- I am not going to lie: I found out about this movie from a tiktok. A tiktok promoting the movie but dylan obrien was in it. and you know what I am not afraid to admit that I am a dylan obrien girlie. okay I love that man. This movie, Not okay, is really good. I liked it and I want to talk about it.
First of all,,, Zoey Deutch and Mia issac are amazing women. They truly are so great. I am so happy we got to watch them bring this story to life. I think the concept is very real and captures internet culture well. Also, Dannie Sanders or zoey's character has NO sense of individuality. It is almost like she is in costume through out the whole film because she is trying to be someone she isnt.
Mia's ending with the poem was FAN TASTICCCCCCCC okay LIKE THE DELIVERY AND EVEN THE WORDING OF IT

Okay but honestly, I did think Dylan O'Brien's presence in the movie was going to be larger but it is okay because we got some good content for fan edits anyway.
I didn't watch the trailer. I do not watch movie or tv show trailers because I frankly think they ruin the movie. Sometimes they tell you the whole plot of the movie right from the start. it is so annoying. ANyway so I didn't really know what was going to happen but they tell you at the beginning of the movie anyway. I think it was really well done and the concept is something that people do all the time.
We see it here on UA-cam but this hulu movie just captured it perfectly. I think it is interesting that people do go to great extents to photoshop themselves and fake stuff for clout but hey they SOMETIMES get cancelled. I bet if this followed a male lead we would have seen a redemption arch. I do like that danni did not get one.
There were so many times she could have just cut off the lie. BUT IT KEPT GOING AND IT GOT WORSE AND WORSE HAHA OH MY GOODNESS. IT WAS LIKE SCREAMING AT A TV TO NOT DO SOMETHING.
The fact no one fact checked it until her coworker got angry about her getting an office is more accurate to real life than I would like to believe
Colin’s “where’s my damaged little girl” “I’ll protect you” is a MAJOR ick, I’m just… EUGH
That influencer party scene when dani first walked in and said "you smell nice" to colin... gurl that's just WEED
Omg your reaction was spot on! Like I loved it but felt throughly uncomfortable for the entire movie. And yes, Dylan making his like, sex scene debut or whatever with that cringefest was vomit inducing.
If it were me, I'd say I got on an earlier flight, which resulted in getting there at nighttime, and then photoshopped it to look like daytime.
Owns up to any fakeness caught in the pictures, and still maintains the lie without making it worse.

All the way ways to still get away with it without saying she's a victim? That is what a LIKABLE female protagonist would do.
