    It looks absolutely scrumptious, but may I ask you 2 questions, please? What size tin did you use and secondly (I might have missed the reason) why did you put a band of tinfoil around the outside of the tin?

    Waiting for our copy to be delivered, liked the idea all the traybakes could all be baked in the one size pan. This one looks heavenly, I'd better get the ingredients tomorrow and make it, if we want to have it on Sunday.

    This looks divine! I make something similar but in a bundt pan. I always fail on my caramel! Please advise, my sugar always gets crystallized :(

      Because the flan was more dense, it sank to the bottom while it cooked. I am surprised that it didn't mix.

      I don't think so - for the cake mix it would work, but the flan needs it for structure
