- NICOLA Sturgeon has refused to say her husband Peter Murrell is innocent as she was grilled over the SNP cash probe.
The former First Minister has repeatedly insisted that she has done nothing wrong amid the police investigation.
Mr Murrell was arrested in April as part of the police's SNP finances probe, and Ms Sturgeon was arrested earlier this month.
Asked if her husband - the former SNP chief executive - was also innocent, she told reporters: "Look, I - and before I say what I'm about to say - I'm saying it as a statement of fact, not a loaded statement that you should read anything into one way or the other.

Why do none of them ask her the obvious question? Where is the £600,000? It cannot be contempt of court for her to answer a question of fact like that. If she could give a reasonable explanation of where the money went then that would be the end of it one way or another. And if she doesn't know where the money went (or at least if that's the case she wants to argue), then she should tell us that. Simply refusing to say anything about the subject is what makes the whole thing look incredibly murky. The two facts - that the money is missing and that she claims she did nothing wrong - don't make any sense together unless she explains where the money went. In short, the only way she will look as innocent as she claims to be is if she tells us who is guilty...
