@Misc-vr7el where do you live that's more affordable? Of course, everything is perspective. People pay over $1m for an old 800 sq ft house in the Bay Area, then come here & can get a 3000-4000 sq ft house with pool in a nice suburb. If Cali didn't have higher price markets feeding our Sac Metro Area our prices wouldn't have gone so high. There was a time not that long ago we could get these homes in the $700ks 😊
@@livinginsacramentosuburbs I'm still in the Bay Area. So it's all the same. But when I growing up, people would move to Sacramento (Elk grove, Eldorodo, Roseville, etc) for affordability. I remember houses in elk grove going for about 350k-500k. But now a days everything is inching closer and closer to 1M, which the Bay Area can command, due to location. Sacramento? Not so much, in my opinion. Good video regardless!
@Misc-vr7el Yep, it's not for everyone. Families looking for great public schools, a neighborhood their kids can go out, and a house 3 times the size of what they are living in brand new, move for the lifestyle it provides them. Most of them bring their Bay Area pay with them, making it a no brainer. And we do still have more affordable homes in the $600-700ks. So if you ever change your mind on that Bay Area lifestyle, give us a call ;)
Sacramento is going to be like Bay area with all those overpriced home. sacramento average salary is very low compare to bay area. Thyey are mostly governments workers. We can only blame the bay area people.
@MsVanna24 It varies, but a large portion of the buyers would be relocating from higher price markets like Bay Area & So Cal. Some come with high paying remote jobs, but many are in healthcare & get paid well here. Also keep in mind that if locals already own a home with equity, they can roll it to these new home which helps them be more affordable. We have lots of content on our channel for more affordable houses, so make sure you check out our Roseville playlist & don't hesitate to reach out for guidance so we can help you take advantage of amazing incentives we are getting clients. Interest rate buy downs can make home much more affordable!
@barbarabaileygiovacchini1178 yes, it's definitely a nice to have on these big homes to save on utilities. Many of these builders offer extra insulation options too!
@@livinginsacramentosuburbs haha i did not mention cost of living. If your inferring to cost of house its nothing more then greed to ask that kind of price for a house
These are very much not the standard house prices for the Sac area. You can still get new homes in the $400-600k range in areas like Natomas. Of course in that price range you’re looking at 3-4 bedrooms instead of 5-7.
@MarkBraggs definitely didn't say the standard, these are large homes in one of Sacramento's most demanded suburbs. They are definitely not the average price point of Sacramento. You would be surprised, but even in Natomas it's hard to come by smaller New Homes under $550k & even most resales are over $500k and are much smaller. The entire Sacramento region has increased significantly the last few years.

Just the type of plans! Prep butler kitchen.
@barbarabaileygiovacchini1178 definitely one of our favorite builder features!
the oven in the first house just ruins the kitchen
@queen6574 what don't you like about it? The one under the cooktop or the wall unit with microwave?
$1.2M for a home in Sacramento? Couldn't be me!

Who’s buying these homes? I always wonder because they keep building but the prices are so high for a lot of families

A quality homes squeezed like sardines for about a million, no thanks.
@romangrom6853 California living 😉 I wish there were more space between houses, but that's rare, land is the hot commodity!
