Hi Borut Such a fantastic channel you have really put a lot of work into it and it shows.Thank you 🤘 Quick question if I may. When varnishing a plate or tin can I use my RC paper dryer which basically is a wire shelf in a open ended box with a warm fan to heat. Or do I only use an open flame ? Any advice would really be helpful as I’m gathering information for doing my first plate. Thank you Michael
Hello. I am a Korean subscriber. It's really mysterious that over time you can see someone's work and daily life on the other side of the globe. You seem to be the master of photography. I am still a college student, but I want to grow up and be a great person like you. i Respect you.
You are a handsome man Borut - you do not seem to embarrassed about appearing naked, I would be hiding behind the trees not posing beside them :-) you are an inspiration to many, look out for the ants :-)
Ha, the last time I've done nude photography or a self-portrait project was in 1998, at the Famu Academy. I'm on the photo, because I want to work and experience the nature alone in kind of meditive state. I'm nude, because I didn't had any other ideas how to make it timeless, to reduce the information away from the egoistic self, which fashion is based upon. My self portraits aren't about how I look, I have 5 kilograms too much and I'm 45 years old. As you see my work is very different from the usual motif of a nude lady in a beautiful forest.
@@BorutPeterlinPhotography Well worth the triple effort then because the idea works really well. There is something about your pose, especially the sun shining through your hair that is excellent! I think it's the strong positioning of your legs and arms that I like particularly.
So amazing!! Especially your self timer!! If it isn't any trouble, I would love to know how you made it/what device you are using to release your makeshift shutter :)
Love the plate, where you lean on the tree the most - very intimate. Amazing how much energy you put into your videos and it is all worth it!! Very Well done!
Hi Borut. Seems you had a prolific day, shooting as many plates as you did. I think you found the rhythm in nature while integrating your camera/processes and your subject/self. I think bare feet can make one feel more grounded on this plane and more connected to Creation. Do you feel you are more connected to this body of work regardless of being the subject in the environmental portrait? Some images seem reminiscent of one of my favorites, Wynn Bullock's work. I appreciate your ability to maintain focus on your still photography while videoing, editing and sharing content. I find it can distract from my focus/vision at times when I bring both a 6x17 and 4x5 or color and B&W film emulsions. Good choice on the selection and volume of accompanying music. Thanks for continuing to provide great content. Peace!
Thanks. I've been in the woodlands for five days. I was running low on batteries, so I was saving batteries. Barefoot is a great way to be. I used to run barefoot through a forest and all the cuts and bruises I consider as a free acupuncture, he, he... Yes, for me and for you, it does make a stronger connection to the ground.
Oh, video recording is a huge distraction, but I've changed my perception what am I doing there, so I'm not goal driven to make a photo, I'm there to experience everything. Video is part of my work. It takes a lot of time, but it's peaceful and graceful time, so I enjoy it.
Fantastic Borut! You are topshit for sure, love it all, the mood, the video, the effort, the result...and your dog :-) What breed is it? Anyway, just wanted to say wonderful!
Hi Borut. What a wonderful and deeply personal project. I enjoyed this video very much indeed. One question, if I may: what is the liquid in the yellow bottle you use as a last step to cleaning the glass? I've sometimes had trouble getting (commercially bought) emulsion to stick reliably. I normally use alcohol but perhaps what you use might be better?
If you mean the yellow bottle, it's the cheapest dish detergent. Oh the sevond yellow bottle is denatured alcohol. Try beating one egg white in 300ml of water, then add 700ml and filter it three times through a cotton ball. Coat the clean glass with a brush or cotton ball. Subb either only edges or the whole plate. Collodion layer will stick after that, no doubt.
Just discovered your channel, truly impressive man! Was all the footage was taken the same day? I can't imagine how much work it is to plan a day like this!

I'm avoiding open flame due to the flammable alcohol in the varnish. I use electric grill and your RC dryer sounds just as good.
Beautiful , a man after my own heart .A human form in nature ,blending seamlessly with nature .One man at home .

Enjoy where you are and who you are, even if it might not be "enjoyable" and you'll become a real master.
Amazing work, fun and beautiful throughtout the whole channel. What an energy. Congratulations.
Another great video Borut!!
Looking forward seeing your series growing!
It sure is hot this summer. Your work really emphasizes the climate conditions we live in!

Wonderful work Borut. I appreciate the effort it takes to do this work.
Passion and beauty is life and therefore not work at all. Be well my friend!
So much beauty!

Fantastic work. As always.
Thanks for sharing, very inspirational! Funny lesson learned in the first few minutes, chasing your tail brings you down to earth :-)
That intro was absolutely fantastic. Thanks so much for sharing and doing what you do. It helps me become a better person.
Wonderful plates Borut, my favourite is the one where you are lifting/placing the rock.
Thank you James! That one was the first one I tried and had to repeat three times to make it good.

Everything I can say is: WOW! Stunning work, not only your Wetplates. Your vlogs become better and better!
Thank you for noticing, I wasn't aware that is so. I have just started, it's going really intuitively and naturally.
So amazing!! Especially your self timer!! If it isn't any trouble, I would love to know how you made it/what device you are using to release your makeshift shutter :)
I've made a vlog about it. Try keyword guillotine shutter
Thank you
Love it great work. I hope to see you soon.

Thank you, it's easy and enjoyable after you take it as a meditation and a joyride not an obligation.
@@BorutPeterlinPhotography I totally agree! Looking forward to your next video!

Oh, thank you Indra! Yes, it's a life changing work, I'm glad you see it and enjoy it. My dog is black German Shepherd - working line. It's a she.
Nice Wang
Great body of work you’re acquiring for this project. Was cleaning the glass on-site a function of practicality or self imposed ritual?

Top shit video, bravo!
So it turns out that Bigfoot isn’t as hairy as we were led to believe.
No, Bigfoot is very hairy and very big. He is my DOP (director of photography)
The weather is finally warming up here. I am tired and need a Nap. 💤
I used the exact same music in a video of mine....I knew I recognised it haha. This is obviously way better than any of mine though :p
literally suffered for his art with those ants))
You should see the suffering of the ants. My bum gass them all!
Stunning work m8 :-)
