When your getting excited for Xmas cause of doctor who but you remember that you have to get through summer first 😭😭😭
Ugh. I hate summer. Mostly because I work in the heat. I prefer cooler weather.
@@Eric_1991I feel ya I want to move to Scotland

@@Eric_1991 and summer equals no doctor who
Ruby is Roger Ap Gwilliam’s long lost sister. Her dad’s name is William and “Ap William” is Son of William
Smart! Or... William is the real "One Who Waits," or some sort of random ice alien. Ruby CAN make it snow remember.
His full name is William Garnet -> William G -> G William
..and he is implied to be a bad un, also though note that Roger Ap Gwilliam's slightly dodgy (he sounds and seems just a tad authoritarian, creepville and suspect) database of DNA is involved, so is this reliable information? Or is there any trick-stir-ry involved? After all The Toymaker: I played god and made him a Jack in the box, hmm, a Mad Jack maybe?, said whilst... manipulating a deck of playing cards. William is also Bill and The Toymaker trickery began with Stooky Bill. I get a slightly bad feeling about this, Ruby, don't delve too deeply into who your dad is, I have a feeling that you might not like what you find....
Furthermore, good spot anyone (not me) that picked this up, you could be right because William Benjamin Garnet, William G - Gwilliam?
One thing I have just twigged though, garnet is oddly associated with positive, protective things. Including protection whilst traveling. Although it is also said to bring misfortune to those who commit wrongs whilst wearing it. It is ... ... a red precious stone! Hmm, ruby-like then.
Checking if the goblin song mentions garnished, not quite but almost so sort of - but did notice 'Now baby’s salted, she’s a treat,
Her destiny, it’s time to meet!'
Roger, Rogue, o.k. brain stop making nonsense connections.
RTD is using season 1 to set up season 2 maybe ?

I JUST WANT the snow and music explained
and why the trickster's theme played before carol of the bells in "the devil's chord". why the trickster, of all entities? it's even what made maestro freak out
Perhaps the snow was the Tardis hiding things from Sutekh, like every time he tried to look at Ruby and discover who her mother was, it snowed.
@@locutusuk68
Lame theory
It’s ok if we don’t like the answers and find it underwhelming, that’s subjective , but RTD flat out LIED to us and trolled us with no pay off
They were ment to solve more mistreys and all
I don't think Mrs Flood is anything good because of this exchange right here: "Do you believe in the power of prayer?" "I most certainly do." "Then tell your maker I will come to storm down his gates of gold and seize his kingdom in my true name." I think her having snow like Ruby is an indication that Ruby's ancestry is more than just her immediate biological parents.
No, that sounds good to me.
@@bicokunyou Sutekh you lol 😂
I have been a major DW nerd/fan for many years. I cried my eyes out when Ruby met her mom.
I was in Rage.

@@UryIsReal It's not just that. It just annoys me that there was such a huge hype about it. If you had just said she was normal then no one would be upset. All this puffing up didn't do any good.
@@UryIsReal And op was emotional over fictional characters...? What's your point?
OMG. Insane comments. The finale ending was brilliantly awesome, and made me cry tears of happiness.
I think the main problem with the season 1 finale was that it felt too much like an ending when there's clearly going to be more. Like if they in universe addressed stuff like how the snow never got explained and is still an ongoing mystery it wouldn't have felt so frustrating.
Ruby's father is Will Garnet. Garnet is a red stone. One of the birth stones, specifically. Thinking that's not an accident.
Ncuti Gatwa's Fifteenth Doctor uses an ingenious solution to reverse the damage done, potentially restoring Gallifrey and its people in the process🤗🤗🤗🤗
I'm a full-on Whovian and have seen the full series (from Eccleston) three times and grew up watching the old series (mostly Baker) and I LOVED the Finale and didn't find any fault in it.
People have been watching this season with unrealistic and unfair expectations. The Doctor ALLLLLLLLLWAYS has an easy time in finally defeating the Big bad. Everything always eventually just fits into place or he does one simple thing and everything inexplicably works.
He broke POTS TO DESTROY SATAN. He had people pray his name to defeat the master- THAT made sense?? Don't get me started on how he decided to blow up the TARDIS IN A BLOWING UP TARDIS to reset the universe and it made a perfect recreation of reality and everyone has a problem with the Doctor dragging the God of Death through the Timestream?? Maybe there could have been more in it if they had 12 episodes or more but thats not the fault of the writing. This wasnt underwhelming. It was super fun and dramaic and entertaining.
Seriously people, LIGHTEN UP. it was a lot of fun and I can't wait till next season.
We know it's called Joy to the world, if the character is also called Joy, that's so Moffaty.
Makes sense for there to be more to Ruby's story. We need to know about why she makes it snow next season!
This will be the first Doctor Who Christmas Special which will not be written by the showrunner.
Shame it's not my someone new 🤷
@@craigix you don't want someone new writing the Christmas Special. Let new writers get their feet wet in the middle of a season where there's less pressure.

The more I think about it, the more I think RTD deliberately made the finale underwhelming with little to no explanation for Ruby’s ability to create snow, and the Maestro’s fear when finding something very wrong with her. I feel like the finale was just a stepping stone to build us up to Ruby’s real reveal in the next season. My take is Ruby is a creation from another god. Just like Susan Triad was for Sutekh. Susan still had ordinary human parents.
I believe she is the daughter of Hecuba the Goddess of time
Lifetime obsessive fan since mid-Pertwee (Jo Grant was my first companion) and thought it was dreadful. Appalling writing, not so much dialled in as unable to even get a reception. Am also adopted and found the treatment of the subject to be facile in the extreme. If RTD is going to make smug jokes about appropriation, then maybe he should lead by example and stick to issues he has a genuine insight into. Ruby's mom is the woman who bought her up, who tucked her in every night, who changed her nappies, who nursed her when she was ill and comforted her nightmares. The casual obsession she feels for a woman who could not even get past feeling a bit awkward in order to muster the courage to find her own daughter is facile, and lacks any depth of understanding or empathy for the situation it purports to address. This reunion rang so empty and fake to me I found it insulting to the feelings I have as an adopted child, and to all the adoptive parents whose role it serves only to diminish, treating them as custodians not true parents.
I’ve been a fan of Who since the 70’s and have all the classic Who DVD’s, Big Finish Who, and Seen all the show since the 2005. I am a Who devotee. Being such I really enjoyed the Empire of Death and the Payoff. I don’t understand all the negative stuff, perhaps people overhyped it in their heads. Which is why I may watch sensible videos like yours, but I always approach the show with no expectation and get taken for the rollercoaster ride of a lifetime. But that maybe just me. Keep up the good work!!!!!!
I don't buy Ruby is normal is Carla Osborn all over again, and she made kind of sense.
I like empire of death, but how easy Ruby mom was found i don't buy.
You seem like a plain piece of white bread and maybe a glass of water for dipping, kind of person.
I agree completely. Theory crafting is fun, but you can never let yourself get too attached to those theories because then if it is anything else you are always disappointed. I honestly think part of a lot of people's problem come from the fact that they were right about Sutekh so they went in on a big high with massive expectations about their Ruby theories and it wasn't anything they had predicted so they are especially frustrated.
I understand some of the criticisms. I think the mom dramatically pointing at the sign and being dressed in the crazy robes is dumb and Overkill, but other than that I thought the story was perfectly enjoyable. I had watched pyramids of Mars for the first time earlier this year and while not a long-time fan of Sutekc didn't think he was treated any more disrespectfully here than he was when he was defeated by the time difference of radio waves unlocking his prison back then. Haha
Because it was s**t
Ruby will be Palpatine's granddaughter.
Thank you for doing such a great job through the season! Glad to be aboard!
@The Confused Adipose Did you notice that RTD gave us a clue in Empire of Death to the Timeless Child's true Planet? Compare The baby's dress to the Timeless Child's dress. RTD did say that the Kind Woman would be important.
Return of werewolves to Doctor Who?
don't stray from the path
the host has given me nightmares since 2006.
I don’t believe we have found her parents. When the doctor was with Susan triad in the finale he was talking about a perception filter being why Susan believed her backstory and then the next scene is ruby finding her parents. It’s a perception filter! To protect from the truth because in the moment, if sutekh found out the real truth he would have gone OTT.
I’m still convinced the real truth is that ruby is a good child of the tardis.
My only hope Verda isn't playing yet another present day earth companion, Ruby has that archetype covered and it's such a tired part of the show that could do with experimenting.
Yeah, hoping for someone from the past.
Honestly it would be nice to have an alien companion that looks alien. Though I get why they don’t. Less room for stories and constant makeup
There is the possibility that they are playing Mundy Flynn still.
One thing still not resolved, when the Toy Maker lost to the two doctors, who took the Master trapped in the gold tooth. All we know is the female was wearing red nail polish, and in an episode with Kate Lethbridge-Stewart, she had on red nail polish. So what if in Unit head quarters, thats not the real Kate Lethbridge-Stewart
I've been watching Dr Who since the 1960's (from the USA!), and I thought the finale was fantastic. As an adopted child (at birth on Dec 27 -- close but no cigar), I especially appreciated and teared up at the way Ruby's reunion with her mother was handled. To all of us adoptees, our birth parents are "gods" until we find them. When they turn out to be ordinary people that still care for us, there is no better ending!!!! The Finale WAS GREAT!
I was feeling kinda Bad for Ruby s real parentage story ending but more Bad for the doctor sad and not having Ruby as his full time companion anymore, and maybe a secondary in series 15 /season 2 ,but who knows ,maybe season 2 /series 15 Will do better reveals and better returns than the sutekh one
Have we... always had single seasons sandwiched by Christmas specials, I guess it makes sense I've just never noticed the frequency before. They always seemed more special
Yes traditionally there has roughly been one season a year and there was a Christmas special every year between 2005 and 2017
Christmas/new years specials happen every year. By comparison there have been multiple years where there wasn't even a season of doctor who so there ended up being 2 Christmas specials in a row like with the husbands of River song and the return of doctor mysterio
It made £364,253 for the double-bill finale in cinemas making it (No2 on Fri) & the fourth highest of the weekend across 275 screenings
I’m upset that the finale made me feel very unenthusiastic about the future of Doctor Who. I watched the first 13 seasons of new Who starting in November and finally caught up by the release of Dot and Bubble. I loved most of the episodes and the buildup throughout the new season. Episode 7 was my favorite but I was also very fond of 73 Yards. I liked the rest quite a bit, Space Babies was the only one I was lukewarm on… then I watched the finale. I liked the beginning, but none of the plotlines led anywhere or were explained well. I wish I could be excited for it again
Even though there's unanswered questions about Ruby and her parents, it feels like her storyline was concluded. Even though I am glad she's coming back, it does make me questions why.
I love this time of year where everything new is coming out at the end of the year
The ending was "the twist at the end" literally.. though few things still don't make sense and a few things still unexplained 😢
Looking for better episodes this time around I hope
Better comments too.

Yh,you'll be aight after!!😁✌️🍻
Long wait methinks.
I am going in yet again with low expectations, poor specials last year and underwhelming debut series for Gatwa sadly so yeah .... I just hope I like bits here and there
The season two sneak peak is the closest the show will get to actually saying "fuck you" to a person in the Whoniverse, can't wait for that.
I am a true whovian and absolutely love Doctor Who. I did love the finale but it lacked a bit of action in the middle. However, I was sad when Ruby found her mother and was so glad that she did. Cannot wait for the Christmas Special. I just hope Season 2 is longer.
I think casual viewers enjoyed it more because they are happy to just let it be whatever it is, and don't over speculate because they don't care that much about it being a certain thing, whereas us Whovians tend to build up expectation too much and create bigger elaborate plot theories that are more intelligent than the show actually is these days. We should probably stop speculating and expecting, and just watch to be surprised / entertained. Sometimes delving into the archives to fish out the biggest and best theory can put the real story into a shadow of disappointment.
Thanks for the video :). It gave me a lot of hope for next season and that some lingering threads of Ruby's story will actually be answered - like the snow and the song that sounded so similar to the Trickster's, along with UNIT finding her mother when Sutekh and Maestro couldnt figure her out :).
Been watching since 1978... Definitely a long-term, in-depth fan, and I adored the finale. It was a very intelligently written and executed episode. I'm not really understanding all the negativity and hesitation surrounding it.
At least 3 characters including the Doctor making 4th wall breaks to the viewers.
Hope that gets resolved as they are addressing the audience watching, meaning they know the public are watching Doctor Who.
I am mainly looking forward to finding out more about the new companion Varada Sethu! Her appearance in Boom was fantastic! It looks like one of her episode is set in the 1950s judging by the costumes.
I think we're going to find out more about Mrs Flood this Christmas. I just genuinely hope we see more of Ruby because I thought she was a fantastic companion.
I'm going to join your channel tomorrow!
Erm... I don't think it's right to say that a drop from roughly 3m to roughly 2m is relatively consistent. It's only a million drop, but it's a 33% drop.
I’d like Varada Sethu to just be playing Mundy Flynn again; the Doctor could easily bump into/find her again, and it would allow for a deeper dive into Villengard…
My family is the same they loved the finale but I didn’t maybe we all went in with to much expectations
I'm a fan. A tiny bit obsessive, maybe. I liked it, but I'm starting to think about the plot holes, and there are quite few, aren't there? Why did Suthek need the name of Ruby's mum so badly, if she was just an ordinary person? Didn't make sense.
Do you think the meep’s boss (maybe the same person / being as rogues boss) will be the villain in the big finale of season 2 ad Russel T Davies said “the tardis trio will be fighting together because the stakes are higher than ever”, maybe it is the trickster, I really want him back
I re-watched Empire of Death and sadly I felt empty after watching it. I think when you watch it first time, you are more kind to it. Now I find it very boring. Ruby's story is going to continue, as RTD has said in season two it will continue. I really felt let down and disappointed in the finale, and very let down by RTD.
See that's what I don't get, people that know she is coming back so we are at most 50% of the way through Ruby's story and acting like it is all over and it's so disappointing.
It was snowing on that rooftop - I’m not sure why Mrs Flood had a parasol (and suitcase).
Another thing that penny dropped after the last episode, I don't think Sutekh has to be the one who waits in Toymaker reference terms, I think that's maybe a bit of clever sleight of hand script-wise because Sutekh fits that description but so could other characters/entities thus it could be about someone/something else when The Toymaker mentioned it. Maybe also the same thing Maestro meant about the 'wrong' music (wrong to 'discordant' Maestro of course! Perspective!) hidden in Ruby.
Why? Because The Toymaker saw it hiding and ran. Sutekh is in the same pantheon of discord so it might not be Sutekh that scared The Toymaker. So could it be to do with Ruby or whatever 'Mrs Flood' is and what they 'conceal'? Ruby has the hidden song, Mrs Flood is always hiding away like The Doctor hiding behind the faces of their regenerations.
Of course the hidden in Ruby could just be the positive aspects of her humanity but there are these interesting places it could go where like Clara and River et al they are more extraordinary than we think.
Calling it now the new companion will be called Brindle Dee. I really enjoyed the Empire of Death especially Mel. I had given too much thought about Ruby's Mum so was underwhelmed with the reveal. Won’t do that again. But I was ok with the ending. I’ve really enjoyed the variety this season and the creative ways they dealt with Ncuti's absence. Legend of Ruby Sunday is my favourite episode of the season but if treated as a two parter then 73 yards, Dot and Bubble and Boom go above as my favourite stories. Been a fan since the late sixties and been to many conventions. have met all the classic Doctors bar Hartnell. Not missed a first broadcast since 1974.
THEORY: perhaps ruby's had mother had originally died and the trickster was the original person who left her for their boss (perhaps pointing to betray Sutekh to take over the pantheon), Sutekh, but now the doctor won - the trickster, now in charge, changed time by giving ruby's mum life, his gimmick, ensuring ruby and the doctor are separate because they are such a powerful duo as they killed a god.. making it easier for the weaker but more cunning trickster and it would leave ruby's mum a normal woman and why the doctors memory changed. could also explain why the point changed, originally it was the trickster giving the doctor a hint so Sutekh would loose and he can take over, then after bringing her back time changed to fit that it was now her mum, aka now the road.. This makes me feel better and would explain why it was left like this. AND it explains the cloak, but that was always the thing that made people think trickster.
Final viewing figures only come out 7 days after the first screening. Wait till Saturday.
The season was great but I couldn't believe how it ended they just threw away all the build up. The one who waits should have been something great. Honestly The Toy Maker would make the best final boss with his reality warping abilities. "You don't get it Doctor. We've been playing two totally separate games. I've been playing the long game."
Am I the only one that thinks this sneak peek felt kind of like the bar scene from 73 yards?
There is absolutely no way there is anything more to Rubys parents. Russell said in the video commentary that he wrote her story as a response to Rise of Skywalker, in that he liked the idea that Reys parents were just nobodys and hated the retcon in tros that made her palpatines granddaughter. If its now revealed in a later episode that rubys parents actually are soneone he would literally just br doing the thing he said he was trying to criticise
Agreed. I think her importance is something like what The Doctor described in the finale. He said that Ruby’s belief that her mom was important gave that moment of her appearance power, and inspiring everyone else to believe that she was important, including Sutekh, importantly, gave that memory of her even more power. That all probably comes down to the salt at the end of the universe thing, which itself was an instance of a superstition being given power because it was believed in, which opened the door to more magical creatures to get into the universe, proper. Ruby’s personal power also comes from her intense belief, in that she can basically make a new spirit or god or something of that nature due to the new magical ways of the universe. She’s just a normal person with extraordinary faith.
It doesn't explain the snow really or the fact that Davina and UNIT couldn't get DNA, but Roger Ap Gwilliam and his program could. 😮
I enjoyed the Finale very much. I have seen every episode since An Unearthy Child so make of that what you will.
i had an idea that all series 2 baddies will be from the Horror genre , which is why mrs flood says the doctors future ends in absolute terror.(seeing as series 1 started with goblins and the boogeyman and some people think mrs flood is some kind of God of Stories) As next episode will be xmas special and we've seen an everest base camp i will be expecting a lot more snow and maybe an appearance by Krampus who is meant to be part of the pantheon of discord but strangely wasn't meantioned by name in harriet harbingers monologue , so maybe ruby might not be human after all.susan triad asked if ruby's band could play Gaudete , which along with carol of the bells and joy to the world could all feature in such a show. Maybe krampus goes completely awol and instead of just punishing kids on the naughty list starts a rampant killing spree and either ruby has to turn out to be some new jesus/spirit of xmas or NICOLA coglan turns out to be some SJW rainbow freindly version of St Nicholas and reigns him in and tidies up all the pieces leftover. i'm sure it will be better under moffat whatever happens ...bring on the abominable snowmen !!! lol
They made £365k in the cinema screenings
One tenth of the box office of day of the doctor and one third of Deep Breaths box office! Which is crazy to me ...but yeah haha it was a midnight showing so 30,000 fans watching in cinemas is a big deal
If each person paid £20 it works out to be less than twenty thousand.
@@frederickkirkham2504 compared to ten times that for day of the doctor ....which had nearly 13 million live broadcast plus over 200,000 to the cinema to see it! Deep Breaths had 80,000 go to the cinema to see it plus 9 million overnight ... Gatwa had 20,000 with 2.3 million over night ....it's crazy how it's all changed
Iwonder if Mrs Flood is staying in that tent on top of the mountain, she was dressed for snow
I believe this time line is being manipulated by Hecuba Ruby’s real mom who is about to give the Doctor a horrible choice if he tries to fix this timeline. I am a huge veteran fan, excited for this! Was a fan before it was cool! Love Bridgerton too!
I kinda think the crazy theories does kill the show a bit, for once I didn't have crazy theories and just enjoyed it and ended up enjoying it soooooo much more
I wonder if maybe Sethu might be returning as Mundy Flynn next season? The ending of Boom implied the Doctor had dropped his TARDIS key, and given that he had promised to stop back with them at some point, I think there might be something going on there.
RTD has said she’s not coming back as Mundy
ahh, I must have missed that somewhere.

Hi Boop!🤪✌️🍻
Wouldn't it be amazing if Ruby's dad was actually The Master. Also whenever you get podcasts about DW now they're always hosted by young people. Do they not realise that people over the age of 30 watch the show too?
I just hear the voice of the silence
‘Joy, her name is Joy’ your name is Amelia’
im a new canadaio fan the sesoson got better and better
1:14-1:37 Thanks for making that absolutely clear! This is the thing that really annoys me about live broadcast figures these days, 2 & 3 million are by no means abysmal numbers but because they’re not absolutely stratospheric like used to be in the days before iPlayer & Netflix etc you still get loads of d*ckheads online look at it and drone on that the show’s dying & no of us care anymore when really we very much still do, we just have something called ‘Lives’ and might just happen to busy at 6:45 on a Saturday night
Calling it season two is odd (I know it's not you who is) Season 2 aired in 1964-65!! Series 2 aired in 2005 to 06! Confused yet LOL (Its really SEASON 41)
Bring back Scrappy Doo ....we need more laffs ....that will increase the viewings figures....by a couple❤😊😂
Well, first and foremost, I would say that Mrs Flood needs to see a therapist!
My new theory is that we will probably have more gods coming up next series!
The filming photos of the episode where we see the new companion also shows Mrs Flood traveling in time... and more importantly a theatre spelling out a movie title: "HAR B INGER"...
A god of stories (like Mrs Flood) could fit here... a movie is a story... It could also explained the alternative Britain Empire we've seen where the Doctor is living is his life as Mr Smith.
What if the answer we are missing (like the snow) is in fact connected to series 2 and we will get that covered.
Adding to the fact we have similarities coming up next series, Ruby's mystery with her family again, gods, Mrs Flood with a plan... what if this all leading to series 1 events but in the wrong order ...
Thinking about it, it could make sense as I feel like RTD struggled a little bit, perhaps too ambitious with only 8 episodes! He also was forces to cut some scenes and dialogues! The fact that it was filmed back to back could be because series 1 and series 2 are one entire season cut in half .... the two combined would make a total of 16 episodes with 2 Christmas specials, this is close to the number of episodes RTD 1 series had!
Consistency is a good thing with the viewing figures. I am excited for Series 15 of Doctor Who along with the Christmas Special. I'll keep using Disney+ and catch up on shows and films. The finale was good. The second part is weaker compare to the first part, but I am happy with the ending and Sutekh. I am a big fan of Doctor Who, but I am not bothered by the series itself. I basically left just as the Flux Season started and returned literally in the 60th Anniversary Specials. I just watch it for fun and for the sci-fi. I genuinely don't mind the mix-match of genres and themes. You gotta remember that there is people out there that will see this series as their first Doctor Who season they watched, and it feels good to have a refresher of the... canon.
I'M a long time fan classic and new and enjoyable and fun is so much better if logical sense exists with it or at least someone saying DOCTOR why the snow and tge reply I'll explain later.
I'm giving RTD the benefit of the doubt hoping he will come up with it next series
It doesn’t bother me that she’s leaving Doctor Who. The finale part 2, that bothered me, they never explain why it was always snowing.
Even a casual viewer surely got frustrated that The Remembered TARDIS didn't have any metal on board. That was nonsense. I mean that was how they used the extra ten minutes?
I would say i'm a casual-ish viewer. I didn't know what a memory tardis was and I did not know who Sutekh was, but I do watch some reviews and such ( so you judge) but that scene was one of my favourites of the whole episode. I showed not only the lost of humanity but the lost of "memory" and therefore in the legend of life in time.
While they claim in the last episode that rubys dad was some teenager they also made it clear her mum was abused by her dad, and when they did a dna search they only found her mum, because her father/grandfather was dead. It fully explaims why she thinks the doctor she meets is normal.
This video finally gives some neckline - I feel seen after my last compliment and request haha! Yes you do great work, but this guy from Oz can't shake his crush on you sorry haha. Thank you for the chest view, keep up the great work!
Hope the daleks will be in season 2
Russel may be a good writer on certain things. But for Doctor who he is not compatible unless he has oversight. You never go full Russel.
Consistently poor viewing figures though. The episodes used to get 2 -3 times more. The plot line and the writing were awful. I hope Moffat can do better. The most popular episode this season was the one that Ncuti Gatwa wasn't in?
Jodie's finale 2021 3.71 million. Season 12 , 4.69 million, Season 11 5.32 million. It's sad to see a once loved show dying a slow death.
The Giggle got 7.91 million.
Just happy to see this post. If this is your part time job, I am curious what will be your income during the break between now and Christmas.
And what will he do after the show is cancelled in the next year or two?
@@user-hl1ex6py8l My theory is that he's so good at this and so timely and on top of producing good quality content that if that unfortunate result happens, he'll be done with Uni and have already leveraged this into some other pursuit in this category that will stay him well. Plus, he's also suggested an interest in other Sci-Fi like Star Wars and so he should find it fairly easy to do a successful pivot. Frankly, I'd love to see him do content in other IP that I enjoy.

Would be cool if one of Ruby's parents made a deal with the trickster maybe at a young age before Ruby was born and yh that's my thought of the day.
What bugs me from the episode is that the Memory Tardis is made up of memories about all Tardis’ from all over time.
And now there is definitely memory of Sutekh wrapped around the Tardis…
Here’s hoping nobody manages to take it for another joy ride in the future…
Dobson confirmed in Radio times interview series 2 we find out who Mrs Flood really is.
the way she worded the interview "We are on series 2 at the moment" It suggests she's back for series 3. Add this into her comments at the end have they confirmed he's a 3 series Doctor? But also I think we just saw the biggest reset ever not even knowing about it.
All the planets/Characters etc lost over the years can be brough back saying it must have been the effect of Taking God Dog for a Walk in the Vortex. RTD needed a get out of Jail card and he's made one. You know that's how the Master is coming back.
The Neilson figures which show the Disney plus top 10 have not had Dr Who in them.
Given how Disney are trying to stop the losses dont be shocked if we find out that deal is over after series 2. I still feel a deal with Netflix or Paramount would have worked better
Finally a Dr Who/Star trek crossover actually on screen. You know us nerds would combust
Mrs Flood please!!
we actually dont know anything about ruby's father. thats the point, all that is to be a big reveal i think. Plus her family is now both mum's step and real. i am a good fan but i was underwelmed at the fimale. i expect a great final from the massive build up that lead to very little. we know not much more than we did at the very first episode of ruby road. why would her mother wear a full cloak in a normal snowy street on that fateful night, and how could she ponit towards the doctor when she has no idea as a 15 year old child wearing a cloak who or what he is. i dont think that was her mother in the cloak.
I am a hardcore fan. I thought the finale was mediocre. I liked what they had Mel doing. I liked the part with Ruby meeting her birth-mom. I like Ruby and The Doctor’s goodbye.
Everything else was underwhelming. Mrs Flood breaking the 4th wall is starting to bother me.
Ruby *has* to come back on season 2. Those tablets (tripads?) on the back row of UNIT HQ aren't going to tap themselves. Well, hopefully. This is Doctor Who, next thing we know the tablets are trying to take over the world.
I saw somewhere that millie's back for three(?) episodes. As for why, hasn't she been filming something else? Might that have been at least part of the reason fir the Ruby-light season?
Just thinking about it did doctor who kill 2 people in the last ep ??
Wallace and grommet comes out in 2025 at Christmas
It's coming out christmas 2024
Is this where Bad Wolf came from?
did you see the latest on doctor who tv they plan on bringing matt smith back as the 16th doctor. I guess the shows ratings are so bad that they have to bring back a fan favorite. while they are at it they should find a way to bring back riversong and the ponds as the show won't recover from the last 2 doctors. Its too little to late for most fans
Here's a thought reclaimation of Rey's no one.... The snow is Mrs Flood how or why i don't know.
Xmas cant wait new wallace and gromit.
I would consider myself a fan (not an obsessive one, but also not a casual one either), and honestly, I thought the finale was quite nice. The biggest problem with it in my opinion was the "dramatic" in crease in stakes, which didn't really matter as much. However, it didn't feel as dramatic to me because I didn't really care about Sutekh to begin with: I missed on a lot of classic episodes, so the big reveal in the prior episode and the episode as a whole felt a bit underwhelming to me. The way they presented the resolution in the finale though felt satisfying. Especially this whole idea with Ruby and her mom being just regular people and how one random person turned out to be the most important one in spacetime. The dialogues, the presentation and the resolution in general felt heartwarming. If this is the case with many other fans, I would suspect this to be the reason: obsessive fans tend to... obsess a bit too much and this becomes the reason for disappointments.
Wait Wait Wait handsome. Haven't we seen Varada Sethu in a episode as Mundy Flynn, so she's going to be playing someone else?
The future of the show. WHAT FUTURE. ? theirs more chance thst Gawta will keep his mouth shut
