Those “head-on” shots are your best . See a lot of BNSF power up that way. I was wondering about “outlawed” trains. Activating another trains rear marker, that’s something I didn’t see before, cool. Entertaining and informative, your the best. Good work WWOT. DPU alright!!
I remember Jaw Tooth was once confronted by a conductor, like he was doing some illegal, I use to do this but not with a movie camera and it was over in Hercules when the people were showing cameras at me like they didn't like my photo of trains, also was stopped 3 times by railroad cops even though I was over 10 ft from the tracks
I remember one night sitting by the tracks watching trains and got confronted 10 times by RICHMOND PD, SHERRIF, and Railroad cops just for being there, had a scanner inside my car so I could listen in, in Pinole Calif I was on a bridge and saw a female jogger who didn't like what I was doing and later found out she was off duty PD, she confronted me about why I was there. the park ranger told her off. She stopped bothering me but followed me home to my home. Later in the week, I was sitting by a track that was connected to the SF Richmond when a railfan came up jumped out, and ran across the tracks to take a pic of the AMTRAK going over the SP Line, only he nearly got killed as an ATSF was coming up the hill and nearly took him out.
a 2 grey day! you know everytime i see a double mid drag DPU i wonder if they had 2 trains come into the yard going to the same place and they just added one on to the other to save from paying another crew? i've seen cars with shocks before but they weren't big enough for mainline use they were in a go-co munitions plant and were used to move composition B explosive to the shell filling stations from the mixing plant! the markers battery must have been low that's when most need a reset!!
ChainsawN&W1218, so the Conductor was fixing the EOT/Freddy, I think 🤔 is what You were saying, I think that's when a train crews time runs out and they have to do a crew change, sometimes using the crew vans when in rural areas, great video. 👍

There sure are a lot of rusty hopper cars on the trains that roll through the Dunkirk area. Maybe the hopper cars are used on trains that skirt the Atlantic coast?. Noticed a Chessie box car on one of the CSX trains today. Like those surprise meets when you least expect them.
Comment on the Outlaw trains: All train lines have scheduled locations for crew changes. When a train is delayed, the crew gets at the legally allowed hours of operation. If tge train must continue, a crew change is scheduled and done. If the train can be "parked" it is and the crew allowed to rest.

Nice work wwot! You just seem to luckier by the day with these train meets man and that's great. I saw an NS intermodal today with an sd70acu and a heritage unit! Also there was a moron who went around the gates, but they were behind us so if they had waited another second or two, the car would have gotten crushed.
The end of train device has to be linked to the lead engine and armed in order to have the ability to put the train into emergency. A marker is what marks the tail end of the train, usually an EOT/SBU.

@Ollie CK The difference between a real Warbonnet and a fakebonnet is that real Warbonnets are the ones with the red “Santa Fe” on their sides while fakebonnets are the units with red “BNSF” on their sides. Yes, both of which do have the smaller BNSF patches on the cabs but I’m talking about on the body of the locomotives on the sides of them. Both Warbonnets and Fakebonnets are the same thing, but it’s a cosmetic difference that Railfans distinguish between them.
