I’ve had the V3 for 2 years. Love it. Great company. Bought the X5, played 5 rounds with it. Unfortunately I’m not very happy with the X5 performance or experience. I’m switching back to the X5. Hopefully they will fix the usability issues with firmware updates before too long Interestingly, watching your interaction with the touch screen, is nothing like mine. I have the latest firmware. Mine is extremely laggy, overly sensitive, and imprecise. And has significant issues recording putts, recognizing the green, and many other problems . Maybe I got a bad device. I’m in contact with ShotScope. They’re a great company and I’m sure will get it resolved
I agree. I had the V3 and couldn't fault it but perhaps that's down to the fact it had gone through all its teething issues. I don't mind the usability I think there has already been improvements to it which I like. Only time will tell. Thanks for dropping by my friend 🙌
I bought the X5 from watching many videos and I hate mine as it will not Record my second shot with the same club, say like a wedge and if I come up short and I will use the same club to chip the ball on the green, happens many times a round as I live in Kansas and the wind blows hard and will knock your ball down so you end up short of green a few times and I hate walking back to the cart to get a different club just for a small chip shot. I wish I bought the NEW Game GOLF 3rd edition as I had the other 2 and they worked perfectly!!!! I would save my money and not purchase a Shot Scope X5!! Look towards other products !!
Thanks for sharing your feedback. Always welcome here my friend. Im gutted you have had issues. I loved the V3 and after numerous updates they have done I like the x5 now. I have to say I don't have any loss of shots but I must be one of a few that get lucky. Thanks for dropping by anyway👌
I used the V3 and never had an issue. There was a few issues to start with but after a few updates they seem to have optimized the watch. Thanks for watching 🙌
I have used an Apple Watch and the Golfshot app for a couple of years now. I see a lot of my golfing oldies with Garmin but I think if I needed to change, I would choose the shotscope. They seem to have covered most things you need . Doesn’t seem to help when you try to talk and putt at the same time though 😂😂. Your driver swing is looking great Lewis. 👏👏
@@Mrtee1950 thanks Barrie. Yeah I loved the V3 so to have the x5 with some minor additions is great. So simple to use too. Haha yeah something that they missed is putting assistance🤣 when I make reviews I tend not to worry too much on scores as it's more an after thought In this type of video. Thanks my friend, been working hard on all aspects of my swing🙌
Great watch in the dry... but absolutely useless if the screen get the smallest of droplets of rain on it. The screen goes nuts and basically becomes unusable. For a british company to design a watch that doesn't work out in the rain is utterly astonishing.. I've been left stranded on course without yardages everytime I play in the wet. 🤬😡 Sort it out shotscope.
@@GOLFDAYS My old bushnell and Garmin both work fine in wet weather, To be honest I'm a huge fan of the X5.. My watch has never missed a shot, like others report. The tag system is fantastic.. The stats are amazingly helpful and the yardages are very accurate.... But, I play 90% of my golf in sunny Wales where it pretty much rains every other day!! 😣.. so it's pretty annoying when you pay £250+ on a watch with a touch screen that doesn't work if your fingers slightly damp. If it looks like wet weather I now leave it in the car, it's not fit for purpose. 😔
@@dirtyoffroader2093 yeah the touch screen is what I was targeting more. Anything touch screen is buggered in rain. I'm not sure how you fix that issue. It's not much better here to be honest mate 😅
@@GOLFDAYS 😂 If we didn't play in the rain in the UK.. we'd never play 😂. I hear there's a firmware update released today, which adapts the touch screen sensitivity yet again, so will down load that later. To be honest a third button to unlock/ toggle on the left would have been handy for bad weather. Plus the turn dial unlocks the watch too easily with the cuff of your glove.. and not easily enough with your finger when you need it to 😆

Looks a lot better than the garmin I use which often gets the yardages wrong, finding out today when playing with another member

I hear ya. I had a similar issue too. Having said that I can't think any device they works with water
