Keep up the good work! First time viewing video and watched all the way to the end because of your commentary. I grew up in Towson, Maryland just off I-83 & I-695 (Baltimore Beltway). Live in Boston, Massachusetts metro west suburbs near I-495 (north/south) near Rte 2 (east/west). Enjoyed your perspective on where you are driving (know very well the I-95 corridor in Philadelphia and went to college in the early 1990s near Pittsburgh and stayed near St. Louis along I-64 Foresf Park on July 22, 2020) and enjoyed hearing the topics shared about the trucking profession. (Didn't know how the business worked behind the scenes such as brokers, dispatchers, how dependent you are on delivery times, and liked how individuals can help the driver such as unloading earlier at "Ma & Pop" places if possible.) Your commentary ooened my eyes about topics related to your job. Your video made me appreciate the trucking profession much more that I already did. Stay safe out there on the roads!
When I drove my favorite time was at night when I’d get where I was goin and hanging out in my truck/sleeper I had everything I needed...there wasn’t any computers back then and a small TV was huge nothing like the slim flat screens now and I had me a small refrigerator in there. A 5 gallon bucket...that was very important!! And love when you sit in your sleeper and talk to us!! Keep up the good work and thank you for taking us along with you!! May God bless you and keep you safe through these bad times!!!!!
A friend and me took a drive up to the NY/NJ last year in April and went by the Eagles Stadium and 76ers Arena on the same stretch of interstate. It was a nice site to see.
Gliders are the way to go right now as long as you don't need to run California. On the other hand, I ordered my Classic brand new and took delivery in mid 2005. I ran it up to about 990k miles on just regular maintenance and PMs. Even though it was still a strong truck at that mileage, I took the entire summer of 2015 off to have the engine, trans, both rears and the front end completely gone through by a professional shop, along with some interior and lighting upgrades. It cost me about $50k but when finished, I basically had a brand new tractor again. That would be tough to do with a new one just because of all the emissions equipment on them. The best part though was that I got to spend the whole summer with my family and friends! California won't let me in because my tractor doesn't have a DPF or use DEF but I don't care. I don't need to run California to make money. Then again, I avoid running the Eastern Seaboard too. I'll do it if I HAVE to but, I prefer running the Midwest and South. Also, about 1/2 way through the video, when you made that left turn...that's EXACTLY what you should do when you have multiple left turn lanes. If you would've tried to turn from the other (inside) lane, traffic would've come up on your blind side. Then, you would've either been stuck or, taken a chance of causing an accident.

Def on checklist
Ewww...y’all ain’t really from Philly saying Tony ahitty Luke’s 😬🤢🤢🤮.. might as well go to pats or Genos the other shitty places tourist go to
@@remainloyaltoyour0wnsoil580 Cuz I ate at Geno's and Pats before it was a tourist attraction, Tony Luke makes a great sandwich and it's close for this guy to go when he drives to unload his rig with truck parking on Oregon Ave. So don;t tell me who is not from Philly, just might be you.
That guy is always there
Whats the axle ratio on your truck? If you're running a 2.64 or God help you a 2.47, that is the reason you don't have enough power.
Unsure to be honest it’s not my rig
@@otrookie It's stamped on the housing.
You need a go pro, Bro. Your head piece makes me to dizzy to watch your video's.
It is a gopro
Get your self a pete or a kenworth instead of the freight shaker any truck is better then a older freight shaker
Yea except same year Pete is 2x the cost. Would never get a Pete, w900 yea for sure. Just not a fan of Pete sleeper. Nothing wrong with nicely maintained classic
@@otrookie nice K.W is a good truck to espcially the t680 but the W900 is amazing older truck as well
Welcome to Philly
Do you truck up North around Pennsylvania? and New York
That’s my main spot actually. I’m in pa weekly 76/80
You would need two n14 ‘s for one CAT
You in my city. Philly.
indeed
Drivers are very rude in Philadelphia i find.
Why panic over 13 6 all that means is anything over 13 6 u can go under it at 13 6
Ahhhh. Lovely Philadelphia 🙁
No that’s a double decker bridge
i lived in philly, and the road sucks. i always want to be a trucker what are some company that you recommend that gives good hours?
No idea really as I only worked for one
@@otrookie I'm looking for one with CDL as well. but I see allot of bad reviews on most of them saying where you don't get your own home time, where they don't pay you OT and stuff. especially during this time I really want to look for a job
You had plenty room to make that left hand turn without holding up traffic behind you who wanted to use the right lane for that right turn
Better safe than sorry. Plenty times it looks wide then you take the turn and realize it’s not. They won’t die over 5 mins
@@otrookie true that man.. be safe out there I'm currently at a truck stop in hanover PA lol only been trucking for a month I'm a rookie too
Did you call that boat fat?
Hahaha
Hahah I didn’t look probably did
What company you drive for?
Got a lot to say about Philly lol.
Thought you quit trucking.
