All of my best rounds were when my only swing thought was a 3/4 swing a la Tommy Fleetwood. Basically, same distance due to a better strike. Club up if unsure. Surprisingly, works very well with the driver, too. Ps: worth trying "to stop" at impact, then you'll get a nice abbreviated follow through. Otherwise, too late. Regards!
This is all I do in my winter practice sessions: only half swings. Five swings without the ball, three with the ball, with every iron in my bag. With wedges, distance is pretty much the same than with full swing, but much more consistent.
This is a great drill and swing thought.

What device is he using to tell the distance the ball carries and how much is it? Also Is there an app that does this?
