Everyone says Bloomer isn't versatile and could only win in a dirt late model. Well, he won the biggest dirt modified race ever the first Alltell 100 ($100,000 to win), won a big NASCAR late model stock race on pavement in Virginia, ran two NASCAR All Pro races and finished in the top 5 both times, finishing 2nd at 411 speedway. He would have been dominant in any form of racing he pursed because he was obsessed with making his racecar faster than everyone he competed against.

I can only imagine what Scott and Larry would have accomplished if Scott hadn't gone to Masterbuilt I remember the 88 World100 where I first met Scott we just started talking while watching the street stocks race like we had known each other for yrs. Scott was a guy of many words and he always meant business. I had the chance to go work for him and I have always regretted it. RipBloomer Godspeed🏁🇺🇸🏁

So I’ve been a NASCAR fan for a long time and followed weekly asphalt racing when we still had a local track. That being said, I didn’t know much about Scott Bloomquist until a few weeks ago. I am very sorry I didn’t get a chance to follow his career. I’ve watched a lot of videos about him recently and he seemed like a very genuine, hard working and smart person. The kinda guy I like to root for. It seems like a lot of other people, Kenny included, feel this way too. I just hope that Scott knew how much people admired and respected him before he passed away. Very sad ending to a great career.

Scott Bloomquist dominated Kingsport speedway back when it was dirt I don't remember the years but it was in the eighties I was born in 75 but I remember it was every Friday or Saturday night at Kingsport I would watch to see if his red car would make it there to race and every time he raced he would win every weekend he had a red one and then he changed it to the black one #18 gosh he was really fast and really great and always there just about every weekend of course Kingsport is pretty close to his hometown of Mooresburg, sure gonna miss him Thanks for all the great memories Scott!

I can’t believe he did what he did. But I get it, Scott always did things and lived his life by his terms, he went out the same way he lived, in his terms and wide open. God speed wheelman
