  • Think the NFL rules about hitting quarterbacks are dumb? Well, at least they have rules now.
    In 1970, Ben Davidson hit Len Dawson after the QB had given himself up. The Raiders and Chiefs got into a fight, received offsetting penalties, and then the Chiefs had to replay the down. No penalty was called for the hit itself, and it ended up changing the course of the game, as well as who won the division.
