Agreed. I feel like they were going with how the food looked than how it actually tasted. Basically the're saying more "blue" looking foods tasted "blue". And the ones that looked less "blue" didn't taste "blue ".

milkey way synesthesia is the connection of different senses, taste and sight can be linked. So tasting colors is synesthesia.

The statement you quote belong to the context of the video, which is that you can't call something colour-flavored because colour can't always determine same flavor. Like even people with synesthesia perceive different color experience on everything. Next time do it blindfolded with different colors and see if they can tell which color each food is! That way they aren't influenced by seeing the color, and can give unbiased answers.

Quick flaw: none of those foods are the color blue. They have blue pigment, which reflects blue light. But in actuality, their absorbed colors are all of the colors except blue.
