Please don't misunderstand my comment. Maybe it was a little strong. I think your video is one of the best I have seen. Your grasp of the 777 is very good and very practiced. I am in no way a computer person, so I will leave videos like this to the pros. All I was suggesting.is that you slow your presentation down to your audiences level of understanding. Maybe this is for advanced gamers that have used a lot of different FMS's. I just started watching these videos, by different people, a few days ago. Maybe there are other "instructional" videos, out there, for beginners. Keep up the good work and enjoy what you do.
Matt, I must say this is probably the best flight sim video I have ever watched. And I'm no stranger to them. The immersion was unreal! P3Dv3 looks like a stable and pleasing platform. This video got me looking at prices for a new PC as my dual core from 2008 really struggles. But then I saw the price and cried rip. :P
I've been on this trip before, I flew from Melbourne e to Sydney then Sydney to Vancouver and that was 13 hours and on the way back i did the reverse but the flight back was 16 hours originally 14 but due to strong head winds it set us back a few hours. On the way into Vancouver put captain took us the scenic route as he called it over the north side of Vancouver island.

+Matt Davies that texture flashing is something to do with vatsim traffic. If you disconnect it will stop not sure if it's a vpilot issue or scenery problem
Matt. When your plane was backing in to the cold-a-sack, it does that in real life because the part you thought you were going to the runway is arrivals and so they move you in there for a bit. It always happens when I fly because my main airport is CYYZ
Matt, great video mate. If I may offer a suggestion, you should try to fly either Leipzig (EDDP) to East Midlands (EGNX) or Brussels (EBBR) as BOX 110 or BOX 118. Each is about 1:45-2:00 in a 777F. Thanks mate!

I've been getting that 'Safety Reason' message with GSX all the time recently. No idea if it's a speed issue, me being too close, using too much thrust, too sharp of a turn, or even just the follow me car getting bored. Very odd

If you decide to make a video with a complete installation guide then please, include an overview of your settings in the sim, the Nvidia inspector, as well as any config tweaks. And if there is any specific additions/settings to the sim or addon/s you use, like ASN, Soft clouds, etc. i'm thinking like a full sim setup package. I know most people dont run the exact same hardware as you but I know at least I would like to see what you have done to make things look as they do. I hope you take this into consideration. What are your autogen/FTX lights settings? I have FTXG with fairly liberal LOD/density and my lights have nowhere near that range or density. Does Vector increase the light range?
Man is that FlyTampa Vancouver? Its effing gorgeous. V3 seems to add some really nice colouration to everything, and the VAS thing is cool. The frame rate on the ground doesn't look like its improved a great deal for the heavy duty stuff and that stutter is irritating (avoidable by turning off save?) but apart from that I might consider looking at an upgrade.
Cheers Matt, Vancouver is defo on my list then! Re: V3, on your 1st V3 stream you mentioned the FPS was pretty 2.5-ey when taxiing, 15-20FPS with NGX, and you backed off a few settings. Did you find a good config, and what kind of frames are you getting on taxiways / lineup with a fully loaded sim? $200 is a metric butt ton of money right now and the clincher is if there are real FPS performance gains :D

How come you fly down to Denver and salt lake only to fly back up to Vancouver? Can you not directly route to Vancouver after passing over Minneapolis?
I would guess light bloom or whatever its called is turned off as its a frame rate murderer. In most aircraft, the landing lights have a "gang bar" above them to turn all the landing lights on in one motion or click.
Dear Matt, I really enjoy your videos, especially when you have nice music playing. But one thing that I always wondered was how you get such beautiful night lighting. I do know you use ORBX FTX Global but what else do you use. Maybe Vector, OpenLC and other scenery? Thanks. Ben

You don't have to leave the hydraulics off until push. They are meant to be one before the APU is started in the 737... same in the 777

You should see if you can use Fs passenger in Prepar 3d v3, and if you can you should do a flight with it.
