Thank you for the clear explanation on this excellent video. As of now, how have your results been of this program? Do you use 5X5 for the bench press? In the past, I've hit lifting plateaus, this 5X5 looks to be a great way to break the plateau. So far so good.
I read an interesting spin on 5x5 that Dan John suggested in easy strength which I think I am going to try. You do the 5x5 workout but the rep scheme he recommended was 2,3,5,2,3,5,2,3. You use the same weight like you would do the original 5x5 but he says it’s less fatigue and easier to maintain good form for the whole training session.
What would a good 3 exercises to run this as a full body workout and have one other day for kettlebell work. Deadlift for legs, bench press and maybe row or military?
What are your recommendations for warm ups , without using too much volume. I'm currently building up to cycling 100 miles for 5 days and I like adding the minimalist programs as my weight training. Thanks for explaining how this works.
The Reload book is only available with the « kindle » format. Where can we find it in paper. With a shipping to France ? 😢 Anyway thanks a lot Coach ! Super interesting and super pedagogical
Maybe you can also participate to a strongfirst seminar with Fabio, i think he does that kind of seminar where he explains this method... But yes only in pdf and only in english.
9:30 on Light days, keeping the same weight, are you also keeping the same rep range? Or are you progressing rep count pass 5 (maybe adding 1 rep a each session)? Just curious. Thanks again for the breakdown 💪😊
So if I was training 4 exercises, say Deadlift, Squat, MP and BP, could I do 4 days with 2 exercises each day? So your example of DL and MP and on the other day Squat and BP? Thanks
For the 80% test for amrap shouldn’t the percentages be flipped? So if you get a higher rep during the test, the increase percentage should be higher each week.
Thank you for all your great videos : simple, minimalist, efficient, very good explanation of strongfirst/hardstyle practice.
Great job 🙏🏻
Explications claires et précises, comme toujours 👌🏻
Merci!
Hi
Would be really great if you could pls do a video on Tsatsouline's 'Power to the People' program.
I will!

Yes
@@HardstyleKettlebellPro Really looking forward to it

This is an awesome way to break up 5x5.

Yup sounds good 👍

Ramp up with lighter weights. So if your work set is 200, do 150x 3, 175x 2...

You can't, it's only available in PDF.

This might be my winter program.
It works!
So for the tests, you do all 3 (1 RM, 5 RM, and 80%) all in the same session?
Do it in 2 sessions
@@HardstyleKettlebellPro ok thanks! So I’ll do my press 1RM in one session and a few days later do the 5RM and 80% tests for the press?

Still 5x5 on LIGHT exercises

Absolutely
What if my percentage of weight to increase. Doesn’t take my 5 rep max to my 1 rep max? All of my 8 week numbers fall just shy of my 1 rep max. Thanks

For someone that's just getting involved all these videos sometimes get overwhelming. But help.

No, it means you can't tolerate higher % jumps each week because you'll reach your 1RM too soon.

SERIOUSLY!
ARE YOU COMPLETELY INSANE?!
Lol why?
@@HardstyleKettlebellPro YEAH. LOL WHY?
When someone claims XY is THE BEST Way for ABC .... big red Flag ....
I said it's the BEST way, the most BASIC way, because it's fool-proof.

People hate simple programs that work well. Strange.
5x5 is a pretty old program, so its been through rigorous study.
you lost me at sumo
Ok..lol
So you went from 100 lbs. for the bench press in 8 weeks to 135 lbs.? That doesn't seem all that great to me.
