Buddy, these youtube videos you make could be hour long each, and I'd still watch. Trust me.
Thanks Damien. It's definitely something I'm keen to explore. Just need a few more people involved to make it a bit like a TV program.
That rainbow shot, dang dude!
excellent vlog as usual.might just do your course.
your enthusiasm is infectious.cheers.very enjoyable
Great attitude mate, very inclusive and interesting. Thanks for taking the time to put these videos together.
Another amazing video as usual! Congrats on creating the class, I'm definitely going to go check it out. I agree it's a great way to go more in depth without workshop costs!
Fantastic as always Adam. Some great motivators in there. Also considering the masterclass.
I love your tutorials... you've taught me so much and helped my hobby of photography grow into a passion. Thanks
what a fantastic waterfall shot with the rainbow, i love that shot Adam.
Thanks buddy.
I'm glad I stumbled upon your channel. I'm at the very earliest stages of being an amateur and have so much to learn. Took what I think are some not bad waterfall images here in Scotland for my first attempt at the weekend there but I'm packing in loads of videos like this to learn and head back out again at the weekend.
dedication, passion, insight and hard slog all come together just beautifully; thank you for sharing.
Wonderful! Thank you for sharing such passion! Cheers
I really enjoy that you notice the little moments like those deer. It’s those moments that make outings special.
Very nice video Adam! I love that you always tell stories through your photos. You were the first person that I was able to watch and see the progression of not only the landscape throughout a day but how your mood towards it changed as well. I'm very excited about the masterclass for this reason and as soon as I'm able, I will be purchasing it. Thank you for the knowledge and the inspiration week after week.
Thanks Justin. I appreciate that. Really glad you enjoy the content.
Congrats on the release of your masterclass Adam! Hope it's a big success for you and those who go on the journey.
Thanks Larry. I'm really proud of it.
Adam, congratulations on the development of your new content. Will definitely look to purchase it in the next few weeks as the synopsis looks great
Thanks mate. Your long term and continued support means an awful lot.
Great video! A well delivered, informative video. Living in London has got me thirsting for waterfalls!!!
Very well put together, I really enjoy watching what you produce. As a photographer I mostly focus on human interest and action, military stuff (USAF), but have come to admire landscape and time-lapse very much. Keep up the great work, it's inspiring!
Another wonderful video! Thanks!
Adam, as ever a great vlog. Will definitely have a look at the Masterclass, especially ahead of my trip to the Highlands in June. For someone stuck in London you are inspirational and make me want to get out there. Great stuff and as someone else said when is next Photo Nerds!...missed the words at the end.
Adam, great images, I adore waterfalls and now will start my season here in New England too. Very nice and inspirational video ....
Beautiful captures Adam! Thank you for sharing the video and pictures with us.👍😎JP
Fantastic images from the waterfalls and especially that lone tree. 👍👍
That image of the waterfall with the rainbows is a total keeper Adam!
Great video Adam I must say your vlogs lately are really chilled out and have gone to another level ! 👍
Ha. Thanks buddy
So excited to find your channel, I am a brand new photographer just out grown pro mode on a smartphone. Am getting a dslr for my birthday and have booked a 3 day trip to Goathland to try out my skills.
Love this! Great tipps!
Adam, thanks so much for sharing your perspective on waterfall photography. Your insights are consistently spot on. As has been commented already, the rainbow image was beautiful. 👍 I look forward to enrolling in your masterclass this week, with the eventual goal of joining you on a future workshop. Thanks again, mate.
Ah thanks Edwin. Amazing comment. I look forward to meeting you.
Rainbow image is a portfolio enhancer for sure! Stunning. And I agree that waterfalls need to be part of a bigger landscape image and not always the focal point. The long exposure/creamy water image is so overdone.
That is a great image Adam! When I read the title, 'Pitfalls and Problems when Photographing Waterfalls' it reminded me of my visit to the Fairy Pools of Scotland last year. I was crossing a bog to reframe my shot of a waterfall and stepped thigh deep into the mud. Luckily my camera was covered by a Sea to Summit waterproof dry bag because it went full-on splat into the mud. It ended up being one of my favorite images (and stories) of that trip. Looking forward to watching your new tutorials.
Another winner vid Adam!
Nice one Adam. Can’t say I have ever got a great waterfall shot yet so inspired to keep trying.
Thanks Adam found that really interesting as I do like shooting waterfalls I just wish I had watched this before visiting a few local falls today. Sound advice taken onboard hopefully I can put into practice. 💪.
fantastic video!! incredible photo at the end
I absolutely cannot wait for the whole Photography Tips Video, and as a 12 Year Old Amateur Photographer I hope to incorporate some of you tips into my photos.
Thank you, and keep up the astounding work and/or videos
Thanks my friend. Really glad you're enjoying the videos.
Loved it Adam, well done mate,
Great vid! The rainbow in the waterfall was a brilliant shot!
Rainbow and waterfall are on point! Great shot!
Good work Adam and best off wishes with the master class.
Thanks mate
Absolutely Fantastic and heartwarming video Adam. Thanks for sharing your love and dedication for not only Landscape Photography but for your passion for helping photographers worldwide. Btw looking forward to the next Photography Nerds video.
Nice first.
Very good job that is done!
Great video and stunning images 👌
Great video and nice shot with the rainbow!
Ignore UA-cam pushing you towards short videos. Continue to produce exceptional videos like this and you'll conquer the world.
Lol. Thanks.
You'll 'conquer the world'? Ffs..
Wow! That rainbow shot 🌈 beautiful! X
Thanks Hayley, very kind.
Always enjoy your videos man
Nice sunset image and rainbow waterfalls Adam well done .. will check out your classes and see what the score is with them ...
Absolutely love that shot with the rainbow(s)! Just lovely! I definitely have a soft spot for waterfalls, but my oh my do I hate the constant spray that comes off the larger ones! An annoying constant wet mist, and all over the lens ruining half the shots!
Ha yeah. Its definitely a wipe the lens whilst the 2 second timer runs scenario.
I never thought of it like that before.. 👍🏽👍🏽
Nice video. What microphone do you use around the water to keep the background noise low?
Ohhh wowww amazing photo
Good luck with your instructional videos Adam I am sure you have put a lot of work into it.
Thanks Wayne. Yeah, it's been unbelievable but I am really proud of the final product.
love the rainbow image buddy
In my experience, waterfall photography looks best in overcast conditions. That dull grey light makes adding a bit cooler tone to the image a lot easier and it looks much more ethereal. Sunlight introduces shadows, which introduces chaos to an already busy scene. That being said, your image at 5:40 is stunning
I stopped photographing landscapes, I got in a real rut with it. Just kept reverting to long exposures and it became boring to me, I will return when I feel I can do something that relights the passion.
dear i want buy dslr plz tell me what model i buy and lens range
thanks
Great video
Love the lone tree shot Adam. Right up my strasse...
Ha. There's loads up there. You'd love it. There's always the September tour??!!.....😜
@@Firstmanphotography It sounds really cool but the dates not great for me....been warned for CC!
Fab rainbow image Adam
This is uncanny, I was "attempting" to take waterfall photos today, so i`m going to watch this!
Purchased the masterclass😊👍🏻
That's awesome, thanks Mike. Enjoy.
Hi, I'm a new subscriber and enjoy your obvious enjoyment of photography.
Thanks buddy. Appreciate you subscribing.
Adam
Beautiful photos; can you mention the name of the locations again please?
Love your work. Where do you get the music to your videos?
Thanks. Its a guy called Dan Phillipson. I get from Premium Beat.
Jesus that was a lightning fast reply @@Firstmanphotography . Thank you very much. Keep up your amazing work!
I'm in man.
I only wish I could afford the asking price,... I'm in no doubt at all, to its worth, after following you for quite some time now, One comes to see the potential in your Releases.
So, I'm going to have to wait a year or two before it comes down in price. On another topic,.. What about Podcasts?
You should get the Peak Design clip so you can carry your camera on your shoulder strap and get a shot like the deer. What happened to the Photo Nerds Podcast? Been a month since the last one?
Can we buy the masterclass in the US? Thank you!
Yes. No problem at all.
If you like waterfalls take trip diwn to pistyll rhaeadr waterfall its amazing to see
Why is everyone using long exposure for water ? Both look good I think. Capturing water in time and using longer shutter times
"Why are you starting a fire?"
-"Its to catch the light encase the clouds blow away"
HAHHAHA Very lucky there man! Great shot!
Lol. Thanks. Glad you liked the shot.
Are you using a 70-200 f/4? I've been debating between the Canon L 70-200 f2.8iii and the f4 ii
Yes....it's the 70-200 f4 without IS. It the lightest weight and still has great image quality. I dont need IS and f2,8 for landscape photography. I use the 70-200f2.8 II IS for weddings and it's undoubtedly my favourite piece of glass. Way too heavy to be trekking around for landscape photography though.
@@Firstmanphotography Thanks for the reply. I will mostly be using the lens for traveling and for my kids sports. Heading to Ireland in a few months for a 2 week holiday and I'm wanting to pick up one of the 70-200 but I'm unable to make up my mind
f4 at that focal length still gets some nice blurred background. Bump your shutter speed up and you dont need IS either. IS does help a lot with tracking subjects though such as your kids running or birds in flight etc.
Just FYI, I went through the same debate and ended up splitting the difference in cost by purchasing the Tamron SP 70-200mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2 Lens. It is fantastic.
Michael Hockmuller my biggest debate is the extra weight worth the extra stop. I travel to several places for work and I like to take my camera with me during some of the travels
You must have to find ways to make money. I don’t want to be a pro no more because of all this excites stress. Much nicer just taking photos and enjoying it. Love the rainbow shot Adam really nice.
Really good video, for waterfalls you need to have a look at Adam Gibbs ... he have found a way to make it work.
Wow you’ve lost weight Adam, which was your plan. Well done you!
nothing to read at the end ... :-( but a good video still, thanks!
tony cave digger go to slits wood westgate durham you do the best videos
Landscape photography with cake. Now your talking!
Hi Adam
Could you please tell me how to photography moving water while maintaining the natural look without it being misty, I’m not a fan of that look? Love the photo with the rainbow, beautiful!
Thanks 👏🏻
Triple 9 HQ fast shutter
Is the answer “spray”? I bet it’s spray.
Lol. No. For that I go.......spray....wipe.....manual focus......wipe.......keep covered......2 second timer.....remove wipe at the last moment.
First Man Photography my favourite is the dramatic spin and shoot. Focus, turn away, wipe lens/filter, breathe, turn, plant tripod, compose, shutter release.
Looks bizarre.
Reckon that would be fine if you stick a little music on first.
First Man Photography Blue Danube Waltz or maybe the loud bit of the Bond theme should do it 🤔
Kitsch as kitsch can kitsch: "silky, smooth" water and rainbows in waterfalls. Oh please! Let's not debate about taste, but I'd advise everyone to study paintings. There ARE actually some with silky, smooth water, and of course with rainbows. They are from either amateurs who can't be bothered to meticulously paint water. Or from those people, whose prints are sold to people, whose motto is: "Well, I don't know anything about art, but I know what I like". -- Ok, nobody said landscape photography should be art. Photography is basically a craftsmanship. But please stop the promotion of kitsch and bad, cheesy taste! Thank you very much in advance.
