They've been calling the F5 Deep Sea Diverticulitis since Kevin Steen was working for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla...which I guess goes to show how many people were actually watching Pro Wrestling Guerrilla.
It does seem convenient to me that just as talks of AEW going down hill have ramped up that the Bucks and Kenny are taking a leave of absence. It’s almost like they’re trying to distance themselves from the blame for the organization’s failure. Or they can also claim that the company tanked because they weren’t on it.
And they shot themselves in the foot of any chance of working over at Triple H and Nick Khan should they decide to follow Cody, since Punk got there first and presumably stays put there for the forseeable future.

Why’s everyone convinced it’s to “mock”? It’s just some silly wordplay. The actual name used was Deep Sea Diverticulitis. There’s no ill will in something that absurd.
@option3590 but Excalibur named it only after brock retired from ufc due to diverticulitis. There is no reason to name it after an intestinal illness. And they could've renamed it when people called them out but aew and it's fanbase just too toxic to admit any shortcomings.
Had no idea it was named that in the game. So much Karma here. I don’t wish diverticulitis on my worst enemy. It is a terrible, terrible illness. My father suffers from it. It’s devastating. My father had to have parts of his stomach removed. For the record, it can be hard to diagnose.
The more Will wrestles in AEW, and wrestles the likes of Lance Archer, trust me Jim will love his work. Will has some of the best matches with Lance Archer during NJPW days, both of them having a match in AEW, and if Tony Khan is actually smart enough, get NJPW to have Shingo Takagi face Will Ospreay at Forbidden Door 3, Jim gonna enjoy it. Shingo Takagi btw is one of Will Ospreay’s prominent rivals. Their series of matches in NJPW are always a treat.
I think they would have either dropped them or it would have had a swerve after the match. And even if they did win, a swerve would have happened at some point
So Brock gets mocked for having diverticulitis by having his move, the F-5, being named as such in Fight Forever, and now is the argument that it wasn't Kenny who named it diverticulitis, it was Excalibur. Didn't Kenny handle the video game? Didnt he have the final say on what makes the final cut? So its totally alright on fighting the game developers on one issue but leaving this commentary line of Excalibur calling the F-5 diverticulitis is totally alright? This is how karma works everyone. Thank God the golden jerk offs are done. Hope he recoveres though
No, Omega didn't have final say on stuff. He was barely involved in development as he shouldn't have been and the game was still awful. All he did was pitch it and then be the poster boy, but he wasn't the one at a computer doing code or naming moves in the game.
Kevin Steen would use the F-5 in PWG and Excalibur coined it “Deep Sea Diverticulitis” alluding to Brock Lesnar. Then they used it in the game. That’s the origins. Super ironic.

I was diagnosed with diverticulitis in february after severe stomach pain that ended up with surgery from a rupture and septic shock. People who downplay it don't realize it can get real really fast.
I'm not a fan of Kenny Omega nor will I ever be, but I do feel sorry for the guy and wish him well. If diverticulitis put Brock on his ass, I'd hate to see what it's going to do to Kenny. You know Meltzer is going to be at his bedside the entire time. The time of this couldn't come at a worse time for AEW, as the Tag match is now up in the air. But after that promo with Jericho, maybe it's wise that Omega didn't crust Jericho. Of course, Tony will tell you everything is still "great".
They made fun of Brock's disease in their failed videogame and then the head of the game gets the same disease. You get what you deserve from time to time. At times the world is fair.
I wish Kenny the best in his battle with diverticulitis, which is a serious health issue. I hope he does what’s best for himself and his company and retire while he’s still young enough to enjoy life. Between his injury history and now this… it would be best. An elite level decision.
For this to be really deadly and painful,i have no idea why he was delaying on going to hospital for so long on top of TK not forcing him to go to a hospital. I swear one way or another someone is gonna drop dead in that ring and TK is trying to let it happen because knowing him he thinks its good for business
To be fair, it took me a while to go see someone about it. Thought it was just a bout of intense stomach pain/wind but it never went away and got worse. It gets misdiagnosed a lot. Thankfully my doctor sent me to the hospital to get my blood taken and they picked it up right away.
When Kenny came back from his previous hiatus, he really didn't seem 100%. Despite that, he still went and took unnecessary bumps, especially that tiger driver. Hope he recovers and maybe changes his style of wrestling.
Believe it or not Kenny actually isn't to blame for the diverticulitis thing in the video game. That falls on Kevin Owens of all people. Before signing with WWE he used to use the F5 as a sort of secondary finisher on the Indies and Ring of Honor and that's what he called it. The Young Bucks being friends with Kevin obviously decided to call the move that in the game in honor of him. If anything Kevin was the one mocking Lesnar for his diverticulitis not Omega.
You just outed the bucks as to blame too, I bet they remembered the Steen bit and went Oh Kenny. Given their track record of rumour leaking and taking personal cheap shots from behind others who then are left to take the heat (in this case, Kenny and Excrement, in the case of disrespecting Jim Ross, Cutlet was eaten alive on social media when clearly The Bucks had him say what he did), I wouldn’t be surprised if it was really them all along. If it was, a Brock vs Bucks match needs to happen, and Brock is made aware of the disrespect.
Randy and the Miz, as much as people say they are kinda boring in-ring or whatever, but they have stayed very healthy and can still do the damn thing as old as they are and look like they still have another 5 years.
The difference in handling wrestlers injuries (both fake and real) between AEW and WWE is simply gigantic. Charlotte Flair gets hurt in match, scrapes together a finish that didn't include her taking the bump that hurt her again, and it takes some time before there is any official statement from WWE, without something on her own social media. or did I miss something!? Compare that to both the Moxley and Omega injuries! But in a honesty, hopes Kenny Omega gets better, even if it also takes 18 month!
That Brock Lesnar case of diverticulitis was no joke. He was apparently close to dying when he stormed out of the hospital in Manitoba and drove to North Dakota before the UFC flew him to the Mayo Clinic. They had to surgically remove parts of his intestines.
calling the F5 Diverticulitis in the game is such a dick thing to do, typical Olivier inside joke that isn't smart or funny, deserves to suffer for a while
If Brock Lesnar never got Diverticulitis He would’ve probably never went back to the WWE than we would’ve got to see him potentially fight Francis Ngannou DC and Jon Jones
@CalSaurous They might have come up with it but someone okayed it for the game. Was it Omega or someone else? Either way like someone else said karma.

Look at his response to the neck bump that he took at the end of his last match with Ospreay. He insulted people who expressed genuine concern about the unsafe work.
If he has a brain and sense. Yes.
I'm not the type to wish ill on most people however it is a bit ironic that the guy who mocked Brock Lesnar for having Diverticulitis is suddenly out with the same condition
Hope Kenny gets better
I'm not a fan of his work but I don't want anyone to suffer from diverticulitis.
In this case he made fun of it and found out first hand why people take it so seriously.
@@RandalfElVikingohe didn’t excalibur mocked it and if you do a little bit of research you to find out, It was Kevin Steen’s finishing move in gcw so they where referring to that and he was not part of the the process of that part of the game

Regardless of the ridiculousness from Kenny Omega for the past four years in AEW, his health has to come first. I wish him a healthy life moving forward. You don't want to see people in the hospital for serious conditions. Get well soon. 🙏🏾
Yes.. I'm actually doubtful that he could have a decently long run in the E after all the injuries that he's been taking care of the last year or so.
No, if him mocking Brock for having it is true then fuck him.
Well said 🙏
Brock Lesnar with the JC tattoo. 😂😂😂
I've been suffering with Diver for years now, and he has my sincere sympathies. Whatever else Kenny may be, I hope he gets his medical condition sorted out so he can at least be comfortable.
Take care of yourself, mate. I’ve also got it - currently manageable.
Even if Omega didnt say it, im willing to bet money he laughed his ass off and supported it by leaving it in when they showed him.
@@nero48 He'd 110% okay that, no doubt in my mind.
@@nero48 🎯 It's only not funny when it happens to them. This elite group of aholes love mocking everyone now it's turning around on them. I don't feel bad for him one bit but I don't wish anyone to get diverticulitis.
To refer to Kenny Omega’s wrestling style. What Kenny has been doing to himself is why AJ has slowed things down in the ring and why he doesn’t do the same flips that he used to do. To prevent all of THAT from happening to him.
I ain't buying it. Really? Twinkletoes, Hangnail, and the Buckaroos are sick cause of the downfall of AEW. Not only that, but they thought Punk wouldn't show back up on anyone television. Their video game bombed and it's not a positive look for AEW all around.
The "Elite" lost their smiles (and by that, I mean their shit eating smirks from their victory lap against Punk).
I’ve got diverticulitis - thankfully a mild form. Hope Kenny gets well soon, but at the same time karma is indeed a bitch.
Apparently Excalibur named it, not him.
I have UC. These things are controllable, with changes to diet and medication. I certainly do hope he will be all right. Omega should talk with Lesnar, he has the same illness, and has admitted he had to make some changes to his diet and lifestyle.
The thing about karma is that it doesn't affect you until your next life.
@@Billinois78 Listen to a little John Lennon song named Instant Karma.
Kenny had nothing to do with that first off Excalibur is the one that made fun of it and secondary referencing a move from Kevin Steen form GCW and lastly, kenny wasn’t even part of development anymore when that move is made, he already stated you all are pathetic
Excalibur tweeted when the game came out that his greatest contribution to the game was re naming the move to diverticulitis..
I’ve thought the same thing.
And they shot themselves in the foot of any chance of working over at Triple H and Nick Khan should they decide to follow Cody, since Punk got there first and presumably stays put there for the forseeable future.

Excalibur named f5 in indies as diverticulitis to mock brock lesnar for some reason, not sure what brock did to him.
Then they named f5 as diverticulitis in the "aew fight forever, buy never" game.
And Kenny being the lead for game design is now down with diverticulitis
Kenny clarified he had nothing to do with it.
Why’s everyone convinced it’s to “mock”?
It’s just some silly wordplay. The actual name used was Deep Sea Diverticulitis. There’s no ill will in something that absurd.
@atikulislam6359 oh he confirmed it so it must be true then
Do you get scammed easily as well online sir.
@option3590 but Excalibur named it only after brock retired from ufc due to diverticulitis.
There is no reason to name it after an intestinal illness.
And they could've renamed it when people called them out but aew and it's fanbase just too toxic to admit any shortcomings.
@@atikulislam6359 You mean he wasn't paying attention to the game he was in charge of developing? That is not the defence you think it is...
Obviously as a non-gamer, I had no idea about the Brock Lesnar thing in the AEW video game. That really puts an interesting spin on things.
Had no idea it was named that in the game. So much Karma here. I don’t wish diverticulitis on my worst enemy. It is a terrible, terrible illness. My father suffers from it. It’s devastating. My father had to have parts of his stomach removed. For the record, it can be hard to diagnose.
*Names a move "Diverticulitis" to mock a top star*
*Gets Diverticulitis himself*
Real life is a better booker than Tony Khan.
Uncle Dave will be crying himself to sleep because of this.
But all kidding aside, I hope he gets better ASAP.
LMFAO I saw uncle Dave speak on this and he sounded like he was giving a eulogy
You know Dave has requested a bed next to Kenny's so he can be with us during this whole ordeal.
I was actually hoping Jim wished Kenny well, but the “feeling bloated every 4 weeks or so” line fucking popped me lmao
Just noticed Jim is no longer calling Will Ospreay Ostrich. Good to hear he’s softened up on him a bit.
Bill and Ricky should be relieved that they aren't dropping the tag title to Kenny and Jericho at the PPV with Omega out and plans changed
I think they would have either dropped them or it would have had a swerve after the match. And even if they did win, a swerve would have happened at some point
Tony would book kenny to wrestle while still in his hospital gown, look at bryan he's a mummy from ancient Egypt
Meltzer's over use of the term "really bad" is hilarious.
People were saying opens called it that in the indies, but they're nuts to not see how distasteful it is 🤦🤣
No, Omega didn't have final say on stuff. He was barely involved in development as he shouldn't have been and the game was still awful. All he did was pitch it and then be the poster boy, but he wasn't the one at a computer doing code or naming moves in the game.
@CalSaurous the devs know better. They'll probably get complaints that it's offensive to people actually suffering from diverticulitis.
@@loonanite as they should. It's Yuke's responsibility. But the game overall is a disgusting ripoff that never should have seen the light of day.

Kevin Steen would use the F-5 in PWG and Excalibur coined it “Deep Sea Diverticulitis” alluding to Brock Lesnar. Then they used it in the game. That’s the origins. Super ironic.
Its INCREDIBLY hard to diagnose diverticulitis. Thats what happened with Brock. Gastro doctors know almost nothing.
Why are even specialists so clueless and incompetent about it? Don't they train and study for many years?

Brian Cage uses the F5 but it's called the F10 right? Why couldn't they call it the F10 in the game instead?
Doesn't Wardlow do it or a variation as well ?
Spite
Wardlow is F10 while Brian Cage is F'n 5.
And neither are as good as Lesnar or near Lesnar’s level… he would eat them alive
Wardlow used the F10 as a finisher in his early matches. Slightly different move, more spin and release of the opponent whilst standing rather than drive down into the mat

Hope Kenny gets well soon. I might not like that Kliq in AEW but nobody deserves that shit.
Same out of him the bucks and hangman I'd say Kenny isn't as childish as them
They made fun of Brock's disease in their failed videogame and then the head of the game gets the same disease.

I wish Kenny the best in his battle with diverticulitis, which is a serious health issue. I hope he does what’s best for himself and his company and retire while he’s still young enough to enjoy life. Between his injury history and now this… it would be best. An elite level decision.
How is everyone collectively glossing over the fact that Omega was mocking Brock for this condition…. If anything fuck this guy. F’n karma bruh😂
This is pure karma for mocking Brock Lesnar in the video game. That aside, hope Kenny gets better
Diverticulitis is no joke.
Think what you may of the person, but this could be serious and you wouldn't wish it on anybody
@@nickhughes8179 didn't see your comment until now but you are completely right about the Bucks being just as much to blame as Kevin

The difference in handling wrestlers injuries (both fake and real) between AEW and WWE is simply gigantic.
