get a doctor to take me seriously! I need some medical direction here and my endo specialist literally said "well everybody would like to lose 10 lbs" but ok not everyone has all my risk factors and steadily climbing weight? it's exhausting because I am doing all the things and not seeing results. I lost a ton right away(slowing down a bit recently but still losing!) bc I was finally diagnosed with adhd and started taking meds which was LIFE CHANGING. I was able to stop eating out of boredom & bc of my oral fixation. after years of failed "attempts" to lose weight, I feel so proud and happy to be finally doing it. I definitely need to focus more on the exercising aspect, but I am getting a new puppy soon so I'll have something forcing me to be more active in the day-to-day lol.

I decided to lose weight because my existing knee injury was so painful it was preventing me from being happy. Losing that weight took me about a year and a half because I made careful choices and went at a pace that kept me healthy. My body was worthy then and it's worthy now. I'm not on bad terms with my physical self, that's why I take care of it with diet and exercise. My heart hurts for anyone who hates their body, it's a terrible relationship spiral to be stuck in. That being said, I did not lose weight because there was something wrong or ugly about me, I lost weight because I knew it would improve my life, and it did.
Just my 2 cents. This is what I mean when I say I practice body positivity.

I do not find it fatphobic to find obese people not attractive. But depending on how and in which context someone SHARES that, it can definetely be fatphobic, discriminating, insulting.
That is what in my view often gets overlooked when that discussion starts. It is perfectly fine to have a type, but i personally do not feel the need to post or comment what i find attractive, leave alone what i do NOT find attractive.
And we also do not have to pretend that all fat people do not do sports and even less that all thin people are sporty :D The lifestyles of two thin people can differ dramatically and couples with very different BMI can have a lot in common. Why seperate by weight and generalize about groups of people? That is basically what annoys many people.
