  • Siptex is the world’s first large-scale facility of its kind. It sorts textiles by colour and fibre composition using near-infrared light, allowing it to handle large flows and produce textile fractions suited to different recycling processes.
Siptex - Swedish Innovation Platform for Textile Sorting - is funded by Vinnova within the Challenge-driven innovation program. The facility is owned and operated by Sysav. The research project behind is led by the IVL Swedish Environmental Institute and is implemented together with a broad consortium consisting of Swedish fashion- and textilecompanies, research institutes, authorities and actors from different parts of the textile value chain.
