Great behind the scenes intro on this! There's definitely a ton of work that goes into a good waterfall / woodland photo that I definitely overlooked before trying. That's a stunning scene! Excellent videography work too!

Question. When using the square filters how do you rotate the polarized filter to get the result you want and line up the graduated filter at the same time?
That is a great question. This particular filter holder does not split the two filter inserts so that you can rotate the filters free from one another. The spilt grad would dictate what intensity the polarizer is applying to the image (or vice versa) . One solution I've done is to manually hold the split grad in front of the angled polarizer so that both are in a position I am happy with. I rarely take it to this level of control. I've also taken multiple exposures slowly rotating and getting the best shot to then layer in post. I hope that makes sense. Let me know if you have more questions.
@@MattShannonPhoto Thanks Matt, I was just curious. I only have circular polarized filters and have been using Lightroom to apply a graduated filter if needed. I also have the Nikon 14-24 and have yet to get a filter for it and am looking at my choices. Mike Robinson
The Nikkor 14-24 is such an amazing lens, I love it, but that is it's main weakness. I finally got a mounting ring for my 14-24 from LEE Filters. It is their SW150 ring and mount to fit their 150mm square filters. Its pricy to make the jump, but I love that wide angle when I need it. Before that I used circular for my 24-70 which worked fine. What Nikon Camera body are you shooting with?
@@MattShannonPhoto Hi I have a D850 and am still trying to learn how to use all of its many features. I recently purchased a newer 105 macro and am trying the automatic focus stacking feature. My first try wasn’t successful. The black flies were out so that didn’t help.🙂
