Thank you so very much for taking the time to show where everything went I know I've watched at least 50 videos (felt like 500) and they all just showed where the links came off the carb... very, very frustrating. Anyway, thanks so much great job
This is how all DIY videos should be. Not jerky, very organized, clear voice, and answers the questions anyone might have. Thanks - for that I subscribed.
Absolute lifesaver. Thanks a ton! Got my Father In Law’s riding lawn mower broken with an order to fix it. Had no idea how these were routed properly. Realized I have the choke linkage spring and arm backwards. Looking forward to getting it fixed now. Thanks!!
Thank-you! Just did a head gasket install and the little push/hook linkage had come out of the slot and I had no idea how it was routed. Your video showed me exactly what I needed to know!
this is exactly what I needed, thank you! the mower I'm working on was missing the choke linkage and I wasn't sure how it hooks to my engine. oh and by the way your voice reminds me of Bob Ross and is very soothing.
Thank you so much for the video. I wasn’t paying attention like I should have when removed the junkie Niki carb that hydro locked my 18.5 hp Briggs. I figure the throttle linkage but guess I lost that choke one up top so just ordered from Amazon.
Thanks a bunch for showing how the linkage is connected to the engine. Shame that I found this a little late. But they do say it is better be late than never. Cheers fella and peace to you too. VF
Very interesting, it answers all my questions, I had taken off by mistake one of the linkage and did not know how to put it back, what a releif you showed precisely how to re-connect these links, thank you
Excellent video. Definitely appreciate your help on that. It was even easier picking up a bag of Parts when you showed the throttle plate or bracket whatever it's called.... good job anyway
So i have a single niki carb. On my v tec has horizontal shafts. But i have a small spring and no place to hook. My set up of carb and engine appears to not b common and can find NO clear info. Can u help. ?????
My Choke linkage pushes it into the choke position However, when i move the throttle back to the run position the choke stays Closed !?! This is a brand new replacement carburetor why isn't there a spring on the choke linkage to turn the choke off ?? Or should i return the carb ??
Very helpful video. Thanks. I'm somewhat confused about the horseshoe end of the choke linkage. Does it just slide into that slot and get pushed? It would seem like that end should be connected to something. Maybe I missed something.
Took me two days to figure that linkage out. Mine had no slot where yours did and it was completely dark and black in there. I finally looked up the part no. for my control bracket and found a new photo of the discontinued part. Without that photo I'd still be lost. B&S has a pdf of all their control brackets on line. It's a great place to start if anyone is confused about linkage connections. My governor spring has probably been broken for some time and the mower seems to have run well, apparently without it being connected. I'm rebuilding it now to fix a float issue but I'm wondering if it really needs that $10 spring, that will probably break again.
Thanks. I heard that those springs are found to be almost always broken. Mine is broken off right at the carb end. I think I'll just try to gain another inch or so and reconnect it.
I just recently put in a new carburetor, fuel filters, fuel lines, spark, plug, carburetor, ignition coil, and now I have no control over the throttle. It turns over fine, and it runs really fast and hard. The carburetor is factory reset all the linkage is perfect. What else could it be? also, maybe I should mention that it is a craftsman riding tractor YT 3000 I believe 21 hp platinum engine
Your video was extremely helpful and the camera angle was perfect at showing where everything goes. You were straight to the point!
Thanks for watching!
You saved me, I was way overthinking the choke piece of the linkage . I tried it every way but the simple way which was correct!
Happy to help. Thanks for watching.

This is one the most thorough videos on the throttle linkage assembly I've seen so far. GREAT JOB!
Thank you!
You are the first and only person to show where the long spring goes! Excellent!
Thanks for watching!

Thank you so much for this video. I agree, the rear side of the control bracket was very helpful.
Thanks for watching!
I haven't needed to take it apart as much yet (carburetor clean) but thanks for showing the rear side of that control bracket with the spring.
You are welcome. I am always happy to help!
That choke u shape assembly had me baffled. Thanks for the video!

Thanks for the video. Could not figure were the spring hooked to the motor.

Excellent video. Do you know why the choke comes on at high throttle position? Seems like a backward idea for carburetors.
Very good Video .
Thank you very much!
I need to get the Walbro carb and guess I better call them and see what is correct for my Brigg 18.5 hp Intek. Website not so great at explaining.
Excellent. Thanks

Yes, the horseshoe end connects to nothing. It just gets pushed. Thanks for watching.

I don't know why you think that the spring will break again. If it runs good without, then save $$$. Thanks for watching.

So, it's stuck in high speed? Governor?
where do the wires connect from the antibackfire solinoid to the engine
Without having that unit in front of me, I believe the wires go from the solenoid to the key switch or the starter solenoid.
I have the same engine and carb on my poulan mower, could you give me a little bit of help with it???
I can try.
Thanks...helpful

Does anyone have a link for parts? Linkages and carb?
