Thank you for your videos. We purchased a 1999 27ft rear bath lazy daze. Watching your videos has given us the confidence and courage to start renovations on our rv. You are talented!!!
The Lovely LInda you have done it again !!! NEVER ceasing to amaze me with your problem-solving skills and persistence. You're illustrating that I'm a " Global Idiot ", meaning NO MATTER where on the Globe that I reside, I'm an Idiot. My incompetence is clearly evident through every mounting DIY projects you tackle, while I'm becoming the Waterboy ( Adam Sandler Movie ). Although, it has been well noted that I can carry the water with the best of them. Glad to see you again. Always Syn Silver !!!
8:12 That generator is not sitting level. That creates lubrication failure risk. Few times I watched it start it does not appear to be secured. Might have some broken mounts that need to be addressed.
Thank you again. It’s hard to do everything by myself and I don’t know how to fix those mounts. I don’t use the generator very often but hopefully will be able to get that checked out and fixed someday. Thank you for caring enough to let me know 🙏🏽
Thank you for solving this Onan remote switch start/stop issue. I will check to see if this is the problem with my generator that will not start/stop from the remote generator switch. Could you advise what the part number is for the 6 pin Molex connector and where you purchased it? Happy travels!
Sorry you are having issues with your generator as well. Onan generators seem to always have problems! So frustrating! I listed the part number for the harness in the video description, but here it is again: Onan 338-2046 Remote Harness I found this part at Bunkhouse Conversions, but it appears to be out of stock (I think I might have gotten the last one!). But you can find it at other online stores. Just type in that part number above and you should see some options. I lucked out and found it for $5, but it seems like most of the other stores are charging more. But I hope you're able to find it and that is solves your generator problem. Good luck!
5:11 And a fail. All you did was create five additional failure points using those cheap butt connectors. 6:14 Then you tried to hide your sin with another sin. All you did was create a pitri dish for corrosion. Nothing is weather tight and since you wrapped it with tape like you did. Nothing will ever dry out accelerating the phenomenon.... and now you can't see its progression. Remove all the tape. Cut your butt splices out. Purchase non insulated butt connectors. Purchase lined 3:1 heat shrink. I prefer clear, but you can choose any color you want. Pre cut your heat shrink to at least twice as long as your butt connector. Slide heat shrink over all five wires, strip wires just long enough to reach the center of the butt connector. Crimp both sides. Slide heat shrink over and uniformly heat from one end to the other. Goal is to not trap any air pockets. So completely shrink one end and work your way across. Now you have a weather tight repair that will not let you down. In addition you should spray fluid film inside the connector to create an oxegen barrier so it can not corrode again. If you choose to only take one action... Remove the tape.
Thank you for taking the time to write all that out. I’m learning a lot and definitely not an expert. I was excited that I figured out the problem and fixed it, but I didn’t know there was a better way of doing it. I appreciate all that you wrote. You wrote it pretty clearly too so I think I will be able to follow your instructions and make those corrections. Thank you!

Thank you! And congratulations on getting your LD! It can be a lot of work sometimes but it’s worth it. Good luck!

@@LindaYoshi Now this a " line from The Waterboy Movie ", but it's the reinforcement that's appreciated. Always, Syn Silver !!!
Nice job Linda .🙂
Thank you!
Way to go, Linda!
Thank you! I feel like I'm a full-on electrician or generator repair person now (although I wouldn't know how to fix anything else, lol)!
