  • uhm okay well I have to say.. i barely finished this movie. Okay like i FORCED MYSELF to keep watching hoping it would get better and let me just tell you.... it did not. it got worse as it went on. I read the book and I had no idea this was even going to be a movie. I just saw it randomly on Netflix and thought omg I LOVED THAT BOOK.
it is obvious that Jenna welch was not involved in this process. I have no idea why they didn't just RENAME THIS SCRIPT INTO SOMETHING ELSE.
and okay look... I know it is a running problem that books to movies are never going to be like the book but it seems with Love and Gelato that they DIDNT EVEN TRY to retain the plot. they made the bestie an influencer??? imagine if she vlogged the trip haha anyway...
Also I think we are ALL done with characters being overly quirky clumsy types.
There was so much missing idk man... like why didnt they just name this something else?????
    #commentary #reaction #netflix
I was so excited because I truly did love the book.

I haven't read the book but I watched ten minutes of the movie and immediately came to youtube to find someone who hated it as much as I do. I can't go back and watch the rest but glad I found your video to get the idea that the rest is even worse than the first ten minutes. P.S. you got a new subscriber!

I cringed so much, and didn’t like the movie. I didn’t even read the book but I just could tell it didn’t follow it. It felt rushed, and they didn’t showcase the relationships well in my opinion. It went back and forth between Ale and Lorenzo and even that felt super rushed

Literally cringed through the whole movie and absolutely hated who they made addie in the movie and overall was not the same vibe like this should have no association whatsoever to love and Gelato

girl me too. I read the book and then watched the movie completely different. Georgia became Mimi. Rome? Where? Where’s the cemetery? There’s a lot of missing characters and places 🫠
Also love your editing 😍❤️ ur funny

They took her from a teenage girl who’s defiant and independently trying to find herself/falls in love along the way and turned her into a quirky, annoying, boy crazy girl. I couldn’t get through more than half of it. She’s falling all over the place but in the book she’s running a casual 7 miles in the morning. The giant palace she’s staying in just does not make any sense.
Not to mention her mom just “found” a camera at a flea market. She was a photographer???!!

I waited for a plot for two hours straight, but then I realized it just didn't exist. When I first saw that Saul Nanni was in this movie, i was so excited because I've waited for something like this since forever (I knew him from a series I watched in my early teens and I have been in love with that person ever since). However, this movie managed to disappoint me after only a few minutes. I could write a whole essay on its flaws, but actually that would be such a waste of energy. The protagonist was so far away from reality, her character did make no sense at all. Don't tell me you're a shy introvert and then go and scream at a boy which you do not even really know in front of a whole restaurant in your pyiamas. Also, the movie didn't know where it was going, it felt as if there were like 10 different plot lines (all of them bad ones) going on at the same time but none of them had a real goal where it should have gone or even something in that direction. Plot line with richkid? Going nowhere. Plot line with ratatouille guy? Going nowhere. Every single other plotline? Either making no sense or just GOING FREAKING NOWHERE.

At least Alex Boniello is really good to excellent in it,Correct??Since ALT SPACE was not shown in theaters,I doubt anyone can watch it on DVD. I might be happy if I see his performance in Love And Gelato. I'll take the /any movie with him in it.🙂
