First off, seems you upgraded your camera gear. 👌👍👍👍
Secondly; as much as I would like for Nigeria to move with the 5g trend, I don't think we're fully there with 4g. My friends in Europe and America get atleast 100-200mbps on their 4g while I get 18-45mbps on average. I think the best 4g I've experienced so far was at MMA2 Ikeja 80-100mbps
I'll make more comments as I process with the video

Remember that your phone’s modem affects how fast your internet can get. More modern modems (pun intended) like the kind included on this 5G router will get you much better 4G speeds. Fisayo managed to get over 200mbps on 4G as well and I’ve seen others get that too.
Heck, I myself have gotten 170mbps a few times on 4G.

    • @FisayoFosudo

I agree with you, we are not there yet with 4g, the highest speed I have gotten here in Abuja Is 20mbs. although internet speed is influenced by a lot of factors, like location, the modem in your mobile device and many more. But I still think a lot of work needs to be done on 4g, and I just hope all attention won’t be shifted to 5g while 4g suffers.

I can see that your studio setup has been revamped, and the clarity of your audio is commendable. Personally, I'm not thrilled by the 5G rollout given that this was the same gimmick used to market the 4G but see the current 4G speed, it's terrible in most locations across Nigeria. Do well to test the speed of 5G in about a year from now and see how comparable it will be with 'real 4G' speed as specified.

Hello, in Poland, 4G is actually bottlenecked with 5G coverage upgrades due to frequency limitations. As frequency permits are not being put on auction by the government for a long time, 4G bands are used for 5G coverage, and that limits the 4G a bit. At the same time, also 5G is not fully utilized as we lack some bands that can be used there. 3G is disabled entirely (country-wide) by some carriers in order to put 5G in its place. Phones that are not using 4G or 5G fallback to 2G (really bad call quality, not to speak about the internet connectivity). In a nutshell, 5G upgrades may impact "lower Gs".

    Hi Fisayo
Being the lead UX designer for two remote companies in America, and one of the top FIFA players in Nigeria, I got myself the MTN 5G Router. Although, I'm a bit confused by the fact that there's a rounded (cylinderical) 5G router with a black WPS button, well labelled icons describing the major things we need to know, then I see your video and yours is more rectangular in shape, it's also what MTN displays on their site.
My concern here is, why are there two types of this 5G router and why is no one talking about the rounded (cylindrical) shape type that I got.

I think you left out a crucial detail about connection over wifi.. if someone's device doesnt support wifi 6 standard, they will not be able to enjoy any of these speeds even if they are right next to the router. So they will be limited to a max of about 150Mbps no where close to the 500+ figures... If more people dont know this, they might end up purchasing it and be disappointed. For pc, you can just connect a LAN cable focus but most people dont use their laptops close to the routers also..

They can reduce the speed to just to promote the 5g. Look at DStv they reduce the station in some packages yet increase the price. remember they are both South Africa companies if am not wrong so nothing is new about whatever they do anymore. Actually only few people use 5g phones presently and they should improve their 4g network which they reduced purposely to market this 5g

The price of the 5G router is quite on the high side. I hope other competitors will crash the price cos everything MTN introduces always comes to Nigerians as a premium.
Most importantly, Nigerians did not enjoy the full speed of the 4G Spectrum in most cities not to talk of in the hinterlands, even at midnight, what makes you think that we are going to enjoy the full speed of the 5G Spectrum?
When most cities in Nigeria are connected, your guess will be as good as mine. 4G and 5G Spectrum in Nigeria is mostly for corporate enterprises like Banks and Oil and gas firms, who are willing and able to pay for the Ultra high speed that 5G spectrum provides.

I do not agree that the router is expensive! Try doing a search for the unlocked version of the router and you'd realize MTN has heavily subsidized it.
Even if you don't have 5G where you live, I believe this is worth buying considering 4G is even better with this router.
