Technically, Superman did not need the whole Justice League to lift the city of Atlantis and take it to the Sahara desert. He is strong enough by himself. I do not understand why they downplay his strength in this way
Why don't you transport super villains to The phantom zone? Also I don't understand but I guess the storyline would end if you transported all the villains away
