Nice, as appreciation to how technology evolved I’m buying a spring reverb vst 😂 can’t imagine what my reaction would be if I go home with a real spring reverb. 😂

Hi! Is it possible to adjust the reverb time manually, without the remote? I am about to buy a BX20E, but it comes without the remote, so I wonder if I would be able to use the reverb effectively without it? Thanks in advance.

Hi, sadly it is not. However, you can find diagrams online to build the remote, or pick up 3rd party ones by searching online. Really simple unit, just a couple of pots and resistors. Good luck, your going to love it.

… The manual (available online) contains the wiring diagram and I checked mine this morning as by chance I have spent the morning calibrating it. It is literally two pots, two resistors and a bulb. 5 PIN XLR (male) on the end of the cable. Should be an easy job to mock up and sling in a project box for a competent tech.

Sweet demo ……. What does the “E” at the end of BX20 stand for? What’s the difference with the non-E?

As far as I can see there’s no BX20 as that’s a UA plugin. Not sure what the E means!

@@DanBakerMusic i got this from Gearslutz: "Basically, for the E version, the electronics panel on the door was redesigned for better fidelity, lower noise in 1974 or so".

As ever, enlightening and insightful. Call me naive, but I often wondered where the term “plate” came from!🤯 Great work Dan! Whatever this cost you, it’s probably doubled in price since your posting.🤣 Then again it would probably be easier to find “rocking horse droppings”
