God forgave David for adultery and murder and blessed he and Bathsheba with Solomon.
And we are commanded not to use God's Grace as a license to sin. The reason Jesus said what He did about adultery was to slshow by tgis illustration that marriage is a Covenant and not based on feelings and not about you or us but about Christ. The Bible is all about Christ, not us!

So many of you people are judging Amy and Vince without knowing the whole story. You are assuming they had a physical affair, because you just can't believe they wouldn't be faithful to their spouses. This video was from 1994. Vince didn't divorce from Janis until 1997 and Amy and Gary divorced in mid-1999 (although they were in mediation for a year or so before that). Vince and Amy started dating each other in late 1999. During the period between Vince's 1993 Christmas special (that Amy first met him on) until they began dating after their divorces, they only time Amy and Vince were together was for professional reasons (House of Love album, TV specials, etc) There is no evidence at all that they spent ANY personal time together during that time. It's sad that this video is still uploaded, because it clearly shows the attraction between Amy and Vince. Even though their children are grown up and life has gone on, out of respect for their kids, I say take it down. You are seeing Gary looking happy with his wife and children then the next minute, his wife looking 'very friendly' with another man. No matter what your beliefs, it sends mixed messages and highlights that innocent children were caught up in this. I think Gary Chapman showed strength if character to carry on after all this, and he is a very gifted singer. Saw a recent interview with him, and he shared about the power of forgiveness. He has a genuine 'gift' with his voice.
Wow, so with your thinking, absolutely no video or picture of any couple who are not together can ever be shown again in any way because it's "insensitive"? Please. Last I heard, Gary was working on his third marriage, yet stated at Millie's wedding that everyone in the Grant/Gill/Chapman family was giving her away that day. Sounds like they buried the hatchet to me. Not that it's any of your concern. And for the record, the next time you get on your soapbox and point your Holier-Than-Thou finger at the rest of us, you might want to download GRAMMARLY. Just saying.
While there MAY have been attraction between Vince & Amy at this time, none of us are qualified to evaluate the hearts of others. People can be friends & perhaps even be attracted to one another but “not DO anything about it.” That’s a choice & it’s our choices that make us who we are. I find it admirable that Vince & Amy continued to work on their marriages beyond the time of this Christmas Special but but sadly weren’t able to save them. It doesn’t follow that b/c of this, they don’t deserve happiness in life moving forward.
I like both these guys but the more I see Amy the more my sympathy grows for Janis Oliver, I love her performing with her sister, but I remember her playing a bluegrass instrumental with Vincce she did a great job but at the end of her solo piece she immediately looked at vince like seeking approval he nodded an smiled , her face lit up to have got the ok from him, I bet she was totally oblivious of what was happening.I would say that it was a mismatch Amy very sharp business woman with many strings go her now Janis never had a chance though in my opinion, she was the prettier of the two at that time.
Tom, there were problems in Vince and Janis' marriage before this. Vince and Amy never had an affair. No one ever wins in divorce, there is always hurt on both sides, regret on both sides.
Look at the video interview from 1991 with Vince and Janice. It is on UA-cam. The lady interviewing them asks if it is difficult being in a 2 musician marriage. They both say that they have struggled, and Janice says she thought that they wouldn’t make it a couple of times. This was way before Amy. Their marriage was already hanging on by a thread.
When u get marrie you say for Better an for Worse. U will not ivorce ur hubby bec he is Worse. Thats my Bible sai Go hates ivorce. But now only Jesus will b juge. I cnt juge.
I don't think God is pleased with divorce, but I think He understands they whys and reasons for it to happen. Also, you get married stating that you are holding nothing back and you are presenting your true self. Forsaking all others also includes drugs and alcohol--not just infidelity. I am sure there are a lot more evil and bad things occurring on Earth every day that God hates more. I'm going to take a wild guess and say anything evil that involves children and babies ranks higher than two unhappy people divorcing. But from your statement, even if your hubby is the worst, you MUST stay in the marriage because God will be upset and hate it. What a crock.
So freaking awkward... the way her and Vince Gill look at each other.. it’s so obvious that something was already going on between them.. clearly don’t know all the details of Amy and Gary and what struggles of there marriage was going through prior to her and Vince starting there affair (cause let’s face, despite what they want us to believe, they had an affair).. but still.. this is so awkward lol
Amy Grant winking at Vince at 5:07 likely indicates that they were already sleeping together or the affair was imminent. I adore Amy Grant, but how bold to be so blatant with the flirting when her then husband, Gary, is standing right in front of her on while on air. She knew the cameras would be up on her face and he would see her winking at Vince but she clearly did not care and Gary probably didn't care either. In fact, I guess nobody cared.
They were always flirtatious...no denying the chemistry between them. They make a great couple and I'm certainly not judging them. I don't think Gary was too good to her...he had some SERIOUS issues.
Sad that the kids had to live the breakup when all three were still young. Must have been extra hard on her boy who was still a child, to seperate from his dad. Gill and amy had some heated up romance, should have left it as that, and not all the seperation of spouses and scattered children. Shouldn't have called their passionate lustful relatioship "love" to justify their adulterous lifestyle. Shame on both, especially Amy who read the bible and knows God's ways, chose lover over her husband.
Did Jesus Christ stone anybody...for adultery or any other sin? You need to re-read your Bible. I think that Amy was pretty miserable with Gary...he was on drugs...and probably abusive, too. I lived with an alcoholic, abusive husband for over HALF my life. My only regret is not leaving him sooner, and God totally understands. The two families blended nicely...especially after Vince and Amy had their daughter, Corinna. "Judge not...lest ye be judged." "Let he who is without SIN cast the first stone."
AWKWARD.....

Read Gary Chapman’s interview in Texas Monthly magazine Aug 1997 where he admitted he was addicted to cocaine and jealous of Amy’s career.
In fact, I guess nobody cared.
and the choice of song says a lot
It was 15 years ago but apparently you still care enough to comment on something you have no first hand knowledge of.
They were always flirtatious...no denying the chemistry between them. They make a great couple and I'm certainly not judging them. I don't think Gary was too good to her...he had some SERIOUS issues.
TheDudezer they said they didn’t commit adultery.
That doesn’t look like a wink to me. Both of her eyes closed at the same time. Isn’t that called blinking?
Sad that the kids had to live the breakup when all three were still young. Must have been extra hard on her boy who was still a child, to seperate from his dad.
Gill and amy had some heated up romance, should have left it as that, and not all the seperation of spouses and scattered children.
Shouldn't have called their passionate lustful relatioship "love" to justify their adulterous lifestyle.
Shame on both, especially Amy who read the bible and knows God's ways, chose lover over her husband.
divorce is hard on all kids....not just the ones of filth rich parents.
Elvis Chick True..
Only God can judge!
So, Amy and Gary should have subjected their kids to an unhappy household? Sounds reasonable. . .not!
5:08 ya se va observando el coqueteo entre los futuros adulteros.....lamentable
