Don’t be silly, you have a lot of viewers and Patrons because you work hard and thoughtfully filming and editing videos that are enjoyable, entertaining and authentic representations of sailing life. I appreciate you sharing the highs AND lows of the journey, and always keeping it real. I’ve watched several sailing channels covering long passages, but your series crossing the Pacific is by far the best, in my opinion, because you’ve shared small details like food prep, heat, monotony as well as the changing sea states and sailing conditions. So, well done 👏👏and WE should be thanking YOU for putting it all together so beautifully. Can’t wait for the finale and anchorage at your epic destination. PS congrats on reaching Shellback status!⛵️
Hi friends, you know you are in the middle of now we're, and the birds have no were to rest, except your boat. You should enjoy the company and amusement. Just half to clean your solar panels more often.
I love that the majority of your videos are live interaction and not a ton of "waxing poetic" voice overs. You do a great job of balancing that. Certain other channels take that way too far and it makes it hard to get to know the people. Your dialogue is part of the charm that draws us to you. Keep it up. Thank you!
Your entire trip has been totally groovy, cold and all. Thank you so much for taking me along with you. You both have given more than enough, entertainment, insight, thrills and adventure throughout your voyage. I am most excited about the fact that you are cancer free and was able to in fact take this groovy sailing adventure. I am very happy for you and for your safety and continued healthy. In the end, your weekly posts always keep me happy and entertained, except when you were going through your cancer treatments.
Love your adventure! Keep your heads up. Remember how much fun you are having And those of us having fun tuning in! Always remember this “ you aren’t sitting in a cubicle in an office someplace (like many ppl your age)! Sail ON!
Just a few reasons you two have and deserve your followers; You guys are absolutely genuine, you make us feel that we could be your best friends, you inspire us to get out of our comfort zone and experience an adventure of our own, your positivity in adverse conditions is amazing. Grace you sharing your very personal journey with your health couldn't have been easy and yet you did, giving inspiration and hope to many going through their own health issues. You are brave and Graceful throughout. Bill of course you are amazing, the support and love we see you giving Grace is beautiful to watch, you are a rock an anchor!! Enjoy the week!!!🥂🍻🌏⛵
Just simply an amazing video! You have managed to capture the essence of passagemaking. That was some good wind, good current and outstanding sea state! As you say, champagne sailing!😊👍
You have a great way of vlogging it’s why I became a patreon , besides I love spending my kid’s inheritance 😂I get a little annoyed by all the ads but I’ll watch both because I know ya make money Just keep it real and people will follow. Stay safe happy sailing 🍺
thank you for joining!! Yes ads are annoying for sure, if you watch the early release on patron there will be no ads :) We don't turn on monetization until we put it live on YT.
Congratulations for crossing the equator! I hope you start feeling better Grace. Reminder, do not cover your cough with the hand that’s holding a knife. That made me cringe for a second.
Hey, you should try Navy bug juice. It was kind of an industrial strength unsweetened Coolaid. Came in solid blocks of powder with bugs bunny characters on the foil package. Added to distilled water from the evaporators to replace trace minerals. Similar to gatorade and pink Himalayan salt. Helped to aid in digestion and taste.
Your comments about desalinated water got me thinking as i'm looking to buy a boat soon and on a deep dive to find out the truth about what our bodies need for a healthy life.. Maybe you can try to stock up on mineral and trace element supplements. Hope this helps you. Stay beautiful. xo
Grace I was just thinking about how your story line and content has improved so much. I felt like I was there with you guys. Passage making where one day blends into the next makes filming a challenge. And being sick at sea - I don't know how you filmed at all. I totally agree that doing anything underway is exhausting especially on "smaller" boats.
Grace you are doing a great job, you deserve to take it easy, hey people get sick, nauseous,it happens Don’t beat yourself up, you’re doing great Cdn. Dave. Enjoy
What you did to *deserve* that Chickadoo, was handling unfortunate & scary times with: GRACE, which is your very namesake. The younglings are usually an excellent compass as to who are Good people, & who're shitbirds. The way the little 'fartskinner' on Delos interacts with you, as well as her parents, is proof positive you're the REAL DEAL BABY! Oh & not to be forgotten is *BIG* Bill, who's 'purdy' good also. 🙏🦉 ⛵🌅
Congratulations guys and welcome from a crusty Golden Shellback! Awesome achievement and test of perseverance on a small vessel like Calico and only you two. As for myself, I slept better at night by trusting in Jesus our Lord. Nobody uses Neptunus Rex's name when they swear. There's no power in it.
I've been watching sailing channels for years and your comment about the water maker water being tasteless is the first time I am hearing that. Loved the video of the water rushing by. I get a real feel for what it is like out there. Bothersome birds even way out in the Pacific. I just had a racoon break into my boat and ate all the Pop Tarts & Pringles and of course left a large deposit on the carpet.. Don't know why you don't have more followers, but I've been promoting the both of you to my sailing friends. Keep up the great work. Hope Grace feels better soon.
A lot of folks just don't realize how much grit it takes to do what you two just did. It's easy to watch but to prepare and actually to do it amazing . Well done guys.
Great video Bill and Grace. Congrats for crossing the equator. I guess kind of hard to do the swim after crossing just with the 2 of you. Hoping you didn't feel sick to long Grace. Bill you sure cooked up some tasty looking meals. Grace that Wahoo salad you made up looked delicious. Looking forward to next video and seeing land and hopefully stepping onto it. Stay safe. And yea a lot has happened in the last year with you two. Thankfully all good now .
I'm drawn to your videos and can't pull myself away. There's something so direct and personal about your style, so unpretentious and inviting, just the two of you, with a sweet, simple moment toasting your Equator crossing together.
You're not a Shellback until you've been indoctrinated into the mysteries of the deep before a Court of Neptune and completed the appropriate traditional ceremonious duties. Until that time, still a Slimy Pollywog.
I’ve just completed 2 courses of ACT therapy. Be kind to self - treating yourself as u would someone else. Accept that you not feeling that great & rest. Flexibility to goals. Your videos r loved 🇨🇦🎈
Nice Video, and no major break downs, just one of your sails ripped and the Radar belt probably broke. I think you did good, feeling sorry Grace was under the weather. No doubt you get your reward on some beautiful Islands and I am sure Grace will recover, congrats on crossing the Pacific ! big cheers from Sechelt, BC !!
I’ve always enjoyed watching you two as you get along so well working/sailing alone for long passages. Of course I know that it’s not all peaches & cream cuz you ARE married together 24/7. I love my wife more than anything but 24/7 would drive us nuts. Thank you so much & keep it up.
You have made a great accomplishment and you should be proud of it. I don't want to take anything away from it but... you need to be initiated and accepted by King Neptune before you are a shellback. Just saying. Love your videos.
A young lady on a boat found herself VERY close to a Big ship and I suspected it didn't have the AIS on (till they saw her and turned it on ?) . I upped my patreon for her because I'd like her to have a modern radar with an alarm for boats in a close area ? I think that's possible ? It happened at night and I want her to light up her boat a lot brighter (I suggested like a Christmas tree ! ) Wind Hippie
Hey guys!! Looking good out there!! Man I wish I could be out there with you. Calico Skies looks beautiful. All that hard work you guys did really paid off. Be well my friends!!❤
Hi Bill and Grace. Such a nice video, so beautiful, calm and relaxing. Nice choice of music. I love piano music. Congrats on crossing the equator. Love your videos, one of my favourite You Tube sailing channels. Cheers. 🧡😃
It's unfortunate that you got sick on the passage, but I still think you guys did a great job putting out videos that depicted your experiences, I know I've been entertained. Looking forward to some island exploration in the near future too though!
You’re an amazing team!! If I could afford to be a Patreon member I definitely would!! YT will have to do! I’m sorry you’re so sick Grace. Hopefully you are perfectly fine in RT💞

I haven't had it very often but it's been good when I have.
Maybe a good addition would be a drinking water only tap, which has a remineralization filter in line. Certainly tastes better and better for your health.

Yes! Some of those droning babblefests make me ill. Nobody (at least in our house) wants to know about the memories that each sunset evokes.
thanks for that!

I said it on your Short, and I will say it again, welcome Shellbacks, may King Neptune watch over you.
thank you!
What a beautiful ocean crossing video, so calm and peacefull.
Glad you enjoyed it
For RO water, called dead water, have you looked into remineralization? You can get bottles of the mineral fluid to add drops to your water glass.
Awesome video. So sorry about the sick crew member.....can't wait to see the next one!
Music is on point here, thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Another beautiful video Bill, Grace looks like another beautiful island coming up!
It was!
Congrats to 2 fine examples of a Shellback.

too bad that happened at night!
Miles and miles of gill netting with boats like that one you showed. And the crew are indentured some of the time.

Thank you!
Love it when you look in every direction and all you see is sea ..😂. Stay safe ..

Hi Bill and Grace. Such a nice video, so beautiful, calm and relaxing. Nice choice of music. I love piano music. Congrats on crossing the equator. Love your videos, one of my favourite You Tube sailing channels. Cheers. 🧡😃

You can get remineralising filters for RO systems that put the minerals back in.
Well done guys really think you are Fabulous. Blessings to you both from the UK
Is that a large gorilla on the island. Lol
glad to see you finally past the long lonely passage. Congratulations! Thanks for taking us along!

Congrats to you for the crossing ! It looks amazing !

Hi,, put a pinch of sea salt in the cup of water, as sea salt has over 90 minerals, will make your water more healthy. Or you can ad some ocean water.
good idea!
Great videos 🎉hope you guys are doing well

teşekkürler.

that would be cool! It's hard witht he motion to have too much magnification

@@CalicoSkiesSailingI can't leave a comment for you guys. Are comments being blocked?
You should think about buying a filter to put minerals back into the water maker water. Keep on sailing , love to watch your vids.
there is actually a remineralize on our watermaker but still pretty bland haha. I think its more to keep the water soft
