Beyond sounding like a cult. "You'll never fit in with the thins" sounds a lot like "You can't leave me because you'll never find someone else who loves you."
really shows how they're preying on rather than helping those who are insecure about themselves and have a low self esteem. the more i've learned about this group, the more it's clear that a lot of the big influencers (no pun intended) just want others to stay down on their level
The funny thing is they would consider me “thin” even though I am medically class II obese (a ton of non negotiable medications that cause weight gain + chronic autoimmune that makes exercise extremely difficult) all because I fit in us “standard” clothing (fyi 20 years ago if I was the same exact size I would not have found my size in stores due to vanity sizing), fit comfortably in all public seating including airplane seats without extensions, fluctuate between 190-220lbs (seriously that’s all from inflammation and water weight I can drop that overnite, still obese from just the remaining fat though), and do try watch what I eat and work with a dietitian. It’s funny when you are considered “thin” even when fat because you don’t actually want to be fat. 😂
Lil, even obese people are "thin" to them. Literally. I have been many levels of obese, but because my stomach never grew a new bodypart called an "apron" (which is apparently a special organ only "truly fat" people have) I've apparently only ever been "thin" as ridiculous as that, because ive been fat since puberty. (Except for a few months a few years ago)
if thin people are so privileged, then why has fat people NEVER been systematically oppressed (being insulted is not oppression), why have they never had an attempted genocide? why havent their righrs been taken away? etc? its infuriating. especially when fat has been the beauty standard before multiple times, especially when it was SEEN as a sign of fucking privilege because hou could afford to eat!
She's insecure and miserable. Instead of changing, she wants everyone else to fail like her. The miserable always strive to bring others down with them, it's pathetic. That's what she's all about. She'd rather everyone fail like her, then to live their best lives. That's just sick.
My best friend of 30 years stopped being my friend when I lost 150lbs. Nothing else about me changed except my body and relationship with food. She would constantly try to get me to binge eat with her or not workout, anytime I said no she said I was purposefully making her feel bad about herself. The conversation that ended our friendship had alot of the same talking points as this lady. She'll always be my friend in my heart and if she ever decides to get healthy I'll support her any way I can.
I love that she says when you start losing weight you get a taste of “power” and “privilege” and you start seeking it out more and more. No bestie, your brain and body are just feeling better and telling you to keep at it lmfao.
Even if it did give you a taste of power and privilege, why is that so bad? Why Are so many people on the Internet, acting as if power and privilege weren’t something anybody would kill to have? Why did they constantly want to be in this victim mentality?
@@spiralroseActual social justice movements, where being offended put you on the right side of history, like realizing segregation was busted, have created a climate where people just think that bring offended makes you a good person, and not being oppressed makes you a bad person, forgetting that being offended has no moral value, and that those horrible people being vicious to Black people for daring to sit at *their* lunch counter were Very Offended.

Not only that but it’s a stupid point too! Like does she think when you get down to an average size all the “thins” are going to look at you and be able to tell that you used to be fat, therefore go away?? 😂
When I was 25, I was 215lbs (5'9" woman), as soon as my Dr told me that I have diabetes on BOTH sides of my family history, along with heart disease and high blood pressure I got my ass my into gear and lost weight and now I'm at 158 and still losing and maintaining my weight. Best decision I ever made.
I thought the first video was so fucking funny for that reason. "How dare you talk about having low blood pressure!" like, when you are also angry at people discussing their blood pressure, yeah, you're fat as fuck and it's unhealthy. You know maybe we did need to, not pick on, but gently tease each other about fatness. Like do you guys ever just go into walmart, and wander around, and see the people in there? And adding onto what I said in comments above and below, on some fundamental level I also deeply resent the type of poisonous viper doing these videos and trying to spread it to pretty young Latinas that DO have an excellent chance at pinning down a fantastic husband and a wonderful life for themselves, because their bitter jealous asses can't handle it. Like, it's hard to describe, there's a certain level of personal disgust and revulsion I feel about seeing that. I say this, because mainly it is pizza dough folds just rising through the tube top and sweat pants of white girls, and mostly them. I mean I don't know what to say to you, if a guy walked in that store, and took his shirt off, and strutted around in front of me like he got a sixpack when he weighs 400lbs, everyone is going to openly laugh at him. It's gotten to the point of WhiteNice politeness and liberal spinelessness masquerading as permissiveness that no one wants to be the one to say, hey, you're not pretty anymore. And everyone's so fucking selfish it literally never even occurs to them to maybe try and bait a mate by giving them something in return, like a nice body which actually turns them on (and if they're remotely narcissistic like you, makes them happy you make them look good being with you) than actually embarrass whoever you're with that you have this massive gut falling to the floor, let alone have it occur to you, hey, maybe I need to be in shape so if and when I *do* have kids, my children have a great role model and I can feed my children healthily so they have a great shot at the world. Like it's just so incredibly narcissistic and self centered and I guarantee you every last one of these fat people has not once in their lives asked themselves how they are impacting others. Would it hurt their family if they die young. Are they inconveniencing the people around them sharing seats with them. Did they bathe enough to be pleasing company. Are they embarrassing others. Are they going to be able to stop their children from running into traffic. it's just such basic ass shit and not one of em does this, they all act like "hey, I'm beautiful, I am perfect just the weigh I am and gaining more of my beauty by the week, you should feel honoured to bask in my doughy glory." All the seven deadly sins are sins because they are rooted in selfishness, and selfishness is always ultimately self destructive and fatal after a dirty, sad, lonely, miserable life that hurts the people around you. They're spoiled fucking children that can't wrap their head around the fact the world doesn't owe them anything and life isn't about them, it is about others.
Cass Elliot is an icon, but not for being fat, for that amazing voice she had, and her beautiful soul. Also, she was trying to lose the weight and the yo yo dieting combined with the drug use wasn't helping her heart any more than her obesity was.
Exactly, being called a “fat icon” would probably be the last thing she wanted - considering she was nothing but the subject of “jokes” about how she looked constantly.
@@buckyyyb Yeah I was thinking the same thing. It's insulting that being such a wonderful artist and having worked hard for it, the only thing these people remember her for is being a "fAt iCOn".
Yes I love Mama Cass and I sort of agree that maybe if there hadn't been so much harsh judgement on her looks, she may have chosen to lose weight in a more gentle sensible way.
As someone who grew up in a cult where they were fond of anointing everything in "sanctified oil", I'd like to offer the suggestion of everything being anointed in frying oil in this scenario.
Cass Elliot was not a 'fierce fat'. She was extremely unhappy and lost a ton of weight on an intense crash diet which caused a lot of health problems. These health issues caused by the crash diet basically tanked her solo career (it effected her voice). Men she loved left her for 'skinny girls' and she was deeply insecure about her weight. Cass was an ICON 100%, but I sincerely doubt she would want to be referred to as a 'Fierce Fat Icon'.

I recently lost 13 kilogramms and people start noticing it. I'm still obese, but it's just the beginning for me. The problem is, that I can't hide it and suddenly everybody want to talk about it. I don't like to discuss my personal life, but it's obvious, that I'm on a diet.
Good job! Keep going! When i lost a bunch of weight and people asked me how, i would joke with them i went on a 3 month coke binge. They would be so shocked that when i said i was kidding and that it was just portion control and simple food swaps, they didnt want to talk about it. 😂😂

The alleged “advocates” sound like abusive partners. Tons of love bombing to gain your trust. Then they start to control you by policing all your choices. Shaming you for not doing what they want. When you do decide to leave they let you know that nobody else will love you. And the saddest part is the movement is “loving” people to death.

This is the same mentality as alcoholics and drug addicts. Why does she feel it is okay to shame people for trying to recover from an addiction? Would she do this to an alcoholic? Is she really okay with some one overdosing on Fentanyl? This person is sick and really needs mental help. She is advocating self harm, and they let her teach? That is some scary $h!t !

@boosqueezy2418 Oh man. That sounds rough. I don’t have any experience with addiction myself, but I am currently writing a paper on the subject (nursing studies), and what you say really echoes so many stories I’ve read from others who are deep into addiction. It’s sad for everyone involved. Props to you for getting through it and getting clean. Massive respect.
@@MissCaraMintas a former chronic anorexic, this is true. I used to feel as though people who were recovering had given up. I was so afraid to let go. Is it just me or is being obese a real privilege?? Can you imagine having so much access to food and your life doesn't REQUIRE you to be active enough to burn through the calories of all that food. I have never met someone is dire poverty or who is wondering where their next meal will come from who is obese.
It’s not just you. I’m lucky if i can eat two meals a day . I don’t eat processed junk or fast food , because that’s empty calories and expensive. (despite Americans saying it’s cheaper…how is 20$ of McDonald’s per meal cheap??) i can rarely afford to “treat myself” with something food wise. I don’t buy any drinks , water only. I only buy ground meat and milk basically and rice and beans and make the best of it as i can. I would love the luxury of craving something and buying it . I would love the luxury of ordering food in. I would love to just go anywhere and eat out with a friend. I can’t and I’m skinny , it’s hard for me to get enough calories in and gain weight . I walk everywhere i don’t have a car. I drag home all my groceries in a cart. But yeah I’m the one who’s privileged.
Yeah, this is what makes me grind my teeth. I'm not in dire poverty, but I have had the electric shut off on me a few times. I eat two meals a day, and one is usually quite small. Then I hear these people whinge about how they couldn't fit in the booth at their regular breakfast spot, then had to walk past skinny person clothes to buy their 6XL sizes when they went clothes shopping later. LIke... buying a t shirt is a BIG EVENT for me, and yet I'm the priviledged one?
I've actually met entire families that are the product of generational poverty in which most people in the family are obese. There are multiple reasons why. 1st is that they qualify for insane amounts of money in food stamps. For a family of like 3 or 4, they get $700 a month. Also, due to their level of poverty, they are literally stuck at home. They can't afford to do much of anything. Can't afford gas to go anywhere. Most of what they do have was given to them by others. (For example, video game consoles, drugs, alcohol). Sadly, the worst part is that they rely on welfare and that puts them in a position where if they decided to seek employment, they would cease to recieve welfare benefits and they couldn't earn enough to sustain themselves compared to what they get in welfare. Many rely on benefits for medical care. So, since being stuck at home is not much of a life, they get depressed and stir crazy, which causes turmoil and chaos in the family relationships. There is also a high level of drug and alcohol addiction because there are always people that will provide those vices. And their reclusive lifestyle leads to weird social quirks which make it hard to break out of the family structure and integrate into productive society. Although my friend and her brother managed to break the cycle

I think that in many Western countries only people with a lot of income can afford to hire other people who also live in their house and they either want to pay someone VERY little or they want someone very qualified
or that we have a flat stomach and can’t gain some weight no matter how much we eat …. “body” all bodies are bodys not just the bigger ones. we need to stop confusing body positivity for fat positivity. because not every body is fat
I have a horrible stretch marks and sag from years of bad periods - I'm fine with it now, I'm glad to see more people (women and men) enjoying the skin they are in, because bodies come in lots of shapes, sizes, colours, and bone structure. But I agree, body positivity and weird fat acceptance are two different things.
Thank you for pointing that out. Adjunct professor is a part-time teaching gig that doesn’t even necessarily require a PhD or expertise specifically in the coursework. It’s not anything to be ashamed of (I’ve been one), but leaving “adjunct” out of the description is deceptive and a sign of insecurity.
Best wishes on journey! I'm still working on my BED too. Most of family has health issues and are in denial that their diet is a big part of it. They think it's normal to get diabetes when you get "old" at 60 .😕
Also a recovering binge-eater who’s down 30+ lbs. The way these people glorify it is despicable, there’s nothing great about eating mindlessly until you feel sick (on top of other things you and others mentioned). I wish you the best on your journey - you got this!
I watched that Twin Flames documentary on Netflix and there was a scene where the cult members were instructed to write out a list of reasons why the group wasn't a cult. That is what this reminds me of...
It’s not about acceptance. It’s just being comfortable and confident in your body and also thriving to work on upgrading it. While also not walking around miserable and sad.
There's something important about Cass Elliot that most people forget about. Elliot was an alcoholic, and a Heroin addict. Her addictions were so severe to the point that she couldn't get out of the bed without injection and drinking. In her Autopsy, There was NO alcohol, and Heroin were found in her blood. However, her addictions Most likely caused her heart attack.
Fatty myocardial degeneration was the cause of death. For sure drugs and alcohol played a significant factor as well. All all super unhealthy lifestyle choices
@@oag2167 So her death wasn’t because of an OD. It doesn’t mean that drugs and alcohol didn’t contribute significantly to the deterioration of her heart
The irony of course being that body positivity movement doesn’t accept people.. they always say that small fats can’t ever understand the struggle and gatekeep/scrutinize If you’re actually fat enough
Hear hear. I’m diabetes phobic. I’m “toe cutting from diabetes” phobic. I’m “going blind from diabetes” phobic. I’ve seen that in my uncle and my great aunt. I will try my best to delay that from happening to me.
You selfish monster, with your power and privilege of things like being able to walk easily and have a body that feels great and where you can lift stuff and go up stairs! Murderer!
Not really fat phobic, not towards other people anyway, but these fat positive influencers who tell young kids they can be 600 lbs and healthy really try my patience!
Kind of weird that a lot of fat acceptance creators are “gatekeeping” the term body positivity. They want to send the message that you should love your body no matter what size you are, but when thinner people talk about being body positive it’s apparently offensive. I’m more so confused than upset tbh.
I'm not sure what there is to be confused about. They say "love your body no matter what" because it makes them sound like good people. They say that thin people are evil because that's what they actually believe.
Because they don’t want to give thin people any acceptance as they’re perceived as not having the right to complain. They say they wish to have all people love themselves and their flaws but don’t really mean it more so than they say it to come off as inclusive. That way if a thin but insecure person comes to the movement and gets insulted and gatekept, the fat person will have a gotcha moment and say that they always claimed to be accepting so it’s something wrong with the thin person not them. Lol.
What gets me is that the "Fat Acceptance" movement could do good in decoupling thinness with health, and thinness with moral purity, but it's easier to just blame society for being 300+ lbs.
@@vvitch-mist20 Exactly. Thin =/= healthy, and an alarming number of people will see a perfectly healthy body that isn't stick thin and accuse that person of being unhealthy, when the reality is that being thinner would be really bad for them. That's what we should have been working on, not trying to push acceptance for being so morbidly obese you won't make it until your mid thirties.
people will always be angry at you for trying to better yourself. Whether it is losing weight or getting a better job etc. when people see you winning and they aren't they get all up in arms about it. Jealousy comes in many forms.
I have had many large friends in my life and I never once was disgusted with them and I never fat shamed them. I seriously didn’t even see them as fat. A good friend is a good friend. These people have been brainwashed because I’m sure there are “thin” people in their life that love them. They just need to love their self now ❤
I remember when Cass Elliot passed away. Her sister said she had been on a diet and lost a considerable amount of weight quickly. Cass also was getting off drugs but her heart was already weakened that resulted in the heart attack. The ham sandwich people refer to that was on her nightstand wasn't even eaten. She has such a beautiful voice and pretty face and it was such a loss. I don't understand why obese, mostly women, need to shame others eating and dieting, I guess maybe it's the only thing she can control in her life. I feel sorry for them as they all seem very miserable. Great vid, Michelle.
It's because they are jealous of people who are actively trying to better themselves. The fat people know they can't control their cravings and give in each and every time. If I did that, I would be fatter than a blob because I crave sweets and fatty foods every day but I actively tell myself no. It does get easier, though some days are more of a struggle than others but I also don't overeat because I'm emotional or stressed or anything like that. I actually starve myself when I get like that because I just lose all my appetite. But these people just lack self control and because of that, they want to give in and want other people to accept that even though is disgusting and a burden on our healthcare system.
Was there even a sandwich involved? Because I heard that they made up food being involved at all to cover the fact she died of a heart attack and drug use.
Way back in the day I dated people who were bigger than me. They were unhealthy, ate poorly and resented how much I exercised. It was terrible. Even if I found them attractive our lifestyle just didn’t align and they made me feel so guilty for taking care of myself how I wanted. It taught me so much. Now happily married to my fit husband and we are happy as can be encouraging one another and cooking healthy meals together that actually include vegetables lmao.

Did I say you DO NOT see people in their 80's, over 250? No, I didn't say that, and you do see it. There are exceptions, of course. My point was, and is, it's extremely rare to see someone 80 and weighing 250 plus. There is a saying, "Misery loves company" and this is exactly that! Just cause these people are miserable (obviously), they want everyone else around them to be miserable, bringing them some sort of comfort. AND when people realize this "movement" is a cult and leave. They resort to gaslighting and shaming, just so they can try and keep the people leaving and get them to stay. Ahhhh! Yes! Well put. I also refer to these people as "crabs in the bucket". For any crab that tries to escape the bucket, a crab will pull them back in so they stay in the bucket with them.
Not allFat people are miserable. Thee people are just like this because that is their own personal problem. Why are we acting like skinny people having shown so many signs of mental health problems around their body weight. Especially when it comes to dieting, over exercising, under eating.

I can already tell if she was in a relationship she would be the abuser in this scenario. A emotionally manipulative, controlling person who will tell you how you'll never find anyone like her and that no one else would want you. It's sickening.
And this is why when I think of body positivity I think of Vanessa Cross from 1000 lb best friends. She says she's gorgeous but still knew she needed to fix herself and not only did it but kept encouraging her friends as well and we need more people like her showing that part of loving yourself also includes taking care of the body you love
Cults often isolate their members from friends and family on the outside, punish doubts or questions, and require inordinate sacrifices and money from followers
I dared to post that I was proud of losing 10 pounds because I put in the hard work and someone indirectly posted a complaint about how I was giving people unsolicited weight loss advice and then blocked me when I said something back. I'm not allowed to celebrate my weight loss, but they can freely celebrate their weight gain. Lol.
The irony of complaining of unsolicited weight loss advice and then giving unsolicited commentary about your achievements is astounding. Fuck em, start telling them the truth- they’re controlling of other peoples bodies and they think they’re the body police. Mind their damn business
I wish they realized they could advocate for plus size fashion without demanding we all accept them as healthy individuals. It would actually be a much better business model. Just show plus size flattering clothes. That's it. But no. They need to force feed this "acceptance" on the world.
The problem is that they’re not actually plus size, a bit a stomach, yeah. But it’s all down to the hourglass figure where the hips are bones and not just fat. They actually changed the size range to suit bigger women so actual plus size women can’t find a lot of clothes in their actual size anymore :/ that definitely needs to be changed

This sounds like what an abusive partner would say. "You can't leave because I and the several people i allow in your life are the only ones who accept you."
I have endometriosis (you showed my pics in one of your videos) and been struggling with my weight postpartum. I too just had a hysterectomy, and while on hormone meds I gained 16 lbs, pushing me into the overweight bmi category, I have a risk of type 2 diabetes because I had gestational diabetes. I cannot get a doctor to take me seriously! I need some medical direction here and my endo specialist literally said "well everybody would like to lose 10 lbs" but ok not everyone has all my risk factors and steadily climbing weight? it's exhausting because I am doing all the things and not seeing results. It's like salt in the wound that I am asking for help and being dismissed.
Hugs. The docs may not know. Unless they work with obesity or athletes docs really dont get much nutrition education. Find a dietician, in the US you have to have an degree to call yourself that, a nutritionist is a title anyone can use. See if they can help. Hope it goes well for you.
same. down 30lbs in the last 6 months. I lost a ton right away(slowing down a bit recently but still losing!) bc I was finally diagnosed with adhd and started taking meds which was LIFE CHANGING. I was able to stop eating out of boredom & bc of my oral fixation. after years of failed "attempts" to lose weight, I feel so proud and happy to be finally doing it. I definitely need to focus more on the exercising aspect, but I am getting a new puppy soon so I'll have something forcing me to be more active in the day-to-day lol. I definitely was close to falling into the fat acceptance rhetoric a few years ago and, funnily enough, I think what kinda saved me from it was stumbling upon the amberverse content lmao💀
Something that pisses me off about the fat acceptance community is they believing someone else needs their validation or consent to lose weight in order to not be called fat phobic. Like yes, some people lose weight cause that's what they want, what's your call here? 🙄
I decided to lose weight because my existing knee injury was so painful it was preventing me from being happy. Losing that weight took me about a year and a half because I made careful choices and went at a pace that kept me healthy. My body was worthy then and it's worthy now. I'm not on bad terms with my physical self, that's why I take care of it with diet and exercise. My heart hurts for anyone who hates their body, it's a terrible relationship spiral to be stuck in. That being said, I did not lose weight because there was something wrong or ugly about me, I lost weight because I knew it would improve my life, and it did. Just my 2 cents. This is what I mean when I say I practice body positivity.
This was so great! ❤😂 Love all the skits/edits! As a side note, I’m 5’11” with size 11 feet (hard to find clothes & shoes) so I think I should start making content about tall girl oppression and discouraging other “talls” from loping themselves off at the knees in order to gain short privilege. 🥴😂😂

it's not entirely untrue, I think I read about how she was crash dieting which led to even more stress on her heart. you know, she wouldn't have been crash dieting if she wasn't obese in the first place. she wanted to change but did so too late and too abruptly
These people know that if an influencer loses a massive amount of weight, it will be noticeable. Then their platform will cry "they hid their weight loss from us!" If someone is transparent or not about their weight loss, it will be noticeable and they will get kicked out and dragged out of the cult.
I do not find it fatphobic to find obese people not attractive. But depending on how and in which context someone SHARES that, it can definetely be fatphobic, discriminating, insulting. That is what in my view often gets overlooked when that discussion starts. It is perfectly fine to have a type, but i personally do not feel the need to post or comment what i find attractive, leave alone what i do NOT find attractive. And we also do not have to pretend that all fat people do not do sports and even less that all thin people are sporty :D The lifestyles of two thin people can differ dramatically and couples with very different BMI can have a lot in common. Why seperate by weight and generalize about groups of people? That is basically what annoys many people.

I love how they think everyone below 300 pounds is "thin".
We all know humans come in two sizes: Thin and obese.
Yes, and it is a matter of opinion. Absolutely not fact. 😆
i wonder where 299lb people ae classified under their chart 😭😭
It probably is a wake up call but she has some defense mechanism like denial to protect her identity, which she has based on being fat
I love that she says when you start losing weight you get a taste of “power” and “privilege” and you start seeking it out more and more.

Are they going to be able to stop their children from running into traffic. it's just such basic ass shit and not one of em does this, they all act like "hey, I'm beautiful, I am perfect just the weigh I am and gaining more of my beauty by the week, you should feel honoured to bask in my doughy glory."
All the seven deadly sins are sins because they are rooted in selfishness, and selfishness is always ultimately self destructive and fatal after a dirty, sad, lonely, miserable life that hurts the people around you.
Oh she would be amazing today. 😔
Exactly, I'm sure her opiate and cocaine use contributed to the heart attack as well. Sadly a lot of musicians died from drugs back in the 70's.

(despite Americans saying it’s cheaper…how is 20$ of McDonald’s per meal cheap??)
i can rarely afford to “treat myself” with something food wise.

What gets me is that the "Fat Acceptance" movement could do good in decoupling thinness with health, and thinness with moral purity, but it's easier to just blame society for being 300+ lbs.

Mama Cass had "a pretty face" 😂
I think that's you just trying to be nice. For everyone else, Google Mama Cass, or just the Mamas and the Papas.
@@TheBLGLI just did. Still hard agree that she was pretty. 🤷🏻♀️
Was there even a sandwich involved? Because I heard that they made up food being involved at all to cover the fact she died of a heart attack and drug use.
@@TheBLGLcan we see your face?
Way back in the day I dated people who were bigger than me. They were unhealthy, ate poorly and resented how much I exercised. It was terrible. Even if I found them attractive our lifestyle just didn’t align and they made me feel so guilty for taking care of myself how I wanted. It taught me so much. Now happily married to my fit husband and we are happy as can be encouraging one another and cooking healthy meals together that actually include vegetables lmao.
"STOP MAKING ME FACE FACTS! I DONT LIKE IT!" They might as well be screaming this at the top of their lungs when they say dumb shit like "I don't care if you drink water/go to the gym/your blood pressure is better!' Lord.
"I don't care if you drink water or your blood pressure is better." That's scary. They're clearly not thinking of when they hit their 50s or 60s.
I just want to say thank you for your videos!! You constantky calling out fat acceptance bs has pushed me furthrr to loose weight and now IVE LOST 22 POUNDS SINCE MID NOVEMBER!!
im finally bellow 200 pounds and am only going on stronger so again
Thank you Michelle!!
Cass Elliott would be 83 today. She was 5'5" and 250. Can someone point to all the 80 year olds 250 and above? You can count them on one hand.
Marlon Brando! Marlon was 80 before he died and he was 250.....*Reads that he was 300 pounds at the time of his death*
Nevermind!
Did I say you DO NOT see people in their 80's, over 250? No, I didn't say that, and you do see it. There are exceptions, of course. My point was, and is, it's extremely rare to see someone 80 and weighing 250 plus. For everyone 250 to 300 plus pounds in their 80's, there are literally dozens who died way before they should have.@@ElPerverto6
@@ElPerverto6i mean he gained weight later in life, he was fit when he was young, and fat positive people like in this video are.obese in their 20s so of course you won't find those living to their 80s in large numbers🤷
Yeah, it puts an immense strain on your body to carry that much extra weight around constantly. I’m 5’5” as well and 124, lifting 126 at the gym is hard enough but imagine doing that constantly.
Well, my Uncle Smitty was about 5'8 and close to 300. He got a little past 80 before he passed. I think he was 85 or 86. I guess we should give him a spiritual high 5. He's a rare one.😊
Oh my god the Starsan combo is gold 😂😂 Im howling. I love the both of you on your own, but combined is even better
She's so "fierce" she can't even deal with someone disagreeing with her and giving science based reasons for disagreeing so she preventively blocks them 😂😂😂😂

I‘m a skinny person. I go to the gym, swim, and dance weekly. My schedule is usually full of activity and I eat healthy. If I’m not attracted to a fat person who sits around and doesn’t manage their diet, that’s not fat phobic. It’s often fat girls that complain about in shape men not wanting them!
Actually I used to weigh 136kgs I met my husband he wanted me big time over any of the skinny girls that were at my 25 birthday party alot of guys love big girls big time new Zealand is a classic for loving big girls and to them a woman loosing weight is a big no no to them
I've heard too many out of shape fat men complain about thin fit girls not wanting them so this passes the vibe check lol
Are u sure about that, or do u just take laxatives and/ or thrôw up afťėr u èát.😂 let’s be real
@@well.826 Umm, maybe you do that but last time I checked, I do not have an eating disorder. Nice try at the skinny shaming but some of us are blessed genetically and use diet and exercise to stay that way.
Actually, there are many fit men that go for plus size girls. We also exercise and eat healthy. We just don’t look like you.
Cass also had a daughter who had to grow up without her mother. Your kids should be a great motivation to stay healthy.
Umm no you should only do it for yourself not anybody else including you kids
"You just had to keep digging, didn't ya" - ohhh the way I GAGGED 😂😂😂😂
There is a saying, "Misery loves company" and this is exactly that! Just cause these people are miserable (obviously), they want everyone else around them to be miserable, bringing them some sort of comfort. AND when people realize this "movement" is a cult and leave. They resort to gaslighting and shaming, just so they can try and keep the people leaving and get them to stay. Ahhhh! Yes! The TOXICITY is showing!
Michelle, your videos are a literal *experience!!* 😂😂🙌🏼
Also, LOVE the colab with starsan!! Never realized how well she can act!
And lastly, it's crazy how she says "nobody's mad at you for losing weight. They're mad at you for talking badly about the fat community"... When there are multiple examples of a celebrity losing weight without saying a word, and droves giving them so much flack about it 😂🤦🏻♀️
I can already tell if she was in a relationship she would be the abuser in this scenario. A emotionally manipulative, controlling person who will tell you how you'll never find anyone like her and that no one else would want you. It's sickening.
19:19 Oh my goodness, the skits in this video 😭
And this is why when I think of body positivity I think of Vanessa Cross from 1000 lb best friends. She says she's gorgeous but still knew she needed to fix herself and not only did it but kept encouraging her friends as well and we need more people like her showing that part of loving yourself also includes taking care of the body you love
Love you starsan !!! And I'm so happy it's a collab !!! Hope to see the two of you together more often !!! ❤
Cults often isolate their members from friends and family on the outside, punish doubts or questions, and require inordinate sacrifices and money from followers
I honestly don't know how you stay sane watching all this, I honestly can't stand hearing them talk, thank you for your service
Lol.
and what they’re doing is self harm
The irony of complaining of unsolicited weight loss advice and then giving unsolicited commentary about your achievements is astounding.
Fuck em, start telling them the truth- they’re controlling of other peoples bodies and they think they’re the body police. Mind their damn business
Well, congratulations from us here!
Big congrats on 10lb loss 🥇🏆
Celebrate away my friend…and I celebrate loudly with you!
OMG! Nice to see Starsan! ❤
I wish they realized they could advocate for plus size fashion without demanding we all accept them as healthy individuals. It would actually be a much better business model. Just show plus size flattering clothes. That's it. But no. They need to force feed this "acceptance" on the world.
Well they hate the word "flattering" and producing tent size clothing is expensive and harder than normal human sized clothes.
2:39 “Well I tired, and I can’t” 😂😂
Nothing says confidence like blocking people that may not agree with you

Love it when we get a Lady Starsan cameo - she's a treasure. The fact that the fat acceptance critique community uses humour, goofiness & actual authentic personality just makes fat activists look even more joyless & miserable.
People that are constantly look for validation instead of validating themselves.
That is exactly what this is! They keep the fat as an armor instead of healing themselves. Some people do drugs, some drink, some eat! There is no shame in healing and recovering. There is shame in pushing deadly habits on others.
Loved the editing in this video! And the topic was spot on. Very culty behavior 😬 yikes. Great video, Michelle!
Cult 101: when a person appears to be leaving the cult for the non-cult world, the cult leaders tell them "you will NEVER belong with those people. THEY will never love you like WE have loved you!" Way to go, Fat Prof., for just proving that YES, you behave exactly like a cult leader...
Love to see you and your “Fairy Fat Mother” having fun together! The intro was great, but seeing you two combine your powers like the Wonder Twins of Silly Sarcasm is even better! 💖
You know... With all the money these women seem to spend on things like manicures and likely high end makeup, they could *easily* afford delicious healthy foods that make them actually feel good beyond instant gratification.
It would acknowledging they have a problem they have to deal with. The sad thing is every day there is the possibility of a better future, but people like her won't believe and because they won't believe they won't do what's necessary to make it a reality. So they just drown in misery because that future doesn't anything of them today.
Definitely mot the same. healthy food is very expensive. We need to work on getting that changed. It’s ridiculous.
12:30 Aww love the Starsan cameos 💙
I do feel bad for these people. The original idea was body acceptance but not actually promoting being unhealthy. Now it’s just dividing people who look different from each other which is the same thing people who were bullying them were doing :(
Being fat when it first start, it ABSOLUTELY was about promoting fat bodies and shaming thin ones. Nothing has changed and I was there since the beginning. Not believing them but just watching them and what they say and finding it to be utterly ridiculous. They were always a joke. Back then and even more so now.
No need to feel bad for toxic people.
They shall be judged by the amount of suffering they cause.
It was actually about people who lost limbs before the GAAS movement took over. Body positivity had nothing to do with weight at the beginning.
@@wintermoon7003 no it wasn’t.. not the real one the whole original point of body positivity is ti stop bullying EVERYONE now everyone’s more divided trying to figure out who’s more oppressed than who

I don't and yet I'm still healthy big time water is very overrated I've never be able to drink water everyday that's been like that since I was born it makes me sick and it makes me sick for days

I'm skinny and healthy and have issues cleaning and wiping myself due to an unfixable broken beyond anything sternum bone and weak lungs
She can tell herself she’s a 10 until she believes it, but she can’t tell me she’s a 10 until I believe it
I mean considering that beauty is subjective and rating is completely arbitrary and ridiculous…

Nobody cares about men’s scale of grading women.
Labels are sh*t anyway. Personally, being told you're a number sounds to me more like you're being called cattle for slaughter.
This phrase is awesome, and I’m not even a supporter of the rating system lol.

It's so funny to me that these insecure idiots think blocking someone is going to prevent them from seeing their content in any way. They seem to forget that anyone can just make a secondary account that isn't blocked and see the content. Silly behavior to try and hide from critics.
If a doctor says you need to have your foot amputated, they're just promoting footphobia.
my question is....if you woke up tomorrow and decided to stop working out and join the fat positive community would she had the same energy for you? accuse you of abandoning the fitness community that built your platform?
13:12 the scream 💀💀💀
I struggled the last few years with the panini and heartbreak, before I knew it I had packed on ~50 lbs over those years.. “body positivity” did NOT help with all the cross messaging.. once I was dealing with chronic back pain & not feeling confident to date again I decided to make a big change. I started 75 hard last year which led me to quitting alcohol, eating better consistently and working out every day. I’m almost 30 lbs down and feeling better than ever. Now working on finding balance with my fitness routine (twice a day every day is a lot 75 hard folks) and had to say your videos helped so much the last few years. Keep doing what you do Michelle!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This sounds like what an abusive partner would say. "You can't leave because I and the several people i allow in your life are the only ones who accept you."
The bit at the beginning where she jumped on the Goombas and Bowser tho 😂😂😂😂😂
I'm eternally happy I never joined this group. I'm so happy on my weight loss journey. ❤
I’m happy for you! I wish you continuing happiness and success on your journey!
same. down 30lbs in the last 6 months.
Starsan is so fantastic! I love that she was in on this video. I need to find her on social media. 😂🥰
The cut to Dr. Now's face at 12:14 sent me! 😂😂😂😂😂
She's literally "Sour Grapes" if it was a person!

How do they come to the conclusion that not finding them attractive is phobic, do they even know what phobia means! Ridiculous people
These people know that if an influencer loses a massive amount of weight, it will be noticeable.
