My favorite couple of all time and I have the CG Tennessee Christmas, it’s a fabulous album, Christmas in my house is Gills CDs Amy & Vince echoes in this house at Christmas time.

After reading some of these comments below, I wonder if those who are so critical of Vince and Amy know anything about them. If you don't, isn't it wrong to throw stones at them? The media lies and lies. I would rather believe what Vince and Amy said than what comes out of the mouths or pens of reporters.
I was in a really bad marriage. Sadly, I was the only one who wanted to do anything to make things better. These two gave me hope that better is possible. The stalking comment was totally a joke. Amy and her first husband had serious on-going marital issues before she ever met Vince. Part of the problem was that he refused to admit there were problems. When Vince’s marriage fell apart she could have left her husband immediately. She did not. She stayed, they did counseling. When all hope of repairing what was broken was gone, she left. Things have not worked out the same for me. But I am infinitely happier than I ever could have been had we stayed together.
I have been a fan of Vince Gill since he began his career. He did not think of himself as perfect; anything but. After his marriage ended, he would not say anything bad about his wife. The only thing I heard him say was that she would not allow him to bring a Christmas tree into their home, even though they had a child, so he would rent a motel room and put a tree there for his daughter. I felt sorry for the breakup of his marriage, but I do not believe it was because of Amy Grant. When a marriage ends, only God and the people involved really know what caused it.
When I discovered that Amy Grant had been in a difficult relationship, and had the strength to leave, it helped me so much. I was in a very difficult relationship, but it was still difficult to leave, thinking of all the damage and pain it would cause, and foremost the pain and difficulties for my children. In "Fireproof" they had it so right, "taking them apart now will hurt either one of them or both now". But there is not always a choice. And no one has to live in a troubled home. I hope people will bear in mind judge not lest ye be judged. Amy Grant and Vince Gills marriage is inspiring and hopefilled, and their happiness is contagious. God bless them.
I remember watching Amy's former husband on a talk show back when she had started her 'relationship' with Vince. There was tremendous pain! I have never been able to think of Amy, the Christian, in a positive light since. Justify adultery any way you like, but it is still soul destroying to those you leave in your wake!
Read Gary Chapman’s interview in Texas Monthly magazine Aug 1997. He says in his own words that he had a cocaine addiction and was very jealous of Amy’s success. That’s what she dealt with all those years before Vince Gill ever showed up. If Gary seemed sad about his divorce, I’m sure he was. He probably has some regrets of his own behavior during the marriage. When a marriage fails it is very rarely one person’s fault, and it’s usually a long time in coming.
