Some people never learn and will do the exact same thing expecting different results everytime, Steven is absolutely correct when he spoke on using the big head instead of the little head because that little head will lead you to your death, it's never good to be too anxious for anything because it can lead to disappointment

After walking the strip, hitting a bar or two and playing some craps, he commented something like " This place is amazing, but s!@#, I can feel the greed- the whole f-ing place just wants my money- it's a kind of evil." Loved hearing him say that. I told him that's why we never came here when you were a kid.

I had a van and cruised Bolder Highway near Lowe's. I had spotted a woman who obviously was there for business as that area is pretty skech. She seemed out of place, pretty face with how dark it was. 2x I drove past, she slunk back into the shadows I am worried its a undercover or something. I decided to make one more pass, I had the window down and pull over, without hesitation, she jumps in my van. Now I know she ain't a cop. She has an arrangement with a nearby no tell motel. Gets the keys no hesitation, we get in the room, she goes in the bathroom to get ready. I take my clothes off, she comes out with T-shirt on. Okay, off the T. She hesitates. Hmm....worried now, as maybe she is packing something longer than my extension.... I start to reach for my clothes. Okay, she says, its your money and she removes the T. Uhhhh echhhh wtf....... about to lose breakfast and lunch. WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU??? She says, I used to be 500 lb and then discovered crack and so had 150 lb of loose skin folds. OMG. At this point, my pecker had retreated inside me and ain't coming out. Fuk that.

I feel safer in Oakland, Cal than I do in Vegas and I lived in the Bay Area for over 35 years and I have been in Las Vegas for over 13 years now so I have a lot of the experience!! Dumbest thing I did in Vegas. On my first visit in 1980 I decided to walk from the strip to Fremont St at night. Did not realize it was sketchy nor the distance involved. Amazed I was not robbed and definitely took the bus back. Have always avoided "friendly" strangers and always try to be situational aware of my surroundings.

1980? Might have been a different time then. I lived and worked downtown from 2012-2020. Some nights / early mornings I walked from the D to downtown by the Strat, sometimes further to get my car (my g/f had our car) and never had any problem. Ever. Not the safest thing to do, but again, no problem.

I made that walk a couple times in 2017. Its actually kind of interesting. You walk by pawn shops, wedding chapels, that crazy smoky place that smells like its on fire, a bunch of crappy motels, sex shops/peep show places, a nasty strip club and tons of people down on their luck asking for money. If I had a teenager kid with me when I'm in Vegas I would take them on that walk to show them how drugs and alcohol can screw up your life. I have done it after midnight which is better than in the day because its so hot. Its bad but most of those people would not be hard to fight off. Its a long walk from Freemont to the main strip area - and it will probably take 2 hours with all the lights.
